2. multiple stream info windows

   It would be really cool if we could save the stream info panel for each type of stream we plan on doing. Like for myself, I would like to have a stream info panel for my knitting project and one for each game I want to play on stream. Then, when I go to start a stream, I can just select the correct Stream Info panel for the topic of the stream.

   I think it would be neat to have such a feature as I see many streamers often have different topics on their streams. Thanks.

3. Stream Together

   The Stream Together features great, it be cool to take it a step further and offer tabs that appear on the stream screen to switch between the screens of users streaming together. This fits will also seeing how the chat and viewership merged between those streaming together.

4. Tarot/Divination Creator Club

   I think starting a Club for those of us who stream and do tarot/divination (Tarot category) would be very interesting and a neat category of streams to see get some growth and network between streamers. Rather than see eachother as competition, I'd love to meet a network of tarot readers and streamers to collaborate with.
   The goal of this UserVoice is to gauge interest in this topic and bring eyes from Twitch staff to this niche of their platform. Thanks in advance for your time reading this!

5. Backseaters and Spoilers in Chat

   With first playthroughs of games, right now there is a constant conflict between people in chat "backseating," and people--whether they are the streamer or another person in chat--who don't want backseating or spoilers.

   I have an idea that I think could greatly reduce the severity of this conflict.

   If Twitch were to allow a user in chat to be flagged as "backseater," and if streamers could only allow users into chat if they are below a certain "backseater count" (flagged as a "backseater" by ten users or less, for example--ideally a threshold the streamer could fine-tune for each stream), streamers would finally be able to enjoy doing a first playthrough of a game with minimum backseating and spoilers.

   The question then becomes, who would have the authority to flag another user as a backseater? I think there are two options here:

   1) Only the user streaming (or one of their mods) has the ability to flag any user in their chat as a backseater.
   2) Any user with a phone-number-verified account can flag another user as a backseater.

   Either way, while this wouldn't completely resolve the issue of unwanted backseaters and spoilers in Twitch chat, I do believe it would foster streams with less conflict and more harmony, whether the interaction is between the streamer and chat, or between people in chat.

   And if the potential for people creating alt accounts to reset their backseater count is a concern, then I propose that a backseater flag only last a set period of time, thereby giving a user the chance to redeem themselves.

   Otherwise, I propose one of two options:

   1) A streamer can also set a threshold for how recently a user in chat created their account. For example, they could set it so that only accounts created in the last 30 days can participate in chat.
   2) Only phone-number-verified accounts can be flagged as backseater. But of course, then my idea would only be effective for streamers who only allow phone-number-verified accounts in chat.

6. Feedback on Twitch DJ Program - A Solution for Actual DJs

   Dear Twitch Team,

   I’d like to respectfully offer feedback on the Twitch DJ Program and its current limitations, which unfortunately make it unsuitable for actual DJs. While I appreciate Twitch’s attempt to provide a solution for live streaming with music, the implementation of the DJ Program, as it stands, creates significant barriers for those of us who are professional DJs and wish to stream with music in a meaningful and authentic way.

   The description of the DJ Program states: "anyone can be a DJ if they want to live stream themselves playing recorded music for the enjoyment of their Twitch viewers," and that this program “applies to anyone who wants to DJ, and makes that activity the main focus of their streams.” This implies that the program accommodates anyone who plays pre-recorded music, but unfortunately, it fails to account for the essential aspect of DJing: mixing the music.

   DJing is not simply playing a playlist or pressing play on pre-recorded tracks. It’s about creatively mixing, remixing, and manipulating music to create a seamless performance that is unique to the DJ. Twitch’s DJ Program, however, only allows for the playback of pre-recorded music as-is, without modification, which leads to a critical flaw: once a DJ starts mixing tracks, their stream can be flagged as "not part of the catalog" due to the altered waveform, even if the music itself is from an approved pool like Twitch's catalog.

   This issue is particularly damaging because in traditional DJing environments, such as in clubs, DJs are legally permitted to use music from licensed pools (like the ones available in Twitch's catalog), but they are required to mix and creatively modify that music in their sets. The current program effectively says, “You can DJ, but only if you don’t actually DJ,” which is not only frustrating but also untenable for actual DJs who rely on mixing as the core of their performance.

   While Twitch's past approach to music and DJing was unsustainable due to DMCA risks, the current program still doesn’t offer a viable solution for those of us who wish to stream live DJ performances. A solution that would truly empower DJs on Twitch would be to offer the same blanket professional licensing that platforms like Mixcloud have secured. This would allow DJs to perform live mixes just as they are legally permitted to in clubs, without the risk of having their streams flagged or taken down.

   Twitch’s current design offers no protection for DJs who mix, only for those who wish to play static, unaltered tracks. To create a truly sustainable and legal way for actual DJs to stream, I urge you to consider implementing the proper licensing agreements with music rights organizations, similar to Mixcloud’s model, which provides DJs with the flexibility to mix music freely while ensuring compliance with copyright laws.

