1. Government safety ads

   I am from NZ, a small country, majority of the ad's I seem to get on here are government safety ads. These are covered in disgusting bloody bodies, that I am forced to watch like 20x a day.
   I don't like this. Can we have some control on the level of disgust in the ads that I am forced to watch?
   These ads were designed for TV, to be played after 8:30pm, only once per ad break. That is not happening on this platform. I want them removed or something, because this is getting disgusting. It too often.

2. Place ads above chat

   I don’t mind playing ads on my channel. I believe you would have 80% less complaints from people if you switch placement for ads. Put the Ad in upper-hand corner (above chat) or let the Streamer choose some Option in the dashboard (DISPLAY ONLY ADS, OR BOTH)

3. In the ad error reporting options, give us "I am subscribed and should not be seeing these"

   I am being shown ads to a channel I am subscribed to and have been instructed to report the ads that are shown as "playing too often".

   How about giving us an actual choice for the actual problem, it would be so easy: "I am subscribed or have ad-free and am being shown ads".

   That way you guys have actual useful information to fix problems with.

4. Banning Streamers who discriminate against Viewers

   Twitch needs to either get rid of the IP Ban and the thing were banned users cant watch a streamers stream, OR punish the Streamer who discriminates against their viewers. I'm sick of twitch not doing anything about a streamer that banned me for being autistic. It was a blatant act of discrimination! I just want to be apart of this one streamers community but she banned me for my autism and depression then mocked me and continued to talk bad about me after I was banned and Twitch has literally done nothing, this has been going on for 6 months already!

6. Rework the Ad Incentive Program

   Currently, the Ad Incentive Program presents you three offers every month. It's on a take it or leave it basis. I find there is a big issue with this though. The amount of money you are offered is fine. The amount of hours you are required to stream for a month is fine. The thing that doesn't make sense is the amount of minutes of ads per hour you are required to run.

   I have received offers in two months now where the lowest ads per hour requirement was 4 minutes, and I have even seen some people with their lowest being 7 minutes. This creates two problems. Some people may be willing to run ads, but they aren't willing to run THAT MANY ads. It seems counterintuitive to require them to run too many ads per hour, such that they just decide to decline it and run no ads that month.

   The second issue is the longest time an ad break can be ran for is 3 minutes. It works really well to just take a break from the stream once per hour while the ads are playing, so that no one misses any of the content from the stream. When the minimum ad incentive offer is over 3 minutes of ads per hour, it is impossible to just take a single ad break per hour. For example, with 4 minutes per hour, I am required to take two 2 minute ad breaks every hour. It just doesn't feel right to take a break from the stream every half hour, so I end up having ads playing while I am presenting content.

   I think a better way for this program to work is as follows. When you receive your Ad Incentive Program offer, it will give you the hours required to stream that month, along with a price per (minute per hour) of ads. Then you can choose how many minutes of ads per hour you wish to run that month. For example, it may say stream for 100 hours at a rate of $100 per (minute per hour) of ads. So I can choose to run 3 minutes of ads per hour to earn $300 in that month, or only run 1 minute of ads per hour to earn $100 that month. Or I could even choose to run 10 minutes of ads per hour to earn $1000 that month.

   I do think the Ad Incentive Program has been helpful for earning more revenue as a streamer, but it's still not ideal. This change would at least give a bit more control to creators as to how they run their stream.

7. Ads should display link pointer

   When hovering over an ad on a stream, clicking the ad will take you to the advertiser's website. However, the mouse pointer displays as normal, and does not show the "link" pointer (a hand with a finger extended) as it ought to. This behavior would comply with W3C guidelines.

8. Give streamers the ability to edit/control aspects of Stream Display Ads

   When comes to this idea, I do love Stream Display ads BUT there are some things I feel are really needed to improve this.
   I know it's in testing but I feel we should have some more control over them compared to current testing.

