1. What about using the overlayed mini banner advertisement on the screen? (Burned in ads)

   I'm understanding that we need ads to continue this platform, but what about making the smaller size of stream display ads? Like the Overlayed artificial ads on sports broadcasting? I hate the ads that hurt the stream's context...

2. adds too long it s ruinning twitch

   hey twitch , i understand you re a compagny and you try to make money although it s been multiple time now that i have 3min adds on some stream , can you realize what 3min is in a direct diffusion ? how much stuff i miss ? how left out from eveything i feel during those awfully long minutes ?? 30 secondes before seemed long but 3 *****
   ng minutes ? are you crazy ???? i stopped watching the television due to the add and switched to youtube and twitch and now you do the same ? don t be surprise if less and less persons use your platforms with a attitudes like that , you already don t treat the streamer the best way and now the viewers as well (if we consider you treated them well in the past) i find it disgusting , that and the subscription costing most , honestly i will say goodbye to thief like you soon . i know it s useless to say that because you will not care but who knows .

3. be able to rewind after ad or pause stream during ad!

   I am really sick of how twitch doesn't care about it's viewers. Every time i visit a channel and watch a streamer for a while then post a question in chat, every single time a 3 minute ad then immediately begins. there is no way to go back in time to see if streamer answers the question. the really disrespectful situation that often occurs is when you donate bits with a message or donate to the streamer and a 3 minute ad starts. on youtube we can scroll back on a live stream to catch what we miss and we can even set it to 2x speed to catch back up to live stream or just skip back ahead once we caught the thing we missed.

   Twitch is literally worst then even cable TV. Back when i used to watch cable tv i was so sick of seeing same ads play over and over again with no way to skip or fast forward, however you at least didn't miss your show, the show paused when ad plays and resumes after ad, not Twitch! Twitch forces you to miss 3 minutes of content, not only that but potentially interactable content with you that you now missed. And with a 3 minute ad playing every 10-15 minutes on most streams, it's unwatchable!!

   Why does youtube have option to go back in time but not twitch? I know some streamers have option of seeing VOD while stream is still going, but most streamers turn this off, likely due to the incredibly strict copyright issues with Twitch now and they don't want to have their channel taken down because they walked past a store playing music on the street, so this isn't even an option anymore.

   Turbo is simply too costly, i refuse to pay same amount as a netflix or youtube or amazon subscription for something that does nothing but let us not see ads, and it's not even guaranteed, you can still get ads, and not only that it makes you feel guilty going on a stream with turbo interacting with a streamer knowing streamer can see you are spending money to twitch but not subbing to them too, so it makes you feel like your not contributing to the streamer, but i can't keep paying $5 a month to every content creator i follow, that ends up hundreds a month, it's absolutely absurd and far more costly then any other platform, even more costly then cable tv, and twitch takes half of all money earned!!!

   I understand ads are required to maintain the platform, i totally get that, if you don't want to sub to each individual creator you follow or pay for turbo, you will have ads, that's not what I am complaining about here, I am complaining due to no ability to pause the stream and resume after the ad, no option to go back in time to see what you missed, that's my problem here.

   I always go to youtube over twitch even if I am subbed on twitch! Because youtube is so much more convenient in way i can pause, rewind, etc.

   So tell me Twitch, are you proud your worst then cable television when it comes to inconveniencing your customers? Why should we watch content on twitch if we completely miss huge 3 minute chunks of content with no way to go back?

   whats wrong with you guys? i know you want money but what is this ads spam on streams lately man? its so annoying. you enter a stream you get 2 minutes ads, and then its like every 5 10 minutes 2 minutes ads 2 minutes ads over and over again. you literally make me close the website and do something else. you dont even care whats going on on stream, best moments are ruined by ads now more than ever before. its not like oh sorry for the 10 sec ads, you are spaming 2 minutes and sometimes more. and people who pay for ads you have to know that we end up hating your products. dibu, i love you but thanks to twicht i would never go to try your double eggs burger and i hope mostaza goes bankrupt.

5. Reduce the Number and Length of Ads

   If I see the number of Ads be 4 or more in a row on any stream, REGARDLESS of how long they are, I am closing the app.

   If I am waiting more than 3-5 mins for ads to complete, I will also close the app.

   I know Twitch needs its money to run and be profitable, but several ads running 10+ minutes is not it. People will not sit through it. They will just leave.

   Find a way to balance the number of ads and time spent watching them, so people will engage the site for longer. Break up ads more. If Ads are ran, wait for 20 to 30 mins before running them again. You want people to stay on the site right?

   Our time is valuable, and we can find other sites to watch what we want. If you want viewers on Twitch, the ad amount and durations need to be reduced site wide. More people on the site should bring Twitch more engagement and money.

