just because the window does not have focus or is muted does not mean i am not watching
as soon as i alt+tab back to it, or unmute i get 3+ ads

Chrome ads: horribly annoying! Normally, I don't mind ads. I know ads are the way Twitch makes money, as well as Twitch's content producers. But, the ads for Chrome are so annoying that every time one comes on, I immediately close it, and, there are WAY TOO MANY of them that play. (Most of the time, two Chrome ads play in a row!)
The stupid ones where a person is pressing thumbs in your face (making it look like the person is on their cell, the one with the stupid fake dog, and that annoying one where everyone says, "uhhh....." I hate them all!

Ads on twitch vods. I left an ad to finish by itself by opening a different tab. I go back to the twitch vod and another ad pops up right after... I do not think it's the streamer's fault. It's genuinely twitch with their interesting ad placements in vods...

Improve Ad Selection If you're going to barrage with ads using the same depressing, awful ad on repeat makes Twitch unwatchable altogether. You have to at least select some variety and some entertainment or creative value. And nothing that is an ideological push.

Ads visual bug I'm experiencing a weird bug about ads both on the pc and on the Twitch app. Basically the advertising starts but i can only hear that and the livestream keeps going overlapping its audio. This lasts only for a couple of seconds and after that the ad stops. This tho makes it so the browser doesn't recognize an ad has been played and keeps doing this every few minutes. Option to TURN OFF ADs Why are we FORCED to play ads??? Small streamer like myself only get stunted by them and forcing people to sub to not see them is just BULLKAKA. Why noy give the affiliates and Partners the right to turn them off? After all the only one losing on not showing ads ate the stream. But when you think about it the viewer will win by not being forced to watch! Not to mention that Advertisers will get better placement of there ads and twitch might make a few coins more! Audio ads Audio ads less disruptive. I am never going to reply to an ad, I am FORCED to listen to dozens of times. I already buy cheetos, I shouldn't have to listen to that music countless times an hour. It makes me mute ALL ADS. Find another revenue stream. It is ******* people off.

Remove Domestic Abuser Streamer 'Neekolul' from Amazon Music Advertisements Remove Neekolul from Amazon Music Advertisements and Twitch in general. I just received an ad on a Twitch channel for Amazon Music that had Neekolul promoting it. Why is she being given business opportunities by Twitch/Amazon? She was charged with Domestic Assault in 2018 (https://www.sportskeeda.com/esports/abuser-playing-victim-neekolul-s-domestic-abuse-story-backfires). I don't even know why she is allowed to continue streaming. It seems like there are double standards.

Add the ability to sync ads manager scheduled When collaborating with other streamers it would be great to be able to sync ad managers to run the ad spots at the same time on each stream so the streamers can plan the same breaks at the same time.

Scammers who spin bots to view ads, they need to be dealt with. No stream is worth sitting minutes worth of ads This isn't really an idea, more so my personal opinion on how the site is working, maybe it will be taken into consideration when making future decisions. There isn't a single stream on this, or any site, and there never will be, that I consider worth sitting through minutes worth of ads. a button to watch ad whenever I want If I can choose to watch ads between my streamer's matches, I'd watch way more add than I do currently (add captcha to avoid bots) and not miss any of the action.
Also, if I watch more than X ads per hour, I get to watch them without audio and with streamer audio, so I still have a small streamer window with its audio. Twitch'd make more money and viewers wouldn't be angry whenever something worth watching is happening and the ads ruin their experience.3 votes -

Bug when watching stream There seems to be an issue with ads. When I'm watching a stream Twitch shows way too many ads, like it's way too many more than shown on tv, way more ads than any marketing expert would advice you to show, way too many ads than any person with common sense would want too see. Not only there are too many, they are long af. I will change platform before you force me to pay because the streams are unwatchable for how many ads you put. Jesus!! chill with the f ads!!

Enable streamers to control ads for VODs Currently, Twitch themselves control when and where the ads appear in VOD's. The issue with that is that Twitch doesn't know where is the appropriate place to place said ads. It should be left to the user, as they can more appropriately place them, as to not disrupt the flow. Just tell the user how many ads and they can place them.
