1. Channels marked "Not Interested" not syncing across devices

   What about programming your algorithm so it remembers what i want to see and don't regarldess of wich device i'm using?

   If I'm not interested in a channel, i filter it out, so why your page doesn't remember that i dont want to see said channel and it shows it again? if i switch between desktop, mobile and console it still shows those channels, which it shouldnt

   Hi,

   Do you have an example of a channel you have marked as not interested that shows up on a different device (also, which devices do the marked channels show and on which pages)? Thank you in advance for the additional context.

2. Remove VOD from Continue Watching section on browser

   I would like to have an option to clear a VOD from the Continue Watching section in the browser rather than have to wait for it to expire. There have been several instances where I do not desire to continue viewing the content or I cannot view the VOD because it is locked behind a subscriber wall. If the streamer desires to lock the content that is fine but it would be nice to be able to clear those unwanted VOD links and use the space for streams that I actually want to finish watching.

3. Make Boosts Better With Curated Recommendations

   Twitch has different 'boosting' features available to some streamers, such as channel point boost challenges or the new Boost Train. While great in theory for discoverability, completed boost recommendations right now seem to be sent to completely random users.

   This means that recommendations are not always seeking the audience that the streamer is hoping to reach, or is content viewers aren't looking for. For example, when checking my own Front Page for these boosted recommendations, I've mostly been recommended channels streaming in languages I do not speak, or in categories I've never engaged in as a viewer or streamer.

   This randomness also puts marginalised streamers at higher risk of harrassment as a result of financial support from their communities. For example, when my community completed a Level 4 Boost Train, the only new chatters in my stream were trolls targeting me for being a trans person. Hype Trains are designed to be a moment of joy, not a time where we have to worry more about being harrassed.

   Instead, Twitch should send recommendations from boosts out based on user data that Twitch already has (e.g. how they filter 'live channels we think you'll like' and other recommendations). Curating recommendations based on these aspects or other user data available make them more appropriate and meaningful for viewers and streamers alike.

4. DisabilityAwareness

   "DisabilityAwareness" should be a usable tag. It signifies the channel shows a particular importance for issues and topics regarding people with disabilities. As it stands, Twitch doesn't allow its use due to some automatic moderation. Why is DisabilityAwareness moderated out? Could this be fixed?

5. Add Arab American Heritage Front Page Features

   Every year twitch celebrates diversity on the platform with AAPI heritage month, Hispanic heritage month, Black history month, woman's history month, pride month, etc.

   I as well as other Arab streamers were really looking forward to celebration of Arabs or Muslims this year because Arab American heritage month lined up almost perfectly with Ramadan this year!

   I was really hoping to be able to discover other Arab streamers on the platform in April or have at least one of Muslim's only two holidays (Ramadan or Eid) or Arab's heritage month to be recognized and celebrated on Twitch's front page.

   I hope that we can continue to celebrate everyone's differences together by adding this feature to the platform!

6. Custom Tag suggestions need to be standardized

   The autofill is utterly useless because it shows pretty much every iteration that anyone has ever used. This means misspellings, multiple different versions of what should be one tag, anything you start to put in brings up way too many options.
   The tag suggestions need to be a smaller set so that people end up using the same tag as each other and are actually searchable once again. The large list of tags that we had is a great place to start, especially as we can still ignore the suggestions and type our own things.

7. General "Trading" Category for - Forex, Futures, Indices, Crypto, Stocks, Commodities

   I would like some Trading Categories to be added. There are already categories like Crypto and Stocks but those don't encompass all the things that can can be traded.

   Either you should add all the individuals like Forex, Indices, Futures, commodities etc, or there should be a singular category called "Trading". I am more in favor of just having "Trading" as a category because this could be used for all and would garner the most attention and diversification.

8. Make identity & accessibility tags permanent/toggleable. Don't count towards the 5 tag limit.

   Allow streamers to set their identity tags & accessibility tags (captions etc) and forget about them without them resetting after the time period.

