1. Fix Advertising Bugs

   I have consistently had buggy ads for over SIX months.
   The ads will roll very intrusively as usual in the middle of the best parts of streams and causing you not to hear or see the stream. Throw on top of those advertising some bugs and it becomes unbearable to even watch any stream.

   I’ve been experiencing bugs in the middle of ads, to where the ad will glitch out pause to a black screen, not allow me to play the stream for 30 secs or more. Once stream comes back after 5 secs it will throw me back into watching ads.

   Another thing that happens is when the ads finish and it’s trying to transition back to the stream it glitch’s out to a black screen and it’s 50/50 on weather it will go to another round of ads or back to the stream.
   I’ve also came into streams getting a single pre-roll then it glitch’s out after ad plays and turns it any where from 3-10 ads

   Overall the advertisements have not only been intrusive but they are causing major glitches within the app. The problem has only gotten worse with the new update I will refer to as the “TwitchTok Update” since it so closely resembles a for you page. Which has only caused a poor experience, with streams pausing any time you want to browse other streamers. You can not see your follow list easily or a thumbnail of what the stream looks like. You’ll be watch say Kai’s stream and randomly with the “TwitchTok” update it will glitch me into other streams, causing you to have to go back to the stream you were watching and getting another pre-roll.

   Please take my words into consideration and improve the ad glitching, revert TwitchTok and fix the additional bugs that have come with this poor update.

3. Overlay Ads

   Live programing is different than pre-recorded. Therefor, the ads used should be different.

   Overlay ads, like what used to appear on TV, would make sense. Either shrinking stream (like Twitch did for a brief period), or having a dedicated portion of the screen they would overlap (so streamer could plan accordingly). But visual only ads, no audio. The benefit is that viewers are more likely to actually watch the ad too, instead of switching to another activity, as the content they're involved in is still going on. Even if their attention is more on the stream content, at least they will see the ad. Better than muting and seeing nothing that many people do now. Plus, far more importantly, the content is continuous, and thus of quality.

   When Ads happen for pre-recorded, they are a time inconvenience to the audience. But nothing further. You pick up where you left off.

   When Ads happen for live content, they interrupt the broadcast, and make the user miss content. Some streamers will put their stream on pause, but then that's just basically penalizing paid subscribers.

4. Unrelated Drops (Ads)

   Twitch Drops being used as ads is disgusting.

   When it's a promo related to a game, that's one thing. But what is this Apple TV/Music? These streamers aren't using Apple TV/Music. I'm 100% certain if they were streaming THE VERY CONTENT OF THE DROPS, that they're be muted or DMCA struck. And EVEN WORSE IS OPT OUT!!!!! Why is this on by default? Every other drop you have to turn on. This is the most disgusting Ad thing Twitch has ever done. Not leaving such streams open. And it's REALLY not the streamers fault.

5. Your new Apple TV+ ad needs to be stopped

   When someone joins a channel, they get this Apple TV ad above the CHAT; they can "DISMISS" and "Don't Show Again". However, if they join a different channel, the SAME ad appears again.

   Every single channels a user follows has to DISMISS and DON'T SHOW AGAIN on this ad.

   Please make it STOP. We know you barely make any revenues but it makes the Twitch experience even less enjoyable.

6. Werbung abändern

   Die momentane Werbung, die seitlich vom Stream eingeblendet wird und dadurch Streamfenster verkleinert und danach wieder vergrößert, macht einen kopftechnisch nach gewisser Zeit kirri. Möchte nicht wissen, wie stark andere das negativ wahrnehmen.

   Bitte macht die Ads meinetwegen, wie teils schon, unterhalb vom Stream wo eigentlich Titel etc. steht, hauptsache nichts am Streambild wird skaliert. Da könnte man auch die Werbespots für andere Dinge machen, wen es interessiert wird schon drauf klicken.

7. adds too long it s ruinning twitch

   hey twitch , i understand you re a compagny and you try to make money although it s been multiple time now that i have 3min adds on some stream , can you realize what 3min is in a direct diffusion ? how much stuff i miss ? how left out from eveything i feel during those awfully long minutes ?? 30 secondes before seemed long but 3 *****

8. Add a way to skip ads with bits

   If a streamer runs ads at a bad time, add a way for viewers to skip ads at the cost of 1 bit per advertisement. This would help viewers not have to sub if they can't afford a sub but also be able to not miss any content if they wanted to see that part of a stream

10. Unendlich viele Werbeblöcke

    Ist es wirklich euer Ernst 8-10, mindestens 20 sekündliche, non skipable Werbeanzeigen vor jedem Stream abzuspielen. Das sind weit über 2 Minuten Werbung am Stück. Da wundert ihr euch noch das sich jeder zweite einen Adblocker holt. Ihr wart doch früher nicht so gierig. Quetscht wirklich den Zuschauer bis zum letzten aus. Macht so weiter und eure Zahlen gehen noch weiter in den Keller.

11. Give Creators More Options for Ad Frequency

    The games I play and my content style does not lend itself well to ads every hour. And, to be frank, 3 minutes isn't a long enough time for me to actually have a proper break and get the things I need to get done done during my breaks.

    I would greatly appreciate being able to run longer ad breaks less frequently to better work within the shape of my content.

    Specifically, I think the addition of options for 4.5 minutes of ads every hour and a half and 6 minutes every 2 hours would be very helpful so that creators whose stream shapes don't work within a structure of 'ads every 30' or 'ads every 60' can still utilize the ad manager without feeling like they have to tailor their broadcast around their ads which is an awful feeling as a creator.

