1. Merge IL-2: GB and IL-2: BoS

   Please merge https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/il-2-sturmovik-great-battles and https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/il-2-sturmovik-battle-of-stalingrad

   They are listed seperately because IL-2:BoS renamed to IL-2:GB after they released the Battle of Moscow and Kuban packages. Battle of Bodenplatte is the most recent major module.

   Due to steam store limitations if you're a steam-only user BoS is required to experience GB, but you don't need BoS to experience GB if you signed up directly without a steam account.

   In short:

   IL-2:Great Battles is the game title.
   Battle of Stalingrad is just the first released module of Great Battles.

2. Final Fantasy TCG Category (FF TCG / FFTCG)

   The FF TCG has been going since 2011 (and was rebooted in 2016, thriving ever since).

   Currently when real life events are streamed, there's no category for this to be streamed under. The closest thing is for the Final Fantasy Digital Card Game, which was something entirely different for Yahoo customers that closed down in 2020.

   Other TCGs have categories to use for real life events or event for players to stream their webcam practice or online simulator games. For example there's the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game" category alongside all it's actual games that Konami use for events and stores can use when they're hosting events too, as well as online non-video game practice as well. This also exists for Magic: The Gathering and the Pokemon Trading Card Game.

   Final Fantasy is a huge franchise and the TCG is developed enough internationally that it deserves a dedicated Twitch Category to help it continue to grow online and in real life.

3. Good User Recommendations for streams, Live

   Great idea for twitch:

   First idea, There should be a “what do yall recommend?” Feature on twitch that allows you to see what other people in a channel recommend watching, like “what are your favorite streams for this kind of mood?” Like chill mood, I watch cobalt streak. Hypey/bored I watch tyler 1.

   2nd idea, Something where you see what everyone’s watching, where there’s more insight than “this person has a ton of viewers so something must be happening”. I want user reviews, hot moments (like someone is doing something hypey or significant and it’s the perfect time to tune in to it.)

   Some kind of halfway point between “streamer saying what they’re up to” and “chat realizing that this is a cool stream to watch”. Like a real time “user review” where the viewers let other viewers know “come watch this it’s sick”. Like “Axel larsen is on a WR pace run, check this out!” Or “Ok this is literally a hilarious segment on the Northernlion live Stream”

4. Add the Multi Game Event category.

   This was discarded for being a rename of HPG, which was not allowed into IGDB.

   The submitted footage and screenshots were identical, and numerous "red flags" were found in each. IGDB will not be accepting this game.

   HPG development was canceled, and instead they took only the assemblies and completely redesigned the game, leaving only the concept. It's like the game https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiberium then https://www.igdb.com/games/command-conquer-4-tiberian-twilight was released instead. Very similar situation.

   As you previously recommended IGDB to me, I have contacted Twitch and am leaving a UserVoice request asking for a manual review of my application, as the game comes out tomorrow and there will be streaming on the streaming channels.

5. Game Groups or Category Collections for Browse+filter, and Search

   I suggest generating higher level "Category collections" or Searchable series names for related games in the directory to allow sub-searching and filtering for streams across multiple closely-related games.

   I suggest adding an additional tab to the Browse directory page right by "Categories, Live Channels," and title that something like Collections or Series to allow browsing for streams that are categorized within a collection of games in the same franchise and allow filtering that view of streams by any tags.

   These "Game series" or "Category collections" would be more specific than looking for a category by 'Category Tags,' but this allow easily browsing for all streams in multiple games of the same series within a single browse action by the viewer.

   For example: have a general "Pokemon" category group available to click on when browsing Stream category collections to start browsing for all streams playing ANY of the large number of Pokemon games, and allow filtering by other tags from that view: instead of having to choose between picking the name of one Pokemon game to click on (or being stuck filtering from all categories). Another example would be a "Zelda" category group to browse for all streams playing any Zelda game; "Mario" for all Mario games, and so on.

   This would be helpful to avoid hiding streams from the directory in Low-traffic categories that are related titles from a larger popular franchise from discovery that penalizes high-viewership streams for trying out less-often played entries in the series (For example, Zelda: A Link between worlds usually has 0 streams, so it is unlikely many people will browse that specific category.).

   There are many different Zelda/Pokemon games, and the current Directory search and browse tool is frustrating if looking for streams across All Pokemon games specifically filtered down by tags of choice, because the Directory pages on Twitch currently have no option to search, filter, and browse for multiple games of Specific categories at the same time to capture all related games in the same search results.

   I would propose that "Category Group or Game Series" be an added optional free-form text the streamer could enter like tags (and it is in theory possible some games would be related to two series and not just one).