   These can then not count towards the 5 tag limit which can be used to describe the content of the stream. Identity rarely changes, so allow them to be toggleable by the streamer. Most people who will use these tags will want to be able to show off their entire identity as well as their other content tags so this would be a great way to do that! It also allows streamers to show off their accessibility options without worrying that those tags will disappear.

10. New Category: Breaking

    I would love to see "Breaking" added as it's own category. It would have dual positivity as breakers wouldn't be limited to listing their streams in the most popular categories (usually IRL or Pokemon Trading Card Game, even when most stores carry a lot more than just Pokemon now), and the card game categories would become a more targeted/enjoyable experience for viewers looking to watch live matches of their favorite TCG.

    Twitch added a category for Hot Tubs & Pools because it took over the IRL category, this is basically the same situation on a smaller scale. :)

11. Create a LEGO or BrickBuilding category

    In the days of communities, BrickinNick and I pushed for Twitch to create a community for BrickBuilding. After some back and forth emails, we convinced Twitch that LEGO is a creative medium/form of expression and deserves to be recognized in the Creative category. Hooray!

    Currently, tags have replaced communities. Tags created some discoverability but they are misused and often used by streamers playing unrelated games. A dedicated LEGO or BrickBuilding category would help users find more streamers building with LEGO bricks and similar construction kits.

    LEGO is too broad of a hobby to lock into the makers and crafting category. From sets to people building their own creations, visiting conventions, designing their own parts, reviewing sets, and more!

    If the title "BrickBuilding" is chosen as a more suitable name for the category, as it is already known for LEGO building on Twitch, we hope it would still be discovered when searching the term "LEGO" as well!

12. "Just Chatting" Is NOT Enough!--Need Categories For Other Creative IRL Streamers (Actors, Voice Actors, Live Readers, Creative Writers, etc)

    We need more specific options that's not "Just Chatting." ---and tags for them don't always work.

    Since for many communities... especially for tiny ones, vtuber streamers, and/or female streamers owned ones.
    This category is EASY troll, bots, and cyber bully bait.---

    Had plenty of those in my channel due to being tiny community and "female owned."
    (Even if I'm not on camera and I don't have the tag saying "female" "woman" Etc. related--- Just because of my u/n and my voice)

    Also "Just Chatting" is way to vague... I get if you're talking about certain topics.

    (Shout out also to suggestion to "deleting followers" because of reasons like that. Since banning them doesn't do anything since they can still view your content.)

    But If you're doing something like acting, voice acting, or general live reading/reading aloud

    (reading script you're practicing, a news article, a story, a comic (whether or not it's your own).
    Not only is it more specific, but it might gain people who actually might want to watch the streamer.

    As a live reading and voice actor streamer... And from seeing others who had streams similar in mine.

    It's kinda awkward when getting shouted out when you're category is "just chatting."
    When a stream aren't "just chatting" about something (a certain topic). Streamers normally assume at first "oh hey so what were you chatting about?"
    And then when the answer isn't a "just chatting" norm. It's like "oh... So that's cool."
    Then usually it'll ends there...

    Unless you get the rare case where the streamer will ask what it was about.--Whether or not they see it after that depends.

    Unless it's a streamer that you may at times have raided often who knows what you do for "just chatting" streams.

    (which thankfully is a few on my end and some even have agreed with me (viewers included) that there should be a category for channels that aren't "just chatting.")

    Also I've seen some "Just Chatting" streamers when they raid get brushed off... So it's off putting.--I experienced this many times and seen it.

    I've even called out a streamer for not being respectful about it. But the streamer had timed out since I was being "rude" to them.

    Also tag don't work when it comes to when you raid someone either... Also sometimes when someone new comes into your channel.

    They may be confused on why your not "Just Chatting."--have had that happened on my channel many times.

    You have an IRL Creative category each for art, crafting, food, software, body art, and music streams...

    So why not ones specifically for acting/voice acting, live reading, and maybe even creative writing.
    They are all should have their own IRL Creative category(s) that should be taken into account.