12. Os ADs estão constantemente travando no último segundo

    Recentemente todas as exibições de anúncio que venho recebido durante as transmissões estão congelando no último segundo do vídeo, não retornando a Livestream em nenhum momento. Acabo tendo que fechar o app e abrir novamente, ou seja, recebendo novos ADs como se o algoritmo não tivesse computado a visualização dos anúncios e multiplicando o número em seguida.

14. Get rid of prerolls entirely!

    Get rid of preroll advertisements as a whole. They absolutely destroy channel discovery for new/low viewer streamers and if you're the type of person that has a buggy internet connection, sometimes you get disconnected for just enough time for Twitch to interpret your reconnection as you rejoining for the first time again and hits you with even more advertisements you possibly saw not even four minutes ago.

    For real, prerolls do nothing for the viewer, the people that ALLOW TWITCH TO EXIST AS A WEBSITE IN THE FIRST PLACE. I'm not even saying get rid of ads in their entirety, just prerolls. They're nothing but a nuisance for everyone involved.

    COUNTERMEASURE for trying to bypass ads is for ads that play joining stream or refreshing the stream will be chained/multiple ads so that audiences are more inclined to sit through the 1 ad or less ads than joining.
    REASON the reason for wanting this feature would mostly be for when there are moments in the stream which are impactful and entertaining and the moments for when you need to watch what's going on suddenly you miss out on because of a badly timed ad.

    ALSO would be nice if the ad was able to be opened in another tab if possible but highly unlikely to come true.

16. be able to rewind after ad or pause stream during ad!

    I am really sick of how twitch doesn't care about it's viewers. Every time i visit a channel and watch a streamer for a while then post a question in chat, every single time a 3 minute ad then immediately begins. there is no way to go back in time to see if streamer answers the question. the really disrespectful situation that often occurs is when you donate bits with a message or donate to the streamer and a 3 minute ad starts. on youtube we can scroll back on a live stream to catch what we miss and we can even set it to 2x speed to catch back up to live stream or just skip back ahead once we caught the thing we missed.

    Twitch is literally worst then even cable TV. Back when i used to watch cable tv i was so sick of seeing same ads play over and over again with no way to skip or fast forward, however you at least didn't miss your show, the show paused when ad plays and resumes after ad, not Twitch! Twitch forces you to miss 3 minutes of content, not only that but potentially interactable content with you that you now missed. And with a 3 minute ad playing every 10-15 minutes on most streams, it's unwatchable!!

    Why does youtube have option to go back in time but not twitch? I know some streamers have option of seeing VOD while stream is still going, but most streamers turn this off, likely due to the incredibly strict copyright issues with Twitch now and they don't want to have their channel taken down because they walked past a store playing music on the street, so this isn't even an option anymore.

    Turbo is simply too costly, i refuse to pay same amount as a netflix or youtube or amazon subscription for something that does nothing but let us not see ads, and it's not even guaranteed, you can still get ads, and not only that it makes you feel guilty going on a stream with turbo interacting with a streamer knowing streamer can see you are spending money to twitch but not subbing to them too, so it makes you feel like your not contributing to the streamer, but i can't keep paying $5 a month to every content creator i follow, that ends up hundreds a month, it's absolutely absurd and far more costly then any other platform, even more costly then cable tv, and twitch takes half of all money earned!!!

    I understand ads are required to maintain the platform, i totally get that, if you don't want to sub to each individual creator you follow or pay for turbo, you will have ads, that's not what I am complaining about here, I am complaining due to no ability to pause the stream and resume after the ad, no option to go back in time to see what you missed, that's my problem here.

    I always go to youtube over twitch even if I am subbed on twitch! Because youtube is so much more convenient in way i can pause, rewind, etc.

    So tell me Twitch, are you proud your worst then cable television when it comes to inconveniencing your customers? Why should we watch content on twitch if we completely miss huge 3 minute chunks of content with no way to go back?

18. Spanish ads in Poland. Improve ads targeting

    There is huge issue with Twitch targeting ads. In Poland there is massive amount of Spanish ads. Issue exists for couple of months. Please improve ads targeting and stop displaying worthless ads that no-one understand in Poland

19. Tone down the greedy/scummy practices

    How about not being so scummy about ads... if I want to not watch a channel the ads will pause... imagine if cable used to do this. I barely use twitch as much as I used to solely because of this.

20. Reduce the Number and Length of Ads

    If I see the number of Ads be 4 or more in a row on any stream, REGARDLESS of how long they are, I am closing the app.

    If I am waiting more than 3-5 mins for ads to complete, I will also close the app.

    I know Twitch needs its money to run and be profitable, but several ads running 10+ minutes is not it. People will not sit through it. They will just leave.

    Find a way to balance the number of ads and time spent watching them, so people will engage the site for longer. Break up ads more. If Ads are ran, wait for 20 to 30 mins before running them again. You want people to stay on the site right?

    Our time is valuable, and we can find other sites to watch what we want. If you want viewers on Twitch, the ad amount and durations need to be reduced site wide. More people on the site should bring Twitch more engagement and money.

    If I see the number of Ads be 4 or more in a row on any stream, REGARDLESS of how long they are, I am closing the app.

    If I am waiting more than 3-5 mins for ads to complete, I will also close the app.

    I know Twitch needs its money to run and be profitable, but several ads running 10+ minutes is not it. People will not sit through it. They will just leave.
