Transparency regarding why we're specifically receiving DMCA strikes I appreciate that copyright exists and I as a creator need to respect those rules however I believe music is an integral part of my streams and my current growth on twitch. I have no problem removing and replacing some songs in my playlist however there has been a tremendous amount of inconsistency when it comes to what parts of my streams are being muted.
I would love a way of knowing which songs and why are getting copyrighted so I have a chance to learn from the problems and not just be told I'm doing something wrong.
I appreciate…

Paridy lyrics policy I was wondering if the policy of parody lyrics could be clarified. Most of your policy says as long as a good attempt is made to match the lyrics.
However some comedy channels might want to use parody lyrics improvising a parody acapella on the spot.
we're not using a recording of the song but we are singing in the cadence and notage of the copyrighted song but we're singing alternate lyrics.
Like for example I noted that the Billy Ocean song Love Zone happened to come out at the same time that we discovered The warp zone in Super…

Ads for songs: I'm not a professional YouTuber but I got a dmca notice for friends wedding playing I will always love you at the actual wedding.
I think the owners of that song got so many requests to do that and so many backlash against it that they decided to do ads for songs were they placed an ad on the video that's clickable in return for letting the video played the song.
I was considering giving everyone a 5 second theme song to my regular listeners. Since the music is copyrighted I've since held back. maybe ads for songs would be…

Allow for known accepted licenses to be publicly available I know that there are labels in talks to make their catalogues available on twitch. For example I had reached out to Cold Busted Records, and they informed me they were working on a deal with twitch. Please make these things public, by artist, by song, by label. That way we can knowingly choose who to play.
Thank you for the recent efforts.

Permanent fix for music that's used more than once If I listen to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture on my stream, it will be flagged as a copyright violation due to there being some copyrighted performances of it. (And yes, there are plenty of non-copyrighted performances available on the internet, which are 100% legal to use in this way.) Appealing that the copyrighted work does not appear in my video is a very slow process, leaving my VOD muted for most of its lifetime. And then if I use the exact same piece of music again in the future, it's going to be muted again, by the same faulty copyright bot…

Not be punished for 24 hour streams Hello,
I propose a way to allow nature streamers affiliate if they have good viewership during the day / night hours when their streams are more active.
As a new creator I have a hard time reaching the required average viewers. My stream is of my fish tank, which I stream 24/7. The problem is that during the day when the lights come on is when I get viewers, at night you can not see much and then I loose viewers. However, both count towards my average viewership.
I have a feeling this affects many nature / animal streams and…

Videos of live performances of classical music should not be muted. No one owns classical music. Classical music performed from sheet music should not be muted. Just because someone has recorded and published a performance should not give them a right to block someone else's performance of the same classical piece. The process for disputing the muting of performances needs more options and attention.

Cursing on stream with minors So me and my friend have been wanting to play together on stream but she is an adult and I am a minor so due to you guidelines we have not been able to could this please be changed abit like you have to be over thirteen or something for it to be allowed because if you can watch it what is the difference. There really is not one so you contradict you own rules when you allow minors to watch someone curse but then when you go to play with them they get in trouble it just make no…

Profit Amazon Prime Music, respect the artists. Why don't you mix the 'Watch Parties' service and Amazon Prime Music together?
It's a service in Twitch in joint with Amazon Prime Music
so that the Creator could play a music and the only way the viewers can
listen to the music is by registering through their own Amazon Prime account.I'm going to call this 'Tune Parties'.
For people that just listen to music during stream, the streamer plays music on the
'Tune Parties', and viewers have a option to hop in just like the current 'Watch Parties' service. However, in case of streams of music creators who…

copyright issue solutions 1.impose copyright costs on TWITCH subscription fees so that all replay videos with copyrighted music can only be viewed by subscribers
2.Troubleshoot music copyright issues with fees by banning all third-party Donation Apps and allowing only beats(official donation) (doing so on Korean streaming sites)
3.Dividing profits with copyright holders like YOUTUBE

TWITCH RULES When will you stop banning for nonsense? enough already. They should improve the rules because nowadays everyone who watches twitch will have seen someone naked, either in person or on internet pages, and that you can get PERMANENTLY banned for teaching nudes WITHOUT WANTING AND BECAUSE OF OTHER PEOPLE, The streamer has to pay for it, it is very unpleasant that they ban for such nonsense and then they leave people who do more things and not even ban them. This tweet more or less describes my message. WAKE UP. https://twitter.com/thebalde/status/1319307517638397952

mute vods and clips by default to protect your content creators from the dmca vultures, you should make all vods and clips muted by default pending review and the channel creator could manually un-mute after they have reviewed the content for any potential dmca audio.
