VIP chat room Based on my experience watching a lot of DJ's currently streaming the chat can get very busy and this makes it hard to keep up with conversations.
Could a 'VIP room' option be added where there is either a separate chat for any Subscribers/VIP status members or could some of the other users chat be filtered or offset to make picking out chat from certain users easier?
The username colours help a little but as this is repeated a lot in a busy chat the username has to be read to pick out comments from friends.

Alphabets/Foreign language filters A way for streamers and moderators to filter foreign languages in chat, and different alphabets.
As an experienced moderator for large streamers on Twitch, one of the most common "rule-breakers" are the ones speaking in a foreign language. Usually larger streamers who are English spoken wants to have their chat 100% English, therefore a filter for foreign languages outside of the English alphabet would be really helpful. As there are no current tools to really moderate foreign languages. This could be done by making a filter for characters outside of the English alphabet, such as Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Russian,

Add a clap feature! It would be cool if Twitch had a clap feature. For instance, beneath chat and next to channel points, there could be some button that could be spammed that would contribute to a clap meter. As more viewers click the button, the greater the meter shines (maybe from green to red, with red indicating high activity). I think this would be an additional way for viewers to express their hype.

chat timer Give users chat timers. Allow free users to send a chat once per 30 sec or a minute. sub users have shorter chat timer. I just joined Twitch, and the chat is so broken. 99% of chats are lost in the crowd.

Be able to see the entire ban list The banned chatters list is nowhere near a complete list of people I've banned, and it's not even in order of a person having been banned. There is no order to it. Please allow us to see the entire list of banned names.

focuss certain chat member an ability to have one chat member focussed and have a box come up with their messages specifically, for example if they're telling a story or something and you want to see all their messages

Accepted 'feature request' badge If you guys do incorporate this idea, can you guys create a new badge like 'glhf' badge or Twitch prime badge specifically for people who have requested a feature that has been implemented into the Twitch system so we can get recognition and have proof to tell friends and show chat. I think that by making these badges, it would encourage more people to request for new features that could improve Twitch quality and the community as a whole. We could call it the 'Uservoice' badge or something along those lines and the badge icon could be a cute little…

Feature to disable auto-relock chat (when loads of messages are being sent at the same time) When many messages are being sent at the same time in the chat, you can't really scroll up to look at an emote name for example. The chat auto-locks back to the bottom, no matter how hard you scroll up. A feature to disable that auto-relock would be great I think, so we can scroll up manually, then we can go back to the bottom with the already existing button.

In-Chat voting poll system I think the current in-chat voting poll system is great and gives viewers the opportunity to have a say. But right now it also gives you the ability to see the percentage and the number of people that have chosen said poll while the poll is still going on and henceforth could change other people's ideas that are yet to vote on the pole leaving the pole one-sided and biased based on other peoples votes. I believe that while the streamer is creating a pole there should be an option for them to turn on ☐ 'Anonymous polling' which wouldn't…

When tagging someone on chat, the content of the message should determine the order of names listed. For example when the words "ban" "unban" or "moderator" are mentioned, more than likely the user is trying to reach out to the Moderators of the channel.
In a similar approach, we can also track users of the last X amount of messages sent because the user may also be likely to be replying to a comment. If the content of the previous messages match what the user is typing, then they will likely tag that former person as well.I see that a lot of ideas posted regarding chat are about improving this tagging experience, and what better way…

A Second Chatroom To Preserve A Stream's Community/Culture Sometimes smaller channels get a large influx of people to the point that the existing community is drowned out and can't talk to each other. A channel I've been a part of for a year has 4000 viewers more than normal, and chat's moving so quickly the regulars can't even talk to each other. What about an auxiliary chat people can move to if the streamer has added them there for being a longtime community member? The streamer could either see both chats or the two chats weave into one on their end. And maybe this chat has a size…

Fix the constant disconnecting of chat. Getting a constant "Welcome to the chat room" message and not being able to interact with my chat as well as any other streamers is getting old. This issue has been around for 7 years at the least. It should be fixed by now

Option to not show the results before people vote A lot of the times viewers will manipulate the votes so the results are 50/50 just for fun making it very difficult to use the polling feature effectively.
It would be really helpful if there was an option to make it so viewers don't see the percentages and progress of individual responses of the poll until they choose their response.

Blocked terms When writing a blocked term, the user gets this message:
"Your message wasn't posted due to conflicts with the channel's moderation settings."When writing a long message, the user wouldn't be able to know which one of the words is blocked on the channel. And taking time to find out which word is blocked, and reformulating would be too complex.
The error message should print out the banned word(s) if the user entered one or more banned words, such as:

Add link whitelist The same way you can blacklist and whitelist terms in the chat, it would be useful to be able to whitelist links in the chat. Using a bot for this is not ideal because the links is deleted by the bot and still visible to users with extensions. Messages with links should not be sent at all and some links/domains should be whitelistable

Embedded Chat Iframe does not work in Chrome In chrome the embedded chat iframe simply displays 'failed to load module'.
It works perfectly in Edge and Firefox.
If I open the iframe src ('https://www.twitch.tv/embed/<channel>/chat) directly into a chrome tab - that works. It is only within the iframe that it fails to load.2 votes
