I totally agree with this! Unlocking each emote as its level is reached makes progression feel fair and rewarding. Overwriting lower-tier rewards with the highest tier can be frustrating and goes against standard game design principles. Viewers should be able to enjoy every reward they earn along the way.

I’ve run into the same thing before — it usually happens when the browser source loses focus or the audio file isn’t fully buffered during the live session.

A few things you can try:

Check the browser source settings – Make sure “Control audio via OBS” is disabled if you’re using OBS, and that the source isn’t muted or limited by an audio filter.

Increase the alert duration – Sometimes the alert duration in your overlay is shorter than the audio clip, causing it to cut off.

Host the sound externally – Upload the alert sound to a stable CDN or hosting service rather than a local or slow link.

Browser Cache/Hardware Acceleration – Try clearing cache or toggling hardware acceleration off/on in OBS’s browser source settings.

If all else fails, try testing the same alert in a fresh browser source — sometimes duplicate layers or conflicting scripts cause early cut-offs.