   Thank you for considering this feedback. I believe with the right licensing and some adjustments to the DJ Program, Twitch could become an incredible platform for DJs and musicians to share their art, creativity, and performances with the world.

7. Raidee Info/Raid Card

   I think being able to put some personal information into the Raid screen would be very helpful. Right now I love that it gives us how many times we've raided and the like, but I would love if someone could post a short message to someone raiding them.

   Ways this could be used:

   1. Communicate pronouns.
   2. A possible content blurb.
   3. For special events, you could change it to say "please enter without a raid message" to help control things.
   4. List if you have follower/sub only chat.
   5. Content warnings for those who are doing deep dives or playing specific games.
   6. Communicating partner pushes
   7. Communicating affiliate pushes

   I think that giving a little space for someone to communicate with someone raiding them might be nice, and it might help attract people to their channel if they aren't in a friend group.

8. Roleplay Mode

   A Roleplay mode option that allows streamers to switch on and off. Big streamers with decent viewers struggle to play out scenes within roleplay due to chat hoppers spreading "in character" information "out of character". This ruins a lot of content for the streamer, causes toxicity in their chats and just isn't fun for the overall viewers.

   Roleplay Mode would basically prevent this. By me watching one streamer who's roleplaying, and going to another streamer who's roleplaying, I would have a 10 minute chat timer to wait out before I can talk. I feel like 10 minutes would allow enough time for situations within the roleplay to pan out and allow content to flow more naturally, and also prevent the toxicity we are seeing in chat.

9. A New Viewer Experience

   Dear Twitch Team,

   I hope you’re doing well! I wanted to share an exciting idea that I believe could take Twitch to the next level and significantly improve both the viewer experience and streamer engagement.

   Currently, viewers on Twitch are limited to basic interactions like chatting or adjusting stream quality. However, many viewers would love the ability to customize and personalize their own viewing experience. I believe there’s a huge opportunity to enhance this by allowing viewers to interact with the stream itself, changing elements like webcam overlays, audio levels, and visibility of different parts of the stream.

   Proposal:
   I propose a new feature where each viewer can have their own personalized, interactive experience with a stream, including but not limited to:

   Webcam Overlays: Viewers can move, resize, or hide the webcam feed as they see fit.
   Audio Control: Viewers can adjust the volume of different audio sources (e.g., streamer's voice, game audio, music).
   Custom Overlays: Viewers can toggle different overlays on/off, such as chat, donations, alerts, or even the game UI.
   No Impact on Others: All of these actions are local to each viewer and don’t affect other viewers’ experiences.
   This system could be built to work alongside existing tools like OBS, giving streamers a streamlined way to offer more control to their audience without compromising their own stream layout.

   Why This Matters:
   Enhanced Engagement: Viewers will feel more involved by being able to control aspects of their stream experience.
   Differentiated Experience: It will provide a more unique experience for each viewer, making the content feel more dynamic and personalized.
   New Opportunities for Streamers: Streamers could potentially leverage this feature to offer special content or rewards to viewers who engage with the interactive options.
   This idea would open up new possibilities for streamers to provide highly engaging and interactive content that goes beyond simple chat or emote interactions.

10. For copyright disputes, please include an optional comments form for explanations

    In some cases, a VOD is muted for a copyright claim where the claimed song or work is not at all like the song or piece being played, or in some cases is public domain music (such as classical pieces which the streamer is performing live and not recorded or background music). While the dispute form is efficient, it is sometimes necessary to point out the discrepancy between what is actually performed and what is claimed since often these can be WILDLY different.

11. Challenge Tournaments

    Challenge another streamer playing same game (or) start in stream tournament between twitch streamers.

    Ex: In FIFA, one streamer can issue a challenge to another streamer for a 1v1 or start a tournament between multiple streamers.
    We will see random challenges and communities will merge together for that bit of time.

    Small streamers will get exposure if they have skill and streamers will actually have a very diverse community.

    Hence better recommendations, new streamers and twitch will actually be interesting.

12. Remove stream preview thumbnails from searches

    How bad an unfair your business model is Twitch an unfair
    The fact how you allow new viewers when searching for streams an games being streamed to be viewed before select it thats why il never get any new viewers.

    Remove the thumbnails only show name of stream an description an the tags cause new viewers are cruel all because they can see i have no webcam so new viewers never select my stream they only select ones that do have webcam thats what new viewers do they search for streamers an games they never bother to click on streamers that cant have a webcam
    So remove those thumbnails from search only way viewers can see your preview they have to follow you.

    Cause i finally managed to get my Affiliate status which surprised managed to lack viewers always cause way you Twitch run things unfair
    But what is the point now in having my Affiliate status when il never get anymore new viewers

    You may think this sounds harsh but im only telling you how it is an this is what always happens

13. Streams should have an optional thumbnail

    Just like in YouTube where there are thumbnails, I think streamers should have the option of adding a thumbnail to their stream. As when I scroll down through the browsing page, I usually am looking for something specific and it can get a little awkward when I look at a random moment of the stream. I think it would attract the viewers and would make it easier for a lot of them.