   But if the Game series is one of the most popular and known to Twitch based on enough streamers entering the same Series name in connection with a category - it could be automatically set to the series name when playing a game in known series, so Twitch could suggest a game collection name for some games, but hold off on placing the actual game Series as a searchable element in the directory until a sufficient number of streams with a sufficient number of viewers are active in that series.

6. Filter Front Page Auto-play When User Sets Category to Do-Not-Recommend

   With the release of new games, right now especially Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, I can imagine many people like myself are wanting to avoid spoilers of the gameplay or game content. But even if we set those categories to be not-recommended, various channels playing those games will still appear on the front page and automatically start playing, which has the potential to reveal critically spoiling moments in the game before the user can stop the video or navigate away. It is absolutely necessary as a service for Twitch to filter out those front-page auto-play results when their categories are intentionally blocked by the user.

   The number of viewers will increase.
   But, chat section is quiet because they did not click to visit the stream.
   Isn't this the same as buying a viewer bot?
   I think this specification should be improved.

   This specification can be used at public events to give the illusion of a larger audience.
   In reality, only 10% have arrived.
   Accurate analysis will be lost.

9. "favorite" channels pinned to the top on following page

   I think it would be awesome if we could have "favorite" streamers / channels of all our followed channels that get pinned to the top. This way we can have all our most watched followed channels at the top for easier browsing. Some of us follow many channels and we don't want to unfollow them, but we want the channels we watch most to be at the top.

10. New Payout Structure

    If we create a tier-system for payouts, it may incentivize more people to really go for higher levels of streaming content and content creation.

    For example, currently Affiliates and Partners not in the Partner Plus Program get a 55/45 split. What if when someone hits Affiliate they receive the 55/45 split, but when they reach partner it jumps up to the 70/30 split. After that, if a streamer achieves Partner Plus it goes to either 80/20 or 85/15. If someone becomes a Twitch Ambassador then they should receive a 90/10 or 95/5 split because they have reached the top of the metaphorical streaming pyramid. By creating a payout tier system, we can see that the people who have worked hard to hit these milestones are being compensated for their hard work at an equivalent level varying on the level of prestige.

    This system creates an increase in payout, but it also increases the ambition to get to the next level. Always pushing to get to the next level will then generate new content ideas, have more people streaming on Twitch, and purchasing more subscriptions in order to help their favorite streamers reach the next phase and the next goal.

11. Educational

    Can someone please add this category. Perhaps there isn't a huge demand for educational content but if someone wanted to stream something educational, there's really no category for it. I think having a category like "Educational" is enough to house everyone that has a passion to teach something. Right now, all we have is a tag "educational", which is useful but not a housing feature. I think I remember reading a lot of people upvoting for this category and it resolving into a tag, which seems kind of strange. What if you're trying to stream a math lesson? Sure, I can tag my stream as "educational" but the closest category that I feel I could choose for my stream would be Science and Technology and that seems a little awkward. I really hope that you'd consider this. Thank you.

15. Remove VOD from Continue Watching section on browser

    I would like to have an option to clear a VOD from the Continue Watching section in the browser rather than have to wait for it to expire. There have been several instances where I do not desire to continue viewing the content or I cannot view the VOD because it is locked behind a subscriber wall. If the streamer desires to lock the content that is fine but it would be nice to be able to clear those unwanted VOD links and use the space for streams that I actually want to finish watching.

16. What steps should Twitch take to resolve its search, bot, and growth issues, considering the impact on user experience?

    Twitch’s search system struggles to surface smaller channels, often requiring users to click "Show 5 more channels" even when searching by exact name. Typos can prevent channels from appearing altogether, complicating discoverability.

18. Add "Start After X Minutes" Channel Point Option

    I generally have a bunch of Channel Point redeems I would like to be active only after the 30m - 1h after I go live. Instead of having to pause all of these, and then unpause them, I would love to be able to just put a "starter timer" on them.

    For example :

    No art requests for the first 30 minutes of stream.

    No standing redeem for the first hour of stream.

    Why is the homepage carousel showing streamers I marked as "not interested"? Does that feature literally not interact with the carousel? Does "not interested" expire or something? I absolutely cannot figure it out.

    I would like a Cyber Security Category. There is a large community of CyberSec streamers and even more followers. Currently there are only 3 categories we can stream under:

    TryHackMe
    Hack The Box
    Science and Tech

    TryHackMe and HackTheBox are usually never used as although we do stream content from both websites we will often swap platforms or stream other platforms/things in between.

    Science and Tech is the closest category we have however CyberSec Streamers usually get lost among all the other streamers and it can be hard to differentiate between the CyberSec Streams and Programming Streams as they may appear to be the same but are very different in terms of content.