   Some small things that could work by giving streamers more control, and a basic idea of what I mean that could really improve Stream Display Ads;

   1) Make an option so that the only ads that show up on your stream are Stream Display Ads. (people can pick between the two systems?) Ads that don't disrupt the whole stream itself are major and seriously wanted by many
   You could go further and add these Stream Display Ads to vods! I know many who watch my own past vods of streams due to timezone differences. This could help with revenue but add on to the idea of these ads being the a great addition to the idea of Stream Display Ads to be a replacement of the old system.
   2) Give the streamer the ability to pick how frequently these Stream Display Ads show up on their streams. Much like how we can with the normal pre-rolls/mid-rolls and such.
   3) Give the streamer the ability to also add in their own ads for when they are doing sponsored streams. This could be massive for streamers who get sponsors. A way that can be on your guidelines but still be a way for the streamer to have their unique way to show off sponsors

11. Make ALL ads count for creators revenue split!!!

    Any ad ran, either manually or through the Ad Manager should count towards the creators 3 minutes per hour of required ad time in order to earn the 55% split. After reading the following text in the Ad Manager support page, it became clear that manually running ads while I am taking a quick break to stretch or grab a drink, those ads are actually hurting my overall revenue split.

    Can Affiliates earn 55% ad revenue splits by running ads manually, or via a third party tool?
    No. Only ads run via Ads Manager (at 3 minutes or more per hour) qualify for the 55% ad revenue split.

12. Allow a longer period of preroll-free viewing when using the ads manager, while maintaining ad density

    The existence of a hard cap on preroll free viewing time at 30 minutes is extremely restrictive, and difficult to integrate with various forms of streamed content. Being forced to take an ad break every 30 minutes causes disruption to content flow, and is detrimental to viewer experience.

    There is no difference in ad density between 3m/h and 1.5m/ .5h. The pinning of pre-roll free viewing to a 30 minute cap feels very arbitrary and creates an artificial barrier to fluid integration of ad breaks for creators streaming longer form content.

13. Option to disable pre-rolls for a full hour

    Currently, in the Ad Manager, you can set ad breaks to be up to 3 minutes, but 90 seconds is the maximum amount to disable pre-rolls (30 minutes). Why not allow to disable pre-rolls for the full hour if you set the Ad Manager to 3 minutes? Running an ad every 30 minutes is way too disruptive. I am incapable of taking breaks when I speedrun for a full 100 minutes, it it impossible for me to adjust the three disruptions that would occur so that no one misses an important fight or trick. If it was ONE break of 3 minutes, that would be doable and I would totally be on board with running a higher ad density so I could disable pre-rolls completely.

    You already have all the settings in the Ad Manager, there's almost no work to do here, and it's the exact same ad density than with 90 second ad break every 30 minutes so you lose nothing, if anything you win because I, and probably other streamers that can't bend to taking a break every 30 minutes, will actually put that many ads on the channel instead of not doing that.

14. Streamers/Creators should be able to opt-out of military recruitment ads

    Streamers should have the ability to opt-out of certain ads, particularly military recruitment ads. Some creators may have a younger audience. The streamer should reserve the right to protect that audience. The military ad complex is already vast and has deep roots within Twitch. If a streamer does not want that sort of content on their channel, they should be able to block it. Additionally, this option should be able to be seen publicly. Parents who check their children’s activity might want to be able to know a streamer opts out of Military recruitment ads targeted at minors.

15. Watch ad-free with bits

    I don't Twitch a lot, maybe once a week on a weekend when I want to relax, and when I do, the last thing I want is to be bombarded by advertisements. Currently the only options for an ad-free experience is to commit and subscribe, either to the channel you're watching, with Turbo, or with Twitch Prime. If you're not using Twitch that much it's a big waste of money, and it seems like the whole business idea is to make people forget where their money is going.

    My consumption of Twitch is similar to watching a movie. I want to pay for the movie, not for an entire library of movies I don't care about at that particular moment, and I certainly don't want to commit to a subscription. I'm thinking a solution to this could be like a taximeter kinda thing that would be integrated with Bits, where you tick a box that lets you watch ad-free while gradually taking away Bits every minute. Once you run out of bits or uncheck the box, the ads would start running again.

    Remove ADs on Twitch Prime subscribers. This was already part of the subscription deal and revoking that and demanding a second subscription is ludicrous, completely turned off of this platform now and will be going to YouTube where guess what? I can pay one subscription and get no ADs.

    Amazing how ad-centric the site now is. I end up just closing the window or opening a new streaming service when I feel they become overwhelming. Add more picture in picture options.
