   Stop rate limiting your most dedicated active users

   I often end up being rate limited when creating clips. Getting errors that state "Whoops. Something went wrong." or having login issues until I wait 24 hours and retry again.

   I'm an active moderator for a lot of channels and I enjoy highlighting streamers success and entertaining moments in clips. The problem is that I keep getting rate limited or identified as a "bot". The DDoS and rate limiting is currently overly aggressive and keeps hindering your most active contributors.

   Please consider this and make some sort of change.

2. Make better decisions when banning

   Make better decisions when you ban people and look more into it, you always ban my favorite streamers over the stupidest things. They could say one cuss word and you will ban them. Twitch is supposed to be an entertainment platform for all ages and for us older people we are more entertained by someone close to our age, we can relate better and we can engage better but when your banning streamers we watch over the little things, like their adult humor, we tend to get annoyed with your platform. My idea is to make better decisions when you ban people or maybe put an age restriction on streamers who use adult humor more. But you have to take into consideration that some things just aren't that bad. A lot of older people have adult humor and just because they use adult humor, it shouldn't resolve in a ban, especially when this platform is their job. The more you do this kind of thing, the more people are gonna switch over to a new platform, so please do better Twitch.

4. Sexual education content

   Twitch recently introduced the ‘content classified’ categories.
   I am talking about sexual education, no nudity, and I have been classified as “sexual themes”.
   It is a nightmare for me as hot tub girls are also classified as “sexual themes”
   Viewers come to my stream asking me when I will get more naked. They also tell me I shouldn’t say “sexual themes” as I am not doing hot tub.
   I understand we need to protect children but please we need to add “sexual education” classified content.
   I cannot stream with this category

5. streamhack

   Le streamhack est un problème récurrent surtout sur LoL et LoL est un des jeux star de Twitch.
   Il pourrai peut-être se régler par grâce à la liaison de notre compte LoL à twitch. Étant donné que notre compte LoL est lié à Twitch, on pourrai tout simplement comparé les deux (celui du viewer et du streamer) pour savoir si le pseudo/compte est dans la même game que celui du streamer.
   Rendre obligatoire la liaison du compte Twitch et LoL dans le cas où le viewer à Lol de lancer sur son device (Discord récupère cette info alors j'imagine qu'on peut la récupérer), si Lol n'est pas lancé sur le device alors la connexion/liaison n'est pas obligatoire.
   Voilà c'est une idée, rien d'abouti mais je pense que ça peut se creuser et ça rendrait le streamhack même pour les autres jeux beaucoup plus inaccessible et rendrait l'expérience utilisateur du streamer comme des viewer beaucoup plus agréable.

6. Twitch's report tool for ordinary users in DMCA violation cases

   Twitch's complaints system is completely ineffective in dealing with DMCA violations.

   It's part of Twitch's rules, that Twitch considers complaints against DMCA violations only from copyright holders. But how copyright holders could reach small channels, for 5-10 viewer? Of course they can't! And any day, any night i can see a dozens of active channels that broadcast movies and TV series without any rights to do so, grossly violating their user agreements with Twitch and DMCA, but i can't even report them for this.

   If I want to complain about a violation of DMCA, I'm redirected to pages with lists of rules and procedures, the essence of which is that only the copyright holder or his representative can send such complaints. This mean, in fact, that i, simple user, one of thousands and millions, have no option to report about violation of DMCA.

   What should I do when I see such a violation?

   I think, Twitch should allow all users, regardless of their status and connections with copyright holders, to complain about the violation of DMCA.

   Perhaps this could be in the form of a complaint of alleged copyright infringement that would not require the complainer to be a representative of the copyright owner. Such suspicions of copyright infringement would be dealt with in the usual way, but still it is better than now, when such a complaint simply cannot be filed.

   I think it's abnormal that Twitch created rules that ordinary users, the backbone of a healthy community, can't complain about breaking.

