3. Keep Moments

   Moments is a feature that Twitch released as a Beta to a handful of creators. Whenever something cool happened in your stream, you could give out a "Moment" to those who were there to witness it. Twitch just announced they are discontinuing it as of October. I'm writing this to ask you to reconsider.

   The Moment was a clip that was created when you gave the command, and allowed for some minor editing. Anyone who claimed the moment would also receive a badge, and the more moments you claimed, the more your badge evolved over time. You could even click on someone's badge to see what moments they were there for.

   As a creator, I was part of the Beta for Moments. This was an INCREDIBLE tool for engaging my audience. Most of the time, the Moments were for small little silly things that happened, but it allowed for my audience members who maybe couldn't afford to sub or cheer to showcase their loyalty to the stream by having a badge that said "I'm here for all the moments." The irony of the strength of this feature was that it wasn't really for "The Moment" you were there, but for combination of all the small little moments you got to share.

   Growing on Twitch is about engaging your audience and giving them reasons to come back. Moments allowed viewers who tuned in for the day the chance at "being there" for something cool. It created an opportunity for people to stick around more and watch more of my content.

   Anytime something cool happened my audience would say "MOMENT?," and so much so that I made an emote for the very thing. The emote ranked #1 in both my channel and outside my channel since it's creation for me.

   It's failure as a feature is rooted in

   1. The Beta was too limited. Not enough people who could benefit from it were given the chance to use it.
   2. There was not a lot of push from Twitch to help creators understand why the feature is so good.
   3. The feature needed more feedback to shape it into something truly special.

   Imagine having the badge and also attaching an Emote slot to Certain Tiers. Imagine having more options to really edit the clips so that you could really encompass the Moment. Imagine having MORE MOMENTS to give out so you could be more free with giving them out.

   The reason it was cut was "limited use by the community" and that they would strive to "Create features that bring value to streamers"

   Moments IS that feature. The badge is such a cool function. You don't need to make it compete with Featured Clips, in fact just having them on the viewer's profile under the badge is enough.

   Please reconsider axing this and please actually reach out for feedback to those of us who get access to these Beta Features.

4. Chat mobile 31.3.0

   Chat was changed in version 31.3.0. The new chat design has a lot of padding around each message. This means you can only see half as many messages at a time compared to before. Please consider reverting this change.

6. Indicator for Active Viewer

   It would mutually benefit Twitch, the streamer, and the viewer if there was an indicator for a viewer to see if they're being counted as a viewer. As it currently stands, all a streamer can do is remind people to chat and use redeems to maybe have a viewer count (but even then there's no way of knowing). I like to watch multiple streams at a time sometimes just audio in a background tab, but I don't know how often I'm being counted as a viewer. If I'm not counted as a viewer in a stream I'm trying to support, I'm not counted in the view count of Twitch's metrics either which I'm sure doesn't help appeal to advertisers. Making it clear when viewership counts and when it may not instead of having everyone guess will benefit everyone. I currently have to guess how many streams I can view concurrently, if I need to use redeems/chat, if the window needs to be in focus, if refreshing helps. As I type this I have 4 tabs up and I'm only getting channel points in 2 of the 4 (not even the one I'm most actively typing in). Sometimes I can be earning channel points with 7 tabs up, there's no clarity on this, a viewer indicator on a 10+ second delay would be the best solution in my opinion, maybe even give it a clickable description.

7. Show the whole Chat history

   As of right now, you can't see a user's full chat history. Assume someone sent a message back in 2018; you can't find it anymore. Making the whole history accessible also helps people sending an unban request years after getting banned. Now you sometimes don't know why they were banned. Showing the whole history would easily solve this issue and not have any side effects.

9. Disable watch streak reminders

   This is more of a feedback post. I'm finding it a bit annoying that Twitch reminds viewers of their active watch streaks if they're unable to watch streamers they have the watch streak on because I could be moderating for someone or streaming myself and I see "Watch streak: #" under a person's name which pressures them to go watch that stream for a few minutes to retain a streak.

   Another thing I dislike is receiving a mobile notification saying "Your streak for this streamer just broke! Watch a VOD or clip to save it." because it makes the viewer feel bad for missing a stream when the viewer has things offline they need to do like going to a doctor appointment.

11. Stop Websites From Saving Our Chats

    Twitch needs to change its chat system so third-party websites can't pull up our personal chat history. Right now, anyone can search your username on random tracking sites and see everything you've ever typed, which completely ruins our privacy. Locking our chats to our official accounts and blocking outside sites from grabbing the data will fix this issue. Please upvote this to help us get our privacy back and protect our accounts!

12. Show the Percentage of Viewers Actively Participating in Chat

    I think Twitch should show how many unique viewers are actively participating in chat compared to the total number of viewers.
    A small number of highly active chatters can sometimes make their opinions appear to represent the entire audience. For example, a stream may have 10,000 viewers, while only 200 people are actively chatting. If a small group repeatedly posts the same negative opinion, it can create the impression that “everyone” feels that way, even though most viewers have not expressed any opinion at all.
    This can also influence other viewers, who may assume that the dominant opinion in chat represents the majority.
    A simple optional indicator could help:
    Viewers: 10,000
    Unique active chatters in the last 5 minutes: 200 (2%)
    This would not judge whether an opinion is right or wrong. It would simply provide context about how representative the visible chat actually is.
    I believe this could help both streamers and viewers better understand the difference between “the opinion of chat” and “the opinion of the entire audience.”

    The idea is to introduce a feature that allows streamers to assign custom titles to their Subscribers, which would be publicly visible within the channel (such as in chat, user interactions, or channel-related UI elements).

    These titles would act as a symbolic form of recognition, helping strengthen the sense of identity and belonging within a community. Streamers could use them creatively, for example:

15. Cannot send the same message twice within 30 seconds even though first message wasn't sent.

    Description: When a message fails to send and the user is notified of the failure, the user is unable to resend the exact same message within 30 seconds of the failed message. When a message fails to be sent, the user should not be blocked from sending the same message within 30 seconds.

    Reproduction steps:
    1. Log into twitch.
    2. Go into a stream where the user can chat.
    3. Type in something in the chat and cause a failure of the message to be sent
    4. Within 30 seconds of the message not being sent, try and send the exact same message.
    5. Observe the chat and check that the user gets a warning that says that the same message cannot be sent within 30 seconds of each other.

    Expected results: When a chat message fails to be sent, users should be able to send the same message within the 30 seconds window. Only when the message has been successfully sent and the other users can see it should the restriction of not being able to send the same message within 30 seconds go into effect.

    Actual results: When a user sends a message, and the message fails to send, the user is still restricted from sending the same message within 30 seconds of each other.

    I sadly do not have any screen recording of this issue.

18. Stop the auto triggering hypetrains

    We are seeing Hype Train Level 1 0% trains randomly starting in streams when there have been zero resubs, subs, gifted subs, bits etc that should initiate a hype train. It feels like it is artificially manufacturing hype, and further means that if people come in 20 minutes later and actually do things that would start a hype train it won't trigger because there has already been one for that hour. I get why this is there, but it's really leaving a sour taste in several streamer's communities, especially when they already have hype train triggers that now artificially trigger when these automatic hype trains start. Please stop this, or make it so that streamers can opt out of them.

    Please add a simple way for viewers to send messages that appear normally in Twitch chat (for everyone) but do not show up on the streamer’s on-screen chat overlay. A small toggle or button next to the chat box labeled “Off-Screen” would work well. When turned on, messages stay fully visible to other viewers and mods in the regular chat, but overlays (StreamElements, Streamlabs, OBS chat sources, etc.) simply ignore them.
