Detect and block VPN and TOR / onion routing users Very simple, VPNs and TOR / onion routing are routinely weaponized by bad actors such as serial trolls and harassers to effortlessly ban evade Twitch's IP bans, especially when the bar to create new accounts is incredibly low (if not virtually non-existent). The time has come for Twitch to disable these backdoors that enable harassers and does more harm than good. Twitch uses IRC for its chat functionality, and IRC natively supports detection and blocking of these services. (Twitch just has to enable it)

Chat Roulette a filter for chat (like slow mode) but instead of slowing down the time a chatter can send a message, all people can send messages at whatever speed they want but only a random few actually go through. This would help bigger creators who have high viewership, because even if they have 30 second slowmode on, there is still thousands of people who can send a message within that time. This also helps creators who don't want to use 'money mode' but would still like their chat to be viewable. There could be a setting to determine how many messages…

Better Polls It'd be awsome if we could save preset polls that we use often, like what character/ game to play or what music style the vieuwers would like. A way so we can start a standard poll within a few clicks instead of having to fill it in manually every time we want to start one.

View Time Chat Restriction There should be a chat restriction that allows the streamer to restrict chat to all or some of the viewers, based on how long they have been watching. Similar to how Follower Only chat allows the streamer to restrict chat to all or some of the stream's followers, based on how long they have followed.
I think even a 5 minute timer before chatting would deter a significant amount of harassment, and it should have less of a stigma than Follower Only chat.

/poll isn't working in chat The /poll action isn't working for me on desktop or mobile. I've tried different browsers too. Not sure if it was happening to anyone else or just me. The button to open to interface shows when I type /poll but it doesn't open anything. /prediction works and all that but just not poll. I'm just a mod at the moment so I can't access the full dashboard to do it that way.

Brighter Poll Boxes I've been moderating for over a year now on Twitch, and the polls were a great addition when interacting with the communities that I am a part of. However, I notice that to a quick glance, they can seemingly blend in with the regular Twitch UI. I think it would be a nice feature to select a custom color for the poll boxes. This way, when a viewer is lurking and passes a side glance, they won't miss a potentially important or interactive poll and would also increase potential view participation!

twitch voicechat I was doing a Qna and I wanted it to be a little more interactive. So I am suggesting voice recording chat.
So, a viewer that wants to say something with their voice gets 10 seconds or (set-time) to say anything you want and the whole stream gets to hear it when requested. This would work if mods would review the voice recording to hear and see if its appropriate or not.2 votes -
flickering chat box As a viewer, I don't want my "send a message" box flickering, so that my eyes can be saved.
Steps to reproduce:
when watching a stream,
1. click on the "send a message" box and don't type anything
2. hover the mouse cursor over the 'followed channels' or 'recommended channels' without typing anything
3. you can notice the "send a message" box flickering between the 'clicked' & 'non-clicked' mode*It's not a big deal... but kind of disturbing.

Saving a poll My Friends play a lot of Tarkov and we always run a poll with raids about them escaping or not. Having to do it every time is kind of tedious when its the same poll. If we could have like 5 polls that we could customize and save for our stream, that would be pretty cool. Especially when there are no mods in chat, they can have their dashboard up and just click the button.

Refresh chat messages through overlay instead of scrolling, thus keeping messages in a fixed location, improving legibility. I've been looking at the way messages refresh in a busy chat channel. All messages are shifted upward every time a refresh takes place, thus, changing their location all the time. This makes it difficult to finish reading messages, as your eyes need to re-adjust constantly to new messages as well as all old messages re-appearing in new places. This is the case, even though messages stay on-screen sufficient time to read them, if only they didn't move.

create temporary (or permanent?) groups to continue chatting about a topic. Oftentimes interesting topics come up in streams but the only way to chat about it is via @ which everyone can see. After a while you need to drop the topic to not bother everyone else. It would be very useful to have the ability to create a temporary (whisper) group to continue chatting about that topic without bothering the stream's chat that might already have moved on/lost interest.

Readable colours issue Readable colors deteriorate after each update. I can even understand in advance that it will be updated if it is broken.

Left clicking on an emote in chat to automatically put it in your "Send a Message" box For example when the entire chat spams "LUL" emote because something funny happened, you just have to left click at one of the "LULs" sent by users and it automatically gets put into your "Send a Message" box ready to use.
This would make the Chat more active because you dont have to type the entire emote name especially if its an emote you dont know the name of, then you could just click on it and send it, instead of checking the name and typing it.

Free time setting in follow-only chat mode There is something I want to say about the follow-only chat mode.
In order to prevent indiscriminate chatting as soon as it enters streaming, it uses a follow-only chat mode.
When using this, the time setting is possible and the chat is not available for at least 10 minutes.
I think 10 minutes is a little long, so I personally want to set it to about 5 minutes.
Therefore, I hope that streamers can freely set the time setting in the follow-only chat mode.1 vote -

notification if someone @ you in stream some sort of notification when someone @ you during a stream as they are sometimes easy to miss if stream moving fast and you don't want to watch the chat continuously
