multiplayer ads is the worst idea twitch has had and they have had some bad ones
Could you please just listen to the viewers? literally nobody wanted you to change or likes the change you did. Please just get rid of the multiplayer ad idea completely, it removes the purpose of gifting bits. It makes it less personal. The streamer cant thank you as an individual for gifting him bits and now i cant buy tts messages like i used to. #freethebits

Stop promoting actively harmful greenwashing nonsense
The latest offender is the Adidas feelgood "save the oceans" shoe advert that makes me want to puke
Lets turn plastic bottles into fine plastic threads that break down even faster into human reproductive hormone disturbing, blood brain barrier passing, bioaccumulating microplastics! Sounds like a good plan to save the oceans, depopulate the planet!
Stop promoting this garbage. These companies are criminal, their greenwashing is actively harmful. The solution they are marketing is WORSE than just burying bottles in the ground. Stop assisting them in their quest to destroy the ecosystem and hasten the decline of human population.
Be better.

Let streamers pay to disable pre-roll ads
I'm running advertisements on social media to increase my audience on Twitch.
With these pre-roll ads, everyone that clicks my advertisement has to watch this pre-roll ad on Twitch, meaning there's A LOT of potential fans that are not able to watch my concept for 1 single second because the ads are scaring them away.
Growing an audience on Twitch generally means more subs => more revenue for Twitch AND the streamer.
That's why I had the idea to let streamers pay for disabling the pre-roll ads.I know there's an option to run ads on the entire stream, disabling…

Turn multiplayer ads off for subscribers
For a lot of people the entire point of subscribing is to get ad free viewing, at the moment any time a multiplayer advertisement is shown subscribers have to watch it. Maybe let the subscribers opt into the ad instead of forcing them in?

Prerolls Audience Loss vs Self Run Midrolls Data
Ads have an impact on viewer retention. When someone new comes to a stream, an ad can discourage them from waiting - and simply close the tab. That hinders growth. However, self-run midrolls (to disable prerolls) may have the same effect...
If we can see the impact that running a dreaded midroll can have on our potential to bring in new viewers - the friction against running ads may be lessened.
So my question: When will there be information on our dashboard analytics on how many people leave during a preroll versus midroll?

Don't roll ads as soon as we click on a stream
Pretty much what the title says. Also, instead of having the stream minimised during an ad, have the ad in picture-in-picture mode, otherwise it's just intrusive and turns viewers away. Similarly having multiple 30 second unskippable ads doesn't help either, having a small ad window eases this.

Have a button that allows the viewer to execute the ad break.
Ads are a serious issue. Especially when watching a stream and an ad hits at a crucial moment. To correct this, allow the viewer to choose when the ad hits. Maybe there's a break in the action or maybe the viewer needs to go to the bathroom. Have a button that allows the viewer to execute the ad break. Then allow the stream to go for 30-60 minutes. If they don't execute, then the ad runs on the timer as usual. This way, not only will the viewer be more incline to watch the stream, but they will be more…

Exempt Mods from Ads
I suggest Mods should be exempted from ads to but to keep people from abusing the system, we limit the accounts that can be modded in a channel. Streamer get 1 mod at the very start and for the first 5000 followers you can add 1 mod per 1000 followers so a total 6 at 5000 followers and after 5000 followers you get 1 mod every 500 followers. So it keeps pace with viewership and going past that when u get high enough the viewership you add a mod every 100 follows

stop showing me the same ads 100 times a day
If you have to show an ad every 5 minutes when i watch a stream or click onto a new stream then at least have a variety of ads. I have seen the same 2 ads for the last month and i am starting to get violently angry every time one of them starts to play. So my feedback is.... If you are going to show such frequent ads at least have multiple different ads to show.

As an "Editor" for another streamer, I am not able to access the Ads Manager
When I try to access the Ads Manager for a channel I'm an "Editor" in, I receive "Access Denied". I also do not see the "Ads Manager" panel in the Stream Manager (I can however run regular ads).
I am able to access my own Ads Manager.
I am able to access the other channel's "Stream Manager" dashboard.
The other channel owner confirmed my "Editor" level access. Is this a known issue? Are "Editor" permissions being rolled out for this feature? Are there any additional steps required to grant "Editors" access?
Thank you!

Inappropriate ads
Why are there quitting smoking ads on Twitch? I quit years ago and now everytime I see this ad, I get cravings. Thanks!

Get rid of Fire Alarm Ad
I don’t know what made someone think adding an ad about batteries (I believe) that involves a smoke detector going off right at the start was a great ad revenue option. I can think of literally thousands of other ads that I’d prefer to encounter. Horrific for headphone users. Can’t imagine trying to watch a stream late at night and having that ad be the one to go off. Absolutely unpleasant experience.

Allow Editors to see "Pre-Rolls Off Timer" like the streamer can in Dashboard
Streamers now have a Pre-Rolls Off Timer in the creator dashboard. This is a very nice feature, since they can see how much time is left, and they can keep the time up by doing short ads, opposed to doing 180s every hour. However, how are channel Editors supposed to know how much time is left on Pre-Rolls being disabled? They can't. The only way for us to know they're disabled is to torture our non-subs with 180s of ads every hour. 180s of ads is horrible though, and people leave.
It would be a great help to the site,…10 votes -
No forced ads during music streams.
Ads during music streams are incredibly disruptive due to the fact that the audio is the primary focus of a music streamed. Forced ads are inherently detrimental to the quality of the stream and content. I propose that as a part of any future Ad policies that Twitch not implement forced mid-roll ads on Music streams of any kind.

As per GDPR, personalized ads are supposed to be OPT-IN, not OPT-OUT.
Every time I log in to my account, I am greeted with a possibiltiy to manage personalized ads, and it looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/8HUIhPP.png
By default, everything should be off unless I explicitly state I allow gathering my data.

Give viewers the option of when to view ads
To prevent viewers being in a situation where they miss live stream content, give users an option to "View ads now instead of on the regular timer schedule", which would then reset the timer. Yes you have to view more ads, but you then are guaranteed ad-free content for the next X amount of time (whatever the current timer is set at for running ads).
i.e. Watching a speedrun, on PB pace, 20 minutes left in the stream, but there's an ad in 15 min. I really don't want to miss the end! I'll just play an ad now, deal…

Affiliates should be able to disable ads!
Affiliates don’t earn enough from ads to have to deal with the headache of them consistently rolling when they’re gaming or whatever content they’re doing! We should have the option to TRUELY DISABLE THEM or have a timer when the next one is gonna show, YouTube has a marker that shows when an ad is gonna run, I get with live streaming that isn’t possible but if I know the times they’re gonna run, I’ll be sure to not start a game or pause the video or stop my content for the 3 minutes it’s gonna run, so my community…

Illegal increase of Volume Netherlands
According to the R128 Norm the add volumes are not allowed to be increased in the Netherlands. How come I cannot gamble my channel points because I am in the Netherlands, but I do get US add volumes? Normalize add volumes already. So many posts are about it to the point that it is its separate Topic. How hard can this be. Especially Bosch Home Appliances. Their add volume is 500% increased.

Remove ads for modererator so us streamers can have 100%
remove ads for mods as we can have 100% conversation option if mods are not sub. then they do not have to wait for 4-6 commercials to hear what streamers say
