Have a button that allows the viewer to execute the ad break. Ads are a serious issue. Especially when watching a stream and an ad hits at a crucial moment. To correct this, allow the viewer to choose when the ad hits. Maybe there's a break in the action or maybe the viewer needs to go to the bathroom. Have a button that allows the viewer to execute the ad break. Then allow the stream to go for 30-60 minutes. If they don't execute, then the ad runs on the timer as usual. This way, not only will the viewer be more incline to watch the stream, but they will be more…

As an "Editor" for another streamer, I am not able to access the Ads Manager When I try to access the Ads Manager for a channel I'm an "Editor" in, I receive "Access Denied". I also do not see the "Ads Manager" panel in the Stream Manager (I can however run regular ads).
I am able to access my own Ads Manager.
I am able to access the other channel's "Stream Manager" dashboard.
The other channel owner confirmed my "Editor" level access. Is this a known issue? Are "Editor" permissions being rolled out for this feature? Are there any additional steps required to grant "Editors" access?
Thank you!

Get rid of Fire Alarm Ad I don’t know what made someone think adding an ad about batteries (I believe) that involves a smoke detector going off right at the start was a great ad revenue option. I can think of literally thousands of other ads that I’d prefer to encounter. Horrific for headphone users. Can’t imagine trying to watch a stream late at night and having that ad be the one to go off. Absolutely unpleasant experience.

Turn multiplayer ads off for subscribers For a lot of people the entire point of subscribing is to get ad free viewing, at the moment any time a multiplayer advertisement is shown subscribers have to watch it. Maybe let the subscribers opt into the ad instead of forcing them in?

Fix Pre-roll Ads These are some ideas to improve the experience of the user when trying to find new channels to watch.
Disable pre-roll ads for streamers with few viewers. Right now the user is actively punished for switching channels and this actively harms the discoverability on the platform.
Add a cool down since the last ad was played before a pre-roll can be triggered again. A value as little as 5-10 minutes could greatly improve the experience.
When running ads not triggered by the streamer it should continue showing the stream (eg. picture in picture with the stream audio muted). Right now…

Prerolls Audience Loss vs Self Run Midrolls Data Ads have an impact on viewer retention. When someone new comes to a stream, an ad can discourage them from waiting - and simply close the tab. That hinders growth. However, self-run midrolls (to disable prerolls) may have the same effect...
If we can see the impact that running a dreaded midroll can have on our potential to bring in new viewers - the friction against running ads may be lessened.
So my question: When will there be information on our dashboard analytics on how many people leave during a preroll versus midroll?

If you're going to force pre-roll Ads on people then find a different way to do it Never in my life have I bought something because of an Ad on the internet and that will never change. On top of that the pre-roll Ads are preventing me from viewing new streams. I'm never going to click a new streamer and be like "okay cool i'll wait this 30 seconds to see if I even like the streamer", if you're going to force pre-roll ads then put it in a window in the corner and adjust the volume so I can hear both the Ad and stream. Or better yet don't try to force them on people!

Illegal increase of Volume Netherlands According to the R128 Norm the add volumes are not allowed to be increased in the Netherlands. How come I cannot gamble my channel points because I am in the Netherlands, but I do get US add volumes? Normalize add volumes already. So many posts are about it to the point that it is its separate Topic. How hard can this be. Especially Bosch Home Appliances. Their add volume is 500% increased.

If you're going to force ads on us, at least put it in the right language. You (twitch) clearly don't give a **** about it's users. I am English. I live in Eastern Ontario (Canada) STOP GIVING ME ADS IN FRENCH, GERMAN AND OTHER LANGUAGES. MY PREFERENCE IS SET FOR ENGLISH.
OBVIOUSLY THAT MEANS IM ENGLISH SPEAKING AND PREFER ENGLISH INTERFACE. WHY THE **** WOULD YOU THEN PLAY ADS IN OTHER RANDOM LANGUAGES.
You people are complete idiots that can't even get something this simple correct.

