Alert sounds stop after a few seconds
The sound on the newly implemented Alerts that can be added as a browser source works intermittently. The sound works fine when testing using the "send test alert" button. However, when I am live, most of the sounds stop playing a few seconds through the redeem

I’ve had this happen too, so you’re definitely not alone. The test alert plays fine for me as well, but once I go live the sound cuts out halfway like yours does.
What helped a bit was checking my browser source settings and making sure nothing was set to mute or limit audio. I also tried recreating the alert from scratch, which oddly made it behave better for a while. It still drops sometimes, though, so it feels like something on Twitch’s side needs a fix.
I hope they look into it soon, because the feature is great when it works.

I’ve run into the same thing before — it usually happens when the browser source loses focus or the audio file isn’t fully buffered during the live session.
A few things you can try:
Check the browser source settings – Make sure “Control audio via OBS” is disabled if you’re using OBS, and that the source isn’t muted or limited by an audio filter.
Increase the alert duration – Sometimes the alert duration in your overlay is shorter than the audio clip, causing it to cut off.
Host the sound externally – Upload the alert sound to a stable CDN or hosting service rather than a local or slow link.
Browser Cache/Hardware Acceleration – Try clearing cache or toggling hardware acceleration off/on in OBS’s browser source settings.
If all else fails, try testing the same alert in a fresh browser source — sometimes duplicate layers or conflicting scripts cause early cut-offs.

If your alert sounds stop after a few seconds when live but work fine during testing, it could be due to browser source settings, audio routing issues, or browser limitations. To fix this, ensure your browser source is set to "Control audio via OBS", increase audio timeout settings to prevent browser auto-muting, clear cache and cookies, update your streaming software and audio drivers, and try using different audio formats like MP3 or OGG. If the issue persists, consider alternative solutions for better alert stability, and you can Download from https://scriptml.net/ for additional tools and fixes.
