1. Ads at the start of a raid

   It's such a huge middle finger to creators to hit raiders with ads right in the beginning of a raid. I thought twitch had disabled prerolls for raids, but it's been happening with every raid recently. Feels really bad.

2. Too quick to run ads

   Ads run too quickly. When I'm looking for a good stream to watch, I'll click on a stream, 1 second plays & then an ad pops up. I have to watch a couple ads before I even know if I want to stay on that stream or not. Can we at least have 1 minute? I know in less than a minute if I'm going to keep searching for a good stream to watch, but having to watch ads within a couple seconds makes me just turn the whole thing off. Can you give us 60 seconds into a stream before hitting us with an ad please?

3. Please let me not get horror/scary ads

   I literally can't watch Twitch anymore because all the ads I get are for this horror movie. There's this girl that's creepily smiling at the camera...and I don't know the rest bc I just close the tab and watch YT after. I don't mind the ads but please allow users to choose if they want ads for something scary/horror related

4. Enable streamers to put charities in place of some ads.

   A feature to generate ads that can support charity across ads to support their desired cause.

   Potential: This may serve to bring in more ads with more purpose. This may serve as a write off for twitch and the streamer as well but that'd be a bit complicated since I am not a CPA🐧

5. Recommending Everyone on TWITCH!

   The website pops up by making sure to recommend small creators and big ones equally impacting everyone.

   SO this means the first row and on will have recommendations of any kind ensuring everyone is recommended.
   
   10k+ viewers - 1k-9999 viewers - 100-999 viewers - 50-99 viewers - 0-49 viewers

   Do this for everyone in every category and watch twitch flourish with new creators everywhere! Hope this helps!

   Stop promoting (irrelevant) political entities as 'recommended channels'

   Why on earth would twitch promote the orange man's channel? Not only am I not American, I find his presence on a supposedly inclusive platform to be deeply contradictory.

   No matter how much that party is bunging amazon, they should not be appearing on any list that I have to see. If anything, it's proof that your algorithm needs a lot of improving if my watch history makes it think that orange man is a relevant lead.

   Fewer people are tolerant of ads, so if twitch wants to survive, it really needs to up its game. Even with all the limited opting out that a user can do here, twitch is still collecting enough data to not let things like this happen by accident.

   And if it's not an accident, shame on you.

7. Please stop showing me Commercials about Horror Movies. They are so disturbing and have to close the Tab immediatly when it is showed.!

9. No child-targeted ads.

   Why am I seeing so many ads for children's toys on what is supposed to be a 13+ site as per TOS? These past few weeks I have seen about a dozen ads for a toy called "hex bots", a few for barbie, and one for a batman action figure, all in the style of ads one would expect to see on Saturday morning cartoons. These do not seem to me like products that are predominantly aimed at children older than 13. Most streams I watch, including streams these ads have appeared on, are restricted to 18+ audiences. It is deeply concerning to see ads like these on the platform at all, but especially on these types of streams.

10. Zapping

    I hate ads. When I check out a new channel and am greeted by ads, I close twitch 90% of the time. How about something like a "Zapping" feature?

    How it would look like:
    - You go to the Zapping feature and choose a category/filters and/or starting channel
    - You get 30s of uninterrupted content
    - Either zap to the next channel (of the category/filters) within the 30s and get 30s of the next channel as well or
    - After 30s you are moved to the channel you were watching and the ad settings of that channel apply, either preroll or mid-stream ads after some time... or roll some ads if you want, whatever...

    Maybe this is better for discoverability? If I don't know if I like a channel, why would I bother with the preroll?

11. Export VODs on mobile

    As someone with a disability who has an easier time using my phone than a PC, it would be so beneficial if I could export my VODs on the mobile app instead of having to log in on a computer and struggle with the mouse and keyboard.

12. Stop using Ads altogether...

    You do realize that there are other ways to generate revenue from ad placement, versus your constant barrage of advert during livestreams? Of course you do... but those options don't have the same impact as the metrics derrived from CCV or PPC. Right? Wrong... There are a host of other options that could be used to allow viewers a recurring experience, versus a stagnated one, by implementing other techniques.

    I'm not going to suggest anything here becasue honestly, Twitch is on my ****-list for companies that are on auto-pilot and reeling from previous controversy. A company scraping by and holding itself together with duct-tape and dreams.

    Refute this as you may, your attrition rates have skyrocketed since your most recent layoffs and the quality of your product has diminished. I've even gone insofar as to apply to your organization and assist in recouping demographics of people that you've consistently marginalized as well, but hey... This is just about Ads right?

    The same Ads you claim you need to survive, increase visibility, or pander. The same ads you push on youth to make impulse buys or shill for companies that would have ditched you during your first SA allegation several years ago.

    You could do better, but you choose not to. Your upper echelons choose not to. Just another complacent company scratching thier head and oblivious to how to improve.

    Carry on.

13. Ads and VPN Request

    Fix the Ads servers and APPS so that viewers can't just pop on a VPN or leave on the app for a long enough period of time and have ADS just stop. Many times Ads stop playing and only come back when you sign out and back in. I have heard this from Firestick and Kindle users.

    Why is there always an Ad when I visit a channel?
    How do I discover new channels if I always have to watch an 1+minute ad?
    Why not after 5minutes of watching the channel?
    Like this I and probably a lot of other people stopped trying to discover new channels.

15. Less Intrusive Ads + Better Ads (Based on Objective Public and/or Stream)

    Today i came to see some streamers i'm not subbed yet, i enter the stream and in that same second an ad shows up.
    I change stream, ad shows up.
    I go back to the first one, the same ad a third time, i close twitch.
    Great way to make more and more people get less time in the platform, totally a "smart" idea by part of the owners.
    Definitively this gonna help a lot to make people stay in the platform, what about, i don't know...
    Make people watch AT LEAST A COUPLE MINUTES before dropping an ad?
    Because if the first thing i see when i get in is an unskippable and unavoidable ad, the next time i shall just wait until the stream gets a reupload in youtube, where i can use adblock and just see what i want.
    The problem aren't ads by itself, is the ABUSE of the ads, Twitch was different, now is just YouTube 2, but worse.
    Also, the worst ads ever, bro, if you know because you have my data and YOU can see what people likes, why show any random ad? Why not videogame ads or ads related to what i'm seeing? I still thank the day Twitch gave me an ad about the new World of Warcraft expansion, even if i shall now pucharse it cuz is expensive i would see those ads all the time, as are REVELANT ads about things i'm interested and MAYBE i would click on it.
    But they collect all our personal data and later they're so dumb to just sell it and don't analize it to get better ads, or at least wait few minutes of stream to make sure i'm gonna stay... Idk even what those streamers was playing or if i want to stay or not, i just wanted to take a peek and decide what to see, if i can't i shall just wait until it gets released on YouTube.

    Twitch has done its best to fight “adblockers” but what if they made one of their own? What if when you subscribed to a channel for 12 months, you earned an adblocker token. This token would be redeemable for an amount of hours of ad free streaming. I have streams where I have been a subscriber for 3 plus years, but I can’t always justify buying a subscription. If every six months or 12 months I get real rewards for keeping a subscription going, and I don’t get entirely punished for taking months off, I’d feel more comfortable with my purchase. Treat users of your app better by running ads that do not interfere with viewing experience.     we get it... mcdonalds still sells fast food and door dash still delivers. make a contribution to society by reducing the amount of mental terrorism we have to endure. advertising is shameless and gross especially as frequently as it occurs on twitch