Inappropriate ads Why are there quitting smoking ads on Twitch? I quit years ago and now everytime I see this ad, I get cravings. Thanks!

"Watch ad later" Option I think there should be a way to "watch ad later". Lets say you can "save" up to like three ads to watch in another time. Once the limit is reached, you are "forced" to watch them. This would be good because sometimes we get in a stream in key moments and/or ads come up during key moments of the stream. That way we can save the ads for a moment when nothing really is happening on the stream or the streamer is taking a break.

Make it a choice to participate in the ad, and give individual users credit. Make it optional to even watch the multiplayer ad, and incentivize participating by awarding the viewers with the bits. This is not a great replacement for bit ads, all individuality is taken away, and this is just another thing to obscure or block the content I'm currently trying to watch, and being FORCED into, instead of CHOOSING to support by watching ads. In addition, if I'm subbed to a creator, ad breaks and ads when joining the stream do not play, so if I suddenly wind up being forced into ads so the streamer can give himself some bits by…

Allow Editors to see "Pre-Rolls Off Timer" like the streamer can in Dashboard Streamers now have a Pre-Rolls Off Timer in the creator dashboard. This is a very nice feature, since they can see how much time is left, and they can keep the time up by doing short ads, opposed to doing 180s every hour. However, how are channel Editors supposed to know how much time is left on Pre-Rolls being disabled? They can't. The only way for us to know they're disabled is to torture our non-subs with 180s of ads every hour. 180s of ads is horrible though, and people leave.
It would be a great help to the site,…12 votes -
Let streamers pay to disable pre-roll ads I'm running advertisements on social media to increase my audience on Twitch.
With these pre-roll ads, everyone that clicks my advertisement has to watch this pre-roll ad on Twitch, meaning there's A LOT of potential fans that are not able to watch my concept for 1 single second because the ads are scaring them away.
Growing an audience on Twitch generally means more subs => more revenue for Twitch AND the streamer.
That's why I had the idea to let streamers pay for disabling the pre-roll ads.I know there's an option to run ads on the entire stream, disabling…

Ad volume synced to broadcast If a broadcast is tagged for ASMR, myself and many others believe that ad volume should be synced to the broadcast volume (or a standard low volume) as to not jump scare viewers. As a viewer and streamer, it is extremely off putting and a major deterrent. There has to be a way to fix this.

Stop Spamming You're killing this platform with ads, it's unbearable, every stream I watch I see users complaining about ads constantly. The nature of live-streaming is that you must be able to consume the content uninterrupted, you're not only trying to force ads on us, you're interrupting sometimes HALF of the content being broadcasted. You can't bully everyone into subscribing to a service that doesn't care about the user experience.

Let streamers purchase the ability to prevent ads from displaying Ads disrupt the continuity of many streamers' broadcasts, e.g. a musician playing a song, a magician performing a trick, etc. So please implement a feature that allows streamers to prevent ads for all followers. You could charge a monthly fee. Many would gladly pay for this.
To other streamers up-voting this feature, please consider telling us what you stream specifically and how ads hurt the quality and continuity of your stream.

Gambling ads shown to Finnish viewers, but they are illegal here I, as well as some other users, have recently noticed that Twitch has started showing online casino advertisements to Finnish viewers.
Advertisement of any kind of lottery games or gambling is very strictly limited by law in mainland Finland, only being allowed for one government-owned company and only within very specific guidelines and situations. For example, any games that have a risk of causing addictions can only be advertised within the casinos themselves; never on TV, magazines, outdoors etc.
These ads come up on nearly every stream as pre-rolls if I view them in an incognito window, regardless of whether…

Upcoming Ad Break notification doesn't work There's a drop down in the Ads Manager to send a notification a certain number of minutes before a scheduled ad is about to play. It defaults to OFF.
However, setting this to something other than OFF apparently does not work, because no notification appears either for the viewer or the streamer.
