Verified status for everyone and /verifiedonly chat mode I would appreciate a very helpful feature for a lot of streams.
Feature/Requirements:
1) Make verifications and a verified status available for every user
2) Mark verified users with a badge on the profile page
3) Mark verified users with a badge in the chat
4) Implement a /verifiedonly chat mode
5) Link multiple accounts to the same verificationPros:
With the above mentioned features Twitch would become a safer and nicer place for everyone.
With the option for users to verify their accounts with their ID card, driver's license, or Amazon account and a chat mode for verified users…3,929 votes -
Adding pronoun information to chat For people who are trans and/or non-binary, letting streamers know your pronouns in chat so that your gendered correctly can either be awkward or difficult. An option for people to add their pronouns in brackets beside their usernames or in their profile cards in chat might help to let the streamer and/or chat know if a user feels it's important.

/spoiler command Users sending a spoiler could use this command to show it only to the people that really wants to see it. When using /spoiler followed by a message the chat will instead display a "Spoiler" button which when clicked will show the message.
Examples:
/spoiler The cake is a lie!
/spoiler The girl dies at the end of the game!
/spoiler The princess is not on this castle!

Established accounts only -chat mode Currently we have all kinds of ways to block various people from chatting, except the most important one: People avoiding bans by creating new accounts.
Thus we should have a new mode that only allows users with "established" accounts to chat, i.e. the account must be reasonably old.
Continuing with the theme of follower-only mode this should likely be configurable, with the number of days since an account was created for the user to be able to talk.
Suggestions for default: 7, 30, 90, and 180.
Even requiring 7 days since the account was created will make it significantly more…

Let chants be optional instead of removing them I know Twitch says the feature seemed to cause a decrease in viewership during their testing, but there are so many other factors that can affect that and many streamers who got to try out the chant feature really enjoyed it. I think it’d be better to make it an optional feature rather than remove it entirely, and let people decide on their own if it works for their channel.

Birthday Badge It would be nice to have a birthday badge for birthdays to indicate for streamers to say birthday to them , they should get a free emote and a badge maybe a free sub if possible

Chat Notes/Pinned messages I think it would be a great idea if the streamer or moderators could put a message/note above the chat to notify people. Whether it's temporarily for a minute or left there for the whole day.
Especially with bigger streamers who have a chaotic chat. A note or announcement can quickly be pinned at the top and everyone can quickly click on it and/or read it (a little pin symbol would be fitting I suppose).
Additionally, it can get annoying for streamers to have to answer the same questions over and over again. That's why I think a little note…

Recent chat history As a few channels moderator, if i need to refresh the page i'll loose all the chat messages. It would be great to reload lastest messages at least for mods and channels owners after refreshing

Pronoun bio field and chat integration Following up my comment on https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310210-discover/suggestions/42218083-pronouns-prefix
It would be great if there were a dedicated Bio field in which we could put our pronouns, and a chat feature similar to the functionality provided by https://pronouns.alejo.io/ to display pronouns right alongside names in chat. This could also be used to populate a tag-like display near the streamer's name.
Tags for streamers are a start, but I'd like to be able to consult someone's bio (if they choose to disclose pronouns) so I can refer to them properly when they're not currently streaming and be able to refer to viewers properly.

View twitch chat in VODS Hello, I believe a better suggestion would be for viewers to be able to see the twitch chat while watching vods.
I belive what makes twitch, twitch, and not something like youtube, is be able to see and participate in chat.

When clicking on a username in chat, see which channels you both follow Similar to Twitter, so when you click on a user's name in chat you will see:
A "follows you" tag so you know if they are following you, if you happen to see them in another channel's chat
An option to view "channels you both follow" so you know if you have any other channels in common
People often say they see similar names in other chats and it would be really useful to know what channels/interests you share with other Twitch users.

Add a notification sound for new messages in chat that plays when you are tabbed out. Add ability to turn on a notification sound for new messages in channels you are in, but you are tabbed out. It could be set to: notify about every message, notify about friend message, do not notify about new messages. The sound could be a simple BLIP sound.

Moderator banner I am a moderator of a Twitch channel which regularly has more than 1000 spectators. When we want to convey a message to viewers, it is often difficult to read...
I propose to add a new feature to moderators so that they can display a visible banner of all (as, for example, that of bits donations).
Thanks in advance.58 votes -
Add a symbol that imitates line-break Sometimes you need to post information to your channel that is best viewed when its multiline, like a table with header and rows, list of items or some mini-report from the channel bot.
Since IRC can't use CRLF in messages, I suggest adding a way for channel mods (avoids abuse) to use a special symbol (or double-space as in markdown) that would visually act as a line break.
That way it would be possible for mods (users and bots) to post quick summaries to the channel that are easy to read and do not require several posts to make it…

New chat mode, 'Anti-backseat Chat Mode' An idea that would help streamers control chat from back seating when playing puzzle games.
Allowing mods to put singular users into emote only mode if repeat offenders.
Allowing extra blacklisted words and phrases to be activated when only in this mode. (blacklisting things like 'the other way' 'wrong shape' ect ect.. for aslong as the mode is active.
Adding a banner somewhere in chat or overlay somewhere letting users know anti-backseat mode is active and not to do it.

Allow the ability to switch chat to the left side of the screen Allow the option to have chat on the left side of the window and the other options like the search bar and the friends list on the right side. Reason being that with dual monitor setups, if I'm playing a game on my left monitor, the chat is much farther away from my line of vision, reducing the ability to mod effectively

Add 24 hours timestamp format To turn on or off the timestamp for chatmessages is a great feature but, it's very annoying you can't select 24 hours format. Please add an option to select between 12 and 24 hour time format.

Off-line Chat features To help combat hate raids while streamers are off-line, how about a feature to disable chat when a streamer is offline? It can be a simple feature toggle "Disable off-line chat", or even include the ability for viewers to chat for a period of time after the end of stream before disabling. Also, a switch would allow streamers to leave it on, in case they use it for community features.

New Chat Badge for Time on Twitch Good afternoon everyone!
I think it would be a neat feature for users to earn a chat badge for a specific amount of the time that they have been on Twitch.
In my opinion, a 5 year badge would be appropriate for this feature (i.e. If I created my account in 2011, I would earn a badge in 2016).
This would also be a great way of saying thank you to those who have been using the website for a while and motivate those to remain on Twitch.
Users should also be able to enable/disable the badge in their settings…