14. The Stream-Together feature has the potential of being the best interacting tool

    This is more of what I think will improve the experience of it:

    1-Being obs dockable

    2-Displaying easy to follow tutorials within the feature, maybe streamers sharing their experience with it

    3-Hype trains getting combined just like the chat rooms
    (I don't know if it is implemented already, can't find anything about it)

    4-Implementing special events for people that are part of twitch teams and stream together: Golden kappa hype trains chance increase; Emotes and Badges(not ai ones pls)

    These are few of the many ideas there are, understand that I look forward to using it, please make it even better by listening to people's feedback

15. Viewer Bounties/Challenges

    It would be amazing if viewers had the ability to provide challenges to streamers. In example, a viewer has 10k Bitties and starts a bounty with a starting amount say 100 bitties saying "If you win this Valorant round only knifing, you'll get 6k more". The streamer has like 10 minutes to accept the proposal during which the bitties are on hold so they can't be used up.

    The streamer gets the option to either deny the challenge in which case they only get the 100 bitties used for the proposal or the accept it and try doing the challenge. If the streamer successfully completes the challenge they get the extra bitties, if not the bitties become available to the viewer again.

    Additionally, as the streamer is trying his luck on the challenge given, any viewer who wants to can add to the price pool of said challenge without having to pay the initial challenge fee of 100 bitties. This would not only incentivize chatters to spend money on bitties which adds more revenue for both streamers and twitch but also contributes exponentially to viewer interaction and fun content.

    A couple things I believe to be important would be for streamers to be able to ban people from creating challenges, decide the amount of the initial challenge fee as well as the ability to turn the entire feature on/off and for viewers to need a minimum amount of bitties for specific challenge amounts. In example, a viewer needs 10k bitties to post a 8k bitties challenge and so on.

    Lastly, an interesting addition would be to add stipulations like "for every marshmallow you can fit in your mouth you get 1000 bitties."

16. Bring back watch parties!

    Watch parties was a really fun idea. It allows users to connect with their audience and have fun, and in many cases allows for knowledgeable users to shine a light on underseen or underappreciated movies or shows in the Prime Video library (or any of the other content libraries that were available to Watch Party via third-party apps) while providing informational context and commentary.

17. Holiday Hoopla Event Emote Rewards

    I am writing to inquire about a pressing issue with your recent Holiday Hoopla event. Have the emote rewards for this event been properly distributed? Over the past week, I have participated in multiple shared chats and joined the same streamer's Holiday Hoopla activities on several occasions. I can guarantee that I have spent well over 20 hours in shared chats this week, participating more than 5 times. Yet, there seems to be a significant inconsistency in the reward distribution.

    Some friends, streamers, and fellow participants have received all the emotes, while others, including myself, have not. For instance, I received three "Lights" emotes but did not get the "CatintheChat" emote. Meanwhile, some others received two "Lights" emotes and "CatintheChat," or varying combinations. What exactly is happening here? Could you kindly clarify the actual criteria for receiving the rewards and publish a detailed explanation on your blog? It is utterly unreasonable for multiple users to have to fill out customer service forms only to receive vague or insufficient responses.

    We took this Holiday Hoopla event very seriously, yet the outcome has been confusing and disappointing. Why wasn’t this event designed as a drops-based system to begin with? Should we assume that Twitch has no intention of properly managing events like this? Not only is this Holiday Hoopla event problematic, but even the shared chat UI itself is poorly implemented. Has Twitch decided to outsource quality assurance to its users? How can such basic features be so flawed?

    I hope to receive a proper and detailed response, as well as clarification of the event’s rules. Thank you in advance for addressing this matter seriously.

    I am writing to inquire about a pressing issue with your recent Holiday Hoopla event. Have the emote rewards for this event been properly distributed? Over the past week, I have participated in multiple shared chats and joined the same streamer's Holiday Hoopla activities on several occasions. I can guarantee that I have spent well over 20 hours in shared chats this week, participating more than 5 times. Yet, there seems to be a significant inconsistency in the reward distribution.

18. Make it more possible for new streamers to grow.

    there already is a system that provides a list for the high viewed channels to show but everyone already knows those people with thousands of viewers and followers. Make a system where the little streamers are noticed I can stream for hours upon hours and never get a single viewer so makes it near impossible if not impossible to grow. It has gotten to the point it just feels hopeless after time passes.

19. More poll choice slots and longer running polls

    Pretty basic request, I think.

    I'm a mod for an art streamer and I was setting up a poll for which of his characters he should consider drawing later in the stream, and while I would have preferred to run a longer poll with all of the characters listed to choose from, I was met with a 5 option limit and a maximum time of 10 minutes. If possible, I would have liked to have (at least) 10 options (had 10 characters to list), and would have liked to run the poll for half an hour or longer.

    My proposal, if possible, would be to have some way to add additional option slots as necessary beyond the initial 5, and longer voting times (15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes, perhaps).

20. Give another user a chance to do the live stream from time to time.

    Find someone that can be dedicated to the casino stream I ll take on the challenge to battle the host. And I don't have a 9to 5. Lol I got time
