  1. Horror is such a massive hyper specific genre that only really serves to its own viewer base - and the absolute chokehold indie horror has on the genre is significant - but there’s virtually no way of seeking this out on Twitch.

I would love to see the inclusion of a horror based category, not only for viewers to discovery indie horror games that are nearly impossible to search for, but also a home for anything spooky and horror specific.

This will also help curate horror into a section that those who are squeamish or triggered by horror can avoid.

  2. "songbattle.io" is a music-based tournament that is often played by streamers along with their communities and audience. These streamers have been asking us, the developers, for a category repeatedly, and do revert to "Just Chatting" most of the time.

We have proposed songbattle.io to IGDB, but were rejected due to them not considering it a game by their guidelines. Instead, they proposed we try here, referring to cases such as "Dungeon Alchemist", which is not a game per se, but still used by streamers and their audience.

    Thanks for considering!

  3. PokeMMO is the best Pokemon MMO game out there and deserves it's own category. This 12 year old MMO always has consistent viewers, and twitch partners have to stream under other categories like "Pokemon MMO 3D" making it confusing for viewers. It would be good to have a single spot for fans of the game. Stats: mmostats.com/game/pokemmo

  4. Hello,

It seems like the game category „Unreal Tournament“ was removed since it can't be found anymore. I am not sure if this was by accident or based on a conscious decision after the development of Unreal Tournament 4 was stopped by Epic last year.

However, the category „Unreal Tournament“ is still needed. It is in daily use by the Unreal Tournament community that is maintaining and still actively playing as well as streaming the original game from 1999 (usually referred to as “UT” or “UT99”). Besides that, Unreal Tournament 4 (“UT4”) is also still maintained by the community as…

  5. "Mini Painting" is a distinct and vibrant community on Twitch, but it does not have a logical 'Category' home on twitch. This community is currently divided amongst a handful of existing categories which are each misleading or overly general.

"Mini Painting" streams are easily recognized by an overhead shot of hands painting miniatures for RPGs, Board Games, Tabletop Wargames, or for display. These streams often have a secondary face-cam, and possibly even a third camera for a paint palette. They are a distinct type of content. Typically there are close to 1000 concurrent viewers watching content creators from the Mini…

  6. It's incredibly hard for some creators to get opportunities, especially when they're not based in the US.

Twitch ANZ had fantastic opportunities like Grass Roots, Māori, NAIDOC, Pride and Creative showcases and now they look to be no more-

Twitch ANZ seemingly has been abandoned due to the recent layoffs, and it's already so hard for OCE creators to get opportunities.

At this current time, we cannot apply for Twitch Guilds as they are US-based only. I would love for Twitch to try and include more countries or even have separate guilds for other areas of the world to reduce…

  7. Last year, you all implemented a "coworking" tag for WFH, study, and remote working streams.

All of us in the coworking community really appreciated the tag! It helped users and viewers find streamers to study alongside, especially in a time when everyone was working from home. Even now, a year and a half out from the tag introduction, many users are still working from home, looking for coworking streams to pass the time and find company in.

Unfortunately, the addition of custom tags—while innovative and helpful for many streamers generally—has presented a problem for the coworking community. It's no longer…

  8. There are a lot of scambaiters on Twitch and that list keeps growing. It would help scambaiters in getting exposure as well as assist members of the scambaiting community in finding new scambaiters to watch if there were a scambaiting category. This is something that would be quick and easy to implement.

  9. Create a specific category for coloring, because it's very different from Art Category, and a lot of people is already streaming coloring sessions.

  10. Hey there Twitch loving friendos,

Categories on Twitch are fantastic and one of the major things that helps to connect us with each other. I think we can all agree that categories often help us find a new stream or even pick between which streams we want to watch in that moment. I understand why we have to pick a category when streaming instead of streaming in many or none, but there are some categories that are really hard to connect with others in and others where it's great it exists for the niche audience looking for it but if…

  15. Hello,

We have been delighted by the launch of the Unity Guild Program a year and a half ago, and it has been an excellent means for underrepresented communities to have a voice in the Twitch Community.

We feel like the Non-Binary population is a natural addition to this roster, as there are a number of us who stream on twitch. Our identity makes us a target for harassment and hate raids from those browsing tags, and having larger community support from Twitch would be an amazing push to connect us with each other and help us provide a stronger…

  16. The Music category has got extremely stacked in the last couple of years. I'd like to suggest creating sub-categories for Music, or more specific Music categories like Music Production, DJ, Radio, Performance, etc...

With Music being a such a broad category at the moment I feel like it's a challenge for people to find the specific kind of Music content they want and it would also help music streamers who specialise in specific areas of the category find their audience a lot easier in what is currently a massively popular (but congested) category.

  18. Dear Twitch and twitch community!

I am writing to you to inform you about the problems users are experiencing when searching and viewing content related to Perfect World on your platform, as well as problems with the category itself and saving videos after live streaming.

It all started when in June 2024, the Perfect World section on Twitch incorrectly redirected to another project that has nothing to do with the original 2005 MMORPG.
All old recordings and streams now lead to https://www.igdb.com/games/perfect-world--1 instead of the correct link https://www.igdb.com/games/perfect-world. This means that streamers playing the original Perfect World game cannot…

  19. Currently two (or more) games with the exact same name (usually reboots) share the same category in Twitch. And all the cover art, description, tags are taken from only one of the games. This usually means that the other game(s) effectively completely lacks a page on twitch, despite being a completely different game and having unique gameplay. Can something be done about this?

  20. It would be nice if we could follow stream teams so there could be a link on the front page or a tab on the Following Page with "Teams You Follow" and we could click directly on a link for that team (for example the Twitch Black Guild or the Bussey Bunch or any other stream team that we want to follow) and see who is live directly instead of having to head to the specific teams page for that team manually to see who is live from that team.