    (Seriously I got excited to see there was a category for "voice over" to find out it was for an indie game. And not a category for voice actors/actresses/overs.
    Same with "writing" being steam game... not a category for writers... "Reading" is also a game apparently not an )

    Oh and PLEASE DON'T even think about conjoining all creative as one category.

    That'll be just looked at as lazy and not caring about each individual creative based streamers'.
    Same goes for deleting any of them and even "just chatting."

    I praise the Twitch streaming platform since I know you do hear us out. Not to mention it's a bit easier to become a paid streamer.
    Versus as not coming off as heartlessly corporate and not as competitive demand to be paid (i.e. YouTube).

    Please to the people behind making Twitch.
    You all should review the pros and cons of their categories.

    Since there's confusion, awkward, and/or disrespect (raiding or from being checked out by someone who finds you on whim). As well as safety in stream communities (bots, trolls, and cyber bullies) overall.--

    Especially when it comes to your only choice for a category as an actor (including voice overs/actors/actresses and/or live readers) is "Just Chatting."

13. /directory interfering with navigation

    When I search for a game, chat... a transmission is fixed, this transmission occupies half of the screen.
    I cannot visualize the other contents in a pleasant way.

    Where does it happen:

    Suggestion:
    Moving the stream up along with scrolling the screen.

15. Have a Space between mulit word custom tags

    Please give us the option to have a space in formatting for custom tags, so they don't all appear as one word. As someone who is visually impaired, this is very difficult to read when multi word tags are not spaced out.

17. Genres der Spiele teilweise grundlegend falsch

    Hallo,

    leider habe ich schon des Öfteren bemerkt, dass manche Kategorien für Spiele etc. grundlegend falsch sind.
    So ist z.B. die Schlagwort-Bezeichnung auf Twitch für eines meiner Lieblingsspiele "Space Engineers" als "EgoShooter, Shooter" eingestuft, was einfach nicht das Spiel richtig widerspiegelt.
    Das finde ich persönlich sehr schade, da es ein echt tolles Spiel ist und die Grenzen des Spiels eigentlich die eigene Vorstellungskraft ist.

    Die Suche nach einer neuen Kategorie wird negativ beeinflusst, da Worte wie Shooter einfach niemanden ansprechen, der etwas Komplexeres, Herausforderndes sucht. (Ich selbst z.B. mag gar keine Shooter und hätte das Spiel aus Prinzip nicht angeschaut, wenn es ein Shooter wäre)
    Dementsprechend ist das Interesse für solche Spiele auf Twitch dann halt bedauerlicherweise auch nur für diejenigen, die das Spiel kennen gegeben. Potenziell neue Spieler kann das Spiel durch diese falsche Kategorisierung von seitens Twitch nicht gewinnen.

    Hier die richtige Beschreibung vom Entwickler:

    "Space Engineers ist ein Sandbox-Spiel über Konstruktion, Erkundung und Überleben im Weltraum und auf Planeten.

    Hier ergänzend die angegebenen GENRE auf Steam:
    Aktion, Indie, Simulationen, Strategie

    Mit den von Steam gegebenen Genres ist das Spiel besser beschrieben und weckt daher größeres Interesse in dieser Sparte.

    Zudem vermute ich das ihr Algorithmus mir deshalb immer Shooter vorschlägt bei: "Kategorien, die dir gefallen könnten" weil ich der Kategorie Space Engineers "Folge"

    Das wäre somit ein Folgefehler durch die falschen Genres eines einzigen Titels, der die falsche Kategorie Shooter trägt. So muss ich bei unzähligen Spielen, die mir vorgeschlagen werden und "Shooter" sind, mühselig auf "Nicht interessiert" klicken.

    Ich hoffe das die Erklärung über das Problem hinreichend ist und würde mich über eine Besserung in diesem Bereich freuen :)

18. Astrology

    While there is an idea for divination, and existing tarot category, there is no "Astrology" category. Astrology is very different than tarot and other divination methods, and it should have its own separate category. There are many professional Astrologers who would stream Astrology-specific readings on twitch if there was a category.