7. Show viewers everything a channel owner or moderator can see about them in chat

   In light of features like shared ban info https://safety.twitch.tv/s/article/Safer-Together-Making-Twitch-Safer-with-Shared-Ban-Info , the suspicious user controls https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/suspicious-user-controls and users getting marked as suspicious (but not unmarked) as soon as a channel they are banned from raids another, I would like to request that you be more transparent about the effects of this terrible and poorly implemented "feature".
   When I saw the announcement about it at TwitchCon EU 2022 in Amsterdam last year, it was already immediately obvious to me, that these features, intended to curtail harassment, are more than likely a poor aid, and much more likely to be abused as a vehicle for harassment instead.
   Streamers on Twitch and their moderators, by and large, are not professional, and generally unable to recognize the difference between having a disagreement and harassment. This is made worse, when you consider that moderators are mostly chosen for their presence in the chat, which results in a significant majority of moderators being the type of person who is never busy, because they can't work due to a disability or mental illness. This leads to overaggressive ban behavior in certain channels. Banning viewers for "entertainment" as a practical joke (which might end up leaving you marked suspicious or restricted because the ban was so short, the task to unmark from unbanning completes before the task to mark from the ban), and a whole host of other unprofessional behaviors.
   These "anti-harassment" features, as you call them, are wholly incompatible with the notion of "the channel owner is free to ban whoever they want, whenever they want" as well. Since now doing so, is likely to mark the banned user as "suspicious" in other channels over what can be something as simple and insignificant as personal differences. But the tools you provided are advertised as a anti-harassment tool. The impression of any channel owner or moderator who is faced with a "suspicious user" will be that this user is suspicious first and foremost, and they will not be lead to the thought of "innocent until proven guilty", but more often go as far as "this user is suspicious, it must be for a reasons, let's ban them just to be safe". It should hopefully be obvious what the future entails: There are now two channels this user is banned from, given time and more raids from these channels to other channels, the effects will amplify. Being on your best behavior, like your FAQ on these features suggests does not help. In fact, often enough, you will not even be given the chance. If there are people who are harassing you using these tools, they will even use phrases like "check the ban count" or "check where this user is banned in the mod view" to support their false claim of the user they are harassing to be abusive, in hopes that the user gets banned from a channel and the problem further amplified.
   Since these details are only shown to moderators if they manually look at the viewer card or if you send a chat message in the channel, and a viewer may have reasonable interest in not calling this kind of attention to themselves, please provide a small alert, similar to the alert that shows when a channel is in follower or subscriber only chat mode, that shows the viewer this information before they try to talk in the channel. Viewers may also want to avoid to use bits, channel subscriptions (even if they only do so anonymously) and channel point redemptions, or even just watch the channel they are marked as suspicious or restricted from chatting in, because they do not want to render financial support to those who present as hostile against them or who emotionally support or side with their abusers and harassers.

   The new labels are redundant and invasive. you already have to click yes that you'd like to view mature content. why is it needed to click through another warning? why cannot the content labels just be displayed rather than a click through. I suggest this because my content is already labeled 18+ all the content warnings are included in 18+. so stop requiring the content warnings as click through and add it as a visual label on top of the mature content click through.

10. Contents Label of each countries

    For now, content labels are based on the ESRB. However, I believe that standards should be set against the countries and languages of the streams.

    For example, there are cases of violence in ESRB but not in CERO. In addition, the content is sometimes modified depending on the country in which it is released, so it is not appropriate to apply uniform standards.

11. Suspension being used as a hate tool

    There has to be a better way before going into suspension of an account for something said either in private or public chats. I have experience 3 different people from the LGTBQ+ community be hate reported and suspended for "unsolicited sexual advances" and this being automated is a huge problem as the community can be targeted, you need to have person review this kind of reports before suspending as its not fair for people to get suspensions on the word of a report

    Ich finde die Inhaltskennzeichnung ganz gut, würde aber gerne wissen bzw. sicherstellen wollen das es sich um gekennzeichnete Dinge handelt die im Spiel vorhanden sind. Es geht mir zbsp. darum das ich Raucher bin und mit Drogen nix zu tun habe, in meinem aktuellen Spiel "Crime Boss" kommen Drogen vor. Jetzt stand eben auf meinem Channel das in meinem Stream Drogen und Tabakwaren vorkommen. Das finde ich nicht besonders gut. Es muss klarer definiert sein das sich die Inhalte aufs Spiel beziehen und nicht auf meine eigene Person bzw. meinem Kanal. Wie kann man das auseinanderhalten? Ich spiele, Spiele die lustig sind und Spiele die dramatischer sind. Als Erwachsene Person kenn ich jedoch die Unterschiede. Ich möchte meine Follower nicht abschrecken. Ich würde mich freuen von Ihnen zu lesen.

13. Allow everyone over 18 to opt in/out of the content warning categories

    I have no issue with having content warnings if they are done well, but they are intrusive and not helpful if they are everywhere.
    If I am happy to watch specific content, the alert should allow you to have an option to opt out of getting this warning again.
    Or they could be added to the Twitch Notification settings panel, and allow opt in/out for each content type.

    Having content warnings is absolutely ridiculous for anyone who is over 18. Don't treat your users who are adults like children. We don't need to be warned that the people we sub to swear in their streams.

    Please give us the option to hide all mature content warnings, age gating, and similar alerts. Their existence alone is insulting and disrespectful to me, but at least hiding it lets me forget about them.

16. Keep the Maturity Tag *AND* have Content Classification

    I think the new content classification feature is an incredibly useful tool to have. Allowing creators to specify their content and giving an audience the ability to know that a stream may have something that is not for them is great!