7. Stop front loading ads! It isn't worth sitting through the ads when just checking out a new streamer

   Why when I want to check out a new stream or something interesting I see on the front page, am I greeted with at least 30sec of ads if not more. This generally makes me just close the window or go to a different channel. This is very counterintuitive to growth of really any streamer. I know I can't be the only one out there who does this as well.

8. Reduce costs by bandwidth reduction

   1920 x 1080p have 6Mbits of bandwidth, limiting this for viewers that not contribute to 640 x 360p like max quality will reduce money cost, so with the saving, twitch, can pay much more money to streamers and get a business much more profitable. So the clients would are happy of see that some more of their contribution go to favorite streamer. Twitch should explain the new change for comprehension of clients. The lacking viewers will one day contribute :).
   You can also give 1 month of better quality to those who collected a certain amount of bits

   calculations as an example:
   360p at 2Mbits
   (1/3 of 1080p)

   Saving
   4Mbits of 6Mbits
   (2/3 of 1080p)

   3Mbits(average) * 3600 (seconds)
   = 10800Mbits (1 hour of stream)

   (((10800Mbits * 4 hours) * 30 days ) * 5 Millions viewers that not contribute) * 1 streamer

   6,48 * (10 ^12)Mbits at month

   This month * 500.000 streamers

   3,24 * (10^18)Mbits

   turned into money(1000Mbits at U$D 0.10)

   ((3,24 * (10^18) / 1000Mbits) * 0,10 cents)

9. Let me see a channel before an ad so I can decide whether it's worth staying

   When I browse channels to find something to watch I want to know whether sitting through an ad is worth my time. If you show an ad as soon as I open a channel, I'm leaving, because I don't even know if I care enough to sit through the ad. That's how ads work. They are by definition annoying and an obstacle, so the question is always, is it worth staying. If the channel is worthwhile, I'll sit through the ad. I've left channels innumerable times because an ad comes first and I don't even know if I want to stay, whether there's an ad or not.

   Also, too many categories on this feedback site, I don't even know what difference some of these are. I don't work for you, I'm just a casual viewer. I'm sure most of us are, hopefully, because twitch is a last resort of entertainment.

10. Pre-roll Banner ads

    Pre-roll ads should be banner ads during the first 10 minutes viewing stream.
    After 10 minutes, play a video ad.

12. Adds Bugging Out Make Twitch Unusable.

    When encountering an add while watching stream the video will close itself immediately and you will be back on the previous page (like closing the stream manually). Then every time you try to go into that stream or a new stream an add will show for half a second then close the stream again. This continues for some time even after closing Twitch and reloading it. I have to spam open streams until it finally decides to work.
    Thought maybe the bug lasted for the length of the add but it has recently and continuously taken over 3 minutes on the last of three 15 second adds, of spam opening streams to stop encountering the bug.
    This happens every time an add is shown and when you encounter ads every 15 minutes this makes twitch unusable.
    This occurs for me on Apple iPad and Samsung Android phone.
    This bug has been encountered in the past but has really become prevalent since the continuous weekly updates to the app.
    Please address this issue.

14. Alternative to Timeouts

    Hey, listen to this quirky idea I've got. What if Twitch let streamers toss an ad at someone instead of just timing them out? Like, imagine someone's acting up in chat, and instead of the usual timeout, the streamer hits them with an ad break. It could add a funny twist to how things are normally done and fit right in with the vibe of some Twitch streams.

    Now, It might make sense to put some restrictions on the feature, so people dont overuse it, but I still find it to be a good addition if added.

    For people with sponsorships, they can set custom ads for their sponsored product so they can play them during ad breaks to rake in extra customers at the cost of a fee depending on how often they want to play the custom ads

    As a sub, I like to support my streamer, or atleast have the option to, so I would like it to be optional, on the user side, to toggle whether I want to see ads or not.

    give everyone ads regardless where they come from and make everybody equal, no tier 1, tier 2, 3 nonsense. i have twitch streamers confronting me upfront that where i live gives them little to zero ad renevue. this is not right, this is not fair, this is segregation. every countries has ads, they have businesses and software companies, mobile game companies that pays money for advertising.

    twitch should take this problem seriously as more and more streamers are looking at advertising world tiers and they look at it and they say "huh no wonder my stream isn't making money, look at these Tier 2 countries! look at these poor people! TIER 1 COUNTRIES OR BUST"

20. Allow the content of streams to be watched

    Lately, Twitch has been "What channel do I want to be given ads for Simulator". It's impossible to switch streams without being bombarded. When attempting to watch one specific stream, good luck.
