How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. YouTube lets you use the mouse wheel to change the player volume.

I'd like Twitch to duplicate this functionality.

Users should be able to hover over the player controls to show them then use the mouse wheel, when hovering over the volume slider to increase/decease volume

  2. Most modern browsers have a picture in picture mode that can be activated by right clicking on the video, or pressing a dedicated UI button. Twitch supports this natively, but only if you mess with the HTML in the Web inspector first. Please add a button for this, or let us do this by right clicking on a stream's video.

  3. Making highlights effortless.

-A streamer has an epic gamer moment.
-Lots of viewers clip that section during the stream.
-Twitch automatically creates a 30 second highlight of that section of the stream based on how many people clipped it.
-The streamer can set the threshold of clips to create a highlight (Eg:minimum 20 clips within 10 seconds to create a highlight) or disable it completely.
-highlight shows up on the streamer’s channel page.
-The streamer can go back and edit the highlight to be longer or shorter depending on what they want to show in the highlight. They can also…

  4. Disable AUTO on video player. Even if you choose 720p after sometime it switches back to auto and freezes the stream.

  5. It would be great if we were able to pause or jump back in time as it is done with YouTube lives

And also having the ability to change the speed when timeshifting

A use case for example would be watching a live from the start at 1.5x speed which gives the ability to catch up to the live stream instead of waiting for the full VOD to come out

  8. I would really love to be able to decide how loud the streamers voice and the streamers game is for me.
Normally Streamers have to decide how loud everything together is.
Iam not sure if this is possible, but i guess you can have different channels on one audio stream, why not make one for the game and one for voice.
Then it could be possible for the viewer to decide how loud he wants to hear these channels.
    Thank you :)

  9. I think the navigation of vods is pretty tedious. It would greatly benefit from a more user friendly interaction. The Android app has buttons to revert 10 seconds or skip 30 seconds. This is great, however these buttons aren't accessible enough due to being to small. As Fitts's UI design Law teaches us, the accessibility can be increased by increasing the size of the button. The way YouTube does it is splendid. The left half of the screen is used to navigate backwards and the right to navigate forwards. Then, by simply double tapping in the respective region the user…

  10. I think it would be amazing to have a snappy instant replay option whereby, with the touch of a button we could have a pop-up overlay which could be set to play back the last 5-15 seconds (or however much time deemed optimal by the community) of action with playback control.

Clips are a great feature and definitely have their place like when a streamer asks us to clip something or we just want to highlight and share something with chat, but they do take us away from live action by opening in a new tab.

    Most of the time…

  11. It would be awesome if there could be a "TV" mode where you can pick and setup a custom list of streams to pull up and it would auto cycle them based on either time or priority of who was live. Chat would auto switch to whatever channel that you're currently on and if someone went live that was as higher priority, it would automatically put them on.

Beyond that, it would be nice to have the list of channels that were live and be able to override the priority setting

  12. I'd like to do 3D videos using twin camera capture. There is a technically 3D compatible mode on most video editors, but unfortunately uses side-by-side-half mode, and though technically compatible, it's only as compatible as Red and Cyan mode, if you don't own the proper glasses, it's watchable, but it's ugly. More than a minute gives people a headache.

You tube has a 3D tag, which activates "playback conversion mode". It's natively stored as 3D side-by-side half, and can be converted to 2D and other 3D formats, so you can it in 3D in the way you currently have, and…

  14. Twitch need to contact Oculus to add Twitch streaming to Oculus Quest.

Oculus Quest is standalone vr headset which has great games like beat saber, rec room etc.

  15. It'd be nice if when you pause a stream, itd continue from where you paused instead of where it was live, like you can do on youtube livestreams.

  17. For example in Rocket League it would be nice if you the viewer could choose which player to watch.

The twitch broadcaster could still do their usual flicking between players but I'd like the option to stay focused on one player of my choice.

  18. Give us a checkbox for all kind of Videos (Uploaded, Highlights, etc.) that will make the Video just available for Subscribers. if it's unchecked, then it's available for all Viewers. This checkbox should be available in the video edit area.

  19. In OBS Studio and Streamlabs OBS, the streamer is able to Stream on certain Audio Tracks, and Record on certain Audio Tracks. As more and more integration with the OBS' and Twitch comes alive, this should be something that can be done. To simply put it, as a Streamer, I could put my Microphone on Audio Track 1, my Gameplay on Audio Track 2, my Music on Audio Track 3, my Voice Comms on Audio Track 4, and my OBS Alerts on Audio Track 5. Then, in the Twitch Video Player, give the Viewer the option to select which of…
