Add a notification sound for new messages in chat that plays when you are tabbed out.

Add ability to turn on a notification sound for new messages in channels you are in, but you are tabbed out. It could be set to: notify about every message, notify about friend message, do not notify about new messages. The sound could be a simple BLIP sound.

    add an ability to get alert(for streamer only) for first message of the day for each user in chat. like the first time chatter alert, only for each person the first message of each stream.
    I am a newer streamer and with a slower chat it tough to catch every time someone leaves a message. i don't want to miss chances to engage because i'm unaware there's a new message

    This doesnt make any sense. You guys are asking for something that doesn't have anything to do with twitch... This would need to be something from OBS or other streaming software.
    This is built into several common tools already too. In StreamerBot for example there is a built in feature for "do action when chat is posted" and you can set that to whatever noise you want.

    I'm also not understanding what you mean by "tabbed out", unless you mean you are streaming with a single screen and your streaming software is behind the application you are using. If this is the case, get StreamerBot or use the built in tools in the streaming software you already have.
    This has nothing to do with twitch's end of things.

    A sound notification is useful for small streams as usually the first 30 mins to first hour the stream stats empty and the streamer tends to forget about checking the chat.

    It needs of course the avility to be turned off once the stream is in full paced mode but I am sure most small streamers miss chats because they get used to stream to the void....

    I do not want to miss a single person in my chat especially when playing a fast paced game. It would be an awesome feature to have so you could enable or disable it. A bleeping sound enables you to glance at the chat and respond immediately before it scrolls out of view.

    I missed an important birthday message in my chat - I was sad about that. I watched my VOD back and they did not stay long as I did not respond in time/see their message.

    Please enable this feature as my twitch viewers are top priority.

    Upvote. I realize this is not something the top streamers want, but it's a constant request by new streamers.

    I suggest a sound effect when someone "@s" or 'pings' you in the chat you are currently watching. Same goes with receiving 'whispers' as well.

    I can't believe they don't have sound notifications for when you get a chat message from your users on TWITCH! Like wow. I'd like to request this simple thing be added.

    This feature still does not exist, it's terrible.
    It is the #1 feature for all new streamers.

    I should not need a 3rd party plugin or client to get audible notification when I get a chat message. This is all the more important for new streamers who do not have a huge base yet and due to infrequent messages, might miss someone asking questions without it.

    If you are on PC, you can download BTTV and it has sound notifications for whispers or Highlighted words

    please add this future i do not have a notfifi where it will tell meh if somebody chatted or not please add the feature