    As a streamer who is SFW and doesn't have any content that would fall under these classifications, though, the loss of the maturity tag means that I am losing a valuable feature to keep my community safe.

    Why I don't want children in my space despite being completely SFW:
    It is a LOT of work to keep children safe when you are allowing them in your community. They are inherently vulnerable. Not every content creator is equipped or prepared to take on that burden. Allowing children into your space means that your moderation has to be VERY strict to protect them. Their brains are still developing and you have no idea what passing comment could stick with them forever. Not to mention that regardless of how well you try to curate your community, anyone can watch whisper children privately. It is not something every content creator is prepared to take on. Children are considerably more likely to form unhealthy parasocial attachments to you and not recognize your and this can make enforcing healthy, distant relationships considerably harder. Many streamers are not equipped to take on this burden and used the blanket moderation tool as a way to enforce this boundary.

    Why having the blanket "mature" tag in addition to the content classification labels is the safest option for many spaces:
    I sat in on the Patch Notes today and brought this up. The staff that was there offered a somewhat helpful alternative after clarifying that they are not considering both of these options together. This suggestion was:
    Use the freeform tags as a way to let people know your content isn't for kids.
    While this is helpful in a small way, many people completely miss these tags. Sure, kids may ignore all the messages anyway, but a parent monitoring their kid's watching habits and helping to determine which streams are safe for them may very well not notice a tag-- they WILL, however, notice a message on the screen letting them know that I have set the boundary with my community that it is intended for non-minors (Mature content warning). Removing this ability makes it considerably easier to violate this boundary on accident.

    I know MANY streamers who do not have the bandwidth to dedicate extra resources into moderating with children in mind, communicating with them in a way that doesn't impact them harmfully long term, and doing the extra steps to do what they can to help protect them from predators. In these cases, the blanket maturity tag allows us to easily and clearly set the boundary without risking it go unnoticed by parent OR child.

    How I would suggest implementing this:
    Just have both. The blanket maturity tag wouldn't absolve people of having to specify the kinds of mature content under the new standards for classification. It would just also allow those of us doing our best to keep communities safe by gently keeping children out a much easier time to enforce these boundaries.

    I'm also happy to speak to anybody further about why this is so important to me, or to connect you with other partnered/affiliated streamers who feel the same.

    I think the new content classification feature is an incredibly useful tool to have. Allowing creators to specify their content and giving an audience the ability to know that a stream may have something that is not for them is great!

    As a streamer who is SFW and doesn't have any content that would fall under these classifications, though, the loss of the maturity tag means that I am losing a valuable feature to keep my community safe.

17. Better Content Classification Options (Poss Safety Issue)

    The New Content Classification drop down appeared today and the mature content has been removed. However, The categories need to be developed further and made clearer.

    For example - In my stream I have always put the mature content warning on - not for any specific reason. Occassionally there is some light harmless inuendo as part of the banter (nothing really worse than someone mispeaking something that sounded a bit rude, or someone making a 'said the actress to the bishop' comment.)

    According to the new options, this would mean I would have to label my stream as having 'Sexual Themes' and be labelled in the same way that someone who has content to draw attention to certain body parts and having them take up the majority of the screen.

    It also feels totally unsafe to put a 'Sexual Themes' warning on my stream for light inuendo, as it would almost certainly attract the wrong kind of viewer. Can these labels be further defined with more options asap please?

    I do feel this is about to cause more issues than it will fix.

    I see the new stream labels, but don't see one for those who don't swear on screen. we feel kinda left out in the label update.

20. A username AT user.twitch.tv email address for chat ban appeals and other stuff not meant for chatting public

    If you want to talk about reinstating chat rights to someone who thinks they've been wrongly chat banned, there should be some way to get a hold of this person, especially from more than 5 years ago.

    So twitch streamers don't have to give out their private email addresses they should be given a public email address that ends in twitch.tv. , Maybe @user.twitch.TV to differentiate it from corporate people who write from twitch?

    That way they could deal with administration of their twitch stream fairly and honestly without involving the chatting public.

    This was based on my experiences over 5 years ago with a certain streamer who I still would have liked, and with at least like to go away sit in the record straight for my perspective and hearing the streamer side. My case was not clear enough rules and inconsistent application of the rules.

    I got permabanned without any warnings, the first time I got violated this seemingly unmentioned rule.

    But there's no place in private to talk about it once you lose your check connection you are cut off with no chance to come back.

    Either bans should not be permanent or if they are there should be a way to appeal directly to the streamer outside of the stream.

    By the way I learned from this in a similar situation I asked questions like what is the expected age appropriateness level from the chatters. For example if I see people with "showy bodies" on stream, if a comment is related to that I have to ask is that a topic you want mentioned on the show but trying to do that without violating the rule itself it's kind of tough. The easiest question to ask "Is your inbound chat stream expected to be rated E, E10, T, M or AO?"
