1. Twitch functionality issues

Why is twitch the only site where i constantly experience new issues? for the past year there have been constant issues when scrolling on the various parts of the site, often making this utility non functional, or like the recommended tab, jump randomly up and down. this is the ONLY site ive ever experienced issues, an you have several of em.

i thought i was the only one but so many people i talk to have the same experience. And it kinda makes sense when i tried to provide feedback and have to jump so many hurdles to even find a place to do so. im not even sure if im in the right place atm.

2. Alert by Streamer playing specific game

I'd like there to be a feature to enable an alert when a specific streamer starts streaming a specific game. For example, I don't need to know when Summit1G goes live, but I would like to know if it's live and starts streaming Valheim or Sea of Thieves.

The stats for these alert notifications should be shared to the streamer, as an indicator of interest for them to play a specific game.

3. Speech to Text and Translate

So if Twitch have a inbuild Ai speech to text system what the Watcher not streamer can activate and position in the picture you have a nice little feature but if you include a translator ai in this which the User/watcher is allowed to controle by habit or wish, turn off or on or position the window where in the pic the text is shown you may have a senstation and close the gap between languages. You may offer that as a service and also can monetise this.

Actually some streamers like Piratesoftware uses a speech to text ai. due this Nature of streamer based function not even autotranslators from websides are able to translate this. So you have something what pushes Twitch further. Also you create a fine little thingy for deaf people and get em in the world of live streaming + communicating because most streamers answer questions by voice and not per text.

I think this service based on AI is a fantastic idea to level up Twitch. If you need further explanation for that idea or my trys with that kinda stuff i tested with AI feel free to contact me. BUT i am not a programmer so dont be sad if i cannot build it for you.

   Best greets

4. Twitch Men's Mental Health Guild

Men's mental health is heavily stigmatized by society and I would love to see a space that amplifies the importance of men's emotional wellbeing. This space would educate other men on how to be less toxic, and how to practice empathy with other individuals.

6. Viewer Monthly Roundup extended statistics

At the beginning of each month, Twitch currently displays for each user a "round up" of stats for the month, how many of that streamers streams a user attended, how many watch-hours they have, how many messages were sent, but I would also like to see a Contributions page, where a user can see some admittedly estimated statistics of their potential monetary contributions to a channel. Something like "You threw 1380 bits in April! You've been subscribed for 39 months, WOW!" or "Your Turbo Membership resulted in 3.98 in estimated ad revenue this month! So generous!"

In my opinion this would help the viewers feel better about the ads they're watching, or the breaks the streamer takes to run ad breaks. It'd help people see how much their attention is valued both by the streamer, and the platform. It might help us as chatters feel like we're really a contributing part of this platform's success, even if we don't have the money to buy a hundred subs.

Seeing the impact of your contributions is important to everyone, and streamers already try to do this the best we can by reminding people that their attention and viewership is worth a lot to us, subscriptions or no, and that has served streamers well. I think it would serve Twitch well as well to make some rough estimate of these contributions known to the viewer as well, and my hope is that it will also improve the end user's disposition towards being served ads, because they know the good it can do for the streamer they're watching.

7. Give better Whisper security controls, or give us the option to just turn them off.

Whispers are now completely broken thanks to required phone verification!

Twitch now requires phone verification to send a whisper to anyone, regardless of previous whisper history, or anything else logical.

Since phone verification is never going to happen for me, I can never reply to any whisper I receive now.

And I cannot turn whispers off.

So, people keep whispering me to get help with things, and I have no way to tell them I can't even reply to them.

If Twitch is not going to allow some sort of other account verification, or security settings, then Twitch should give us the option to just turn whispers OFF completely to stop the horrible user experience.

The only option now is to "Block whispers from strangers" which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Here's the description for "Block from strangers" -> "Block whispers from strangers unless you whisper them first. A stranger is anyone who is NOT: someone you follow, someone you subscribe to, one of your mods, or one of your editors."

Even with this setting on, I still get whispers from people who then get angry I haven't replied. And I have no way to contact them to say I can't even reply.

   Horrible, horrible UX.

8. unfair banning practices

I think twitch is being horribly inconsistent on its banning practices. It's bad enough you ban channels "by mistake" as that really throws the moderators into chaos. Worse, you ban channels based on random snitches who either are just trying to cause trouble or are trying to eliminate competition.
I also don't like this policy of banning for "copyright violation". There are channels you don't touch that are showing more recent stuff that channels you've removed. Frankly, since these channels are generating ad revenue for you and nobody is downloading the content, I don't believe copyright is an issue, especially since the content is usually 10 yrs old or more. I pay for turbo, and the more channels you ban, the less reason I have to pay for anything. You're gonna lose customers that way.

9. TOS Updates

TOS Updates should point out what has changed. Since every website and its mother sends out those emails, there's just no way I can read through all that trying to see what changed. Can't remember pages & pages of dry text, either. The changes should be highlighted with some color. Give us all a break!

10. Need a ON and OFF feature for Text to Speech Alerts on viewer side due to it interfering with Closed Caption Subtitles for Hearing Impaired

(Closed Caption) Hearing Impaired customers have a very difficult time reading the Closed Caption when Streamers turn on the Text to Speech Alerts for their Chat when they donate or use points for alerts. But Twitch Customer Service didn't take this into account. Any time a Text to Speech Alert is used on stream it disrupts the Closed Caption Subtitle feature for the Disabled and Hearing Impaired people trying to read what is being said by the Streamers. We need a way to be able to turn the Text to Speech Alerts off on our side. So that it does not affect the Closed Caption Subtitle wording arrangement. Sometimes it makes the sentences incoherent and sometimes it doesn't even register the dialogue at all due to the Alerts interfering with the Closed Caption Subtitles. There needs to be a fix for this effectively because it is against the ACLU's discrimination acts and laws to not provide the option to turn on or off these features that affects the Hearing Impaired Device on our side ,and not someone else controlling our Hearing or Caption Device like it is now with the Text to Speech Alerts only Streamers control by allowing donations or points. we need a feature to allow us to turn it on and off or to mute it. Sincerely concerned customer.

11. Sidebar not working on far right

The sidebar UI design is really bad. Currently I have to stick with the sidebar and it doesn't work on far right. Is frustrating to use dexterity to catch with your mouse the sidebar. In fullscreen on web it should automatically click on sidebar when you go to the righest area of the sidebar. The sidebar is very annoying.

12. Changing pop up message on some streams for "claiming your sub"

Notice in the middle of some streamers live stream, when my cursor hovers in the middle, a pop up comes up that says, " CLAIM your sub". This happened to me previously on another streamers page and thought someone gave me a sub and i was CLAIMING it. It wasn't. If you click it, it immediately uses your PRIME sub for that streamer. That is very misleading. I was checking out a streamer and thought someone in chat, like many do, gave me a sub. If someone is new on twitch or not on much or hasn't seen it, they aren't going to know they are using their prime sub. Can this be fixed? it should be an easy fix by changing the wording?

    Thank you
    JP

13. You need to add "Street Drivin'" and "Hard Drivin's Airborne" from Atari to the list of games you can select to stream!

You need to add "Street Drivin'" and "Hard Drivin's Airborne" from Atari to the list of games you can select to stream. They were almost fully finished prototype arcade machines and I just fixed bugs in them on MAME and made them way more playable and Street Drivin' is now fully working and i got rid of major steering wheel bug in both of them and just 1 minor bug left in Airborne now but i think it might only be fixable through a game source code modification. They are IMO the best in the Hard Drivin' / Race Drivin' series!!!!

17. Twitch.tv

Hi, I just struggled the last couple days with my favorite streamers. I just wanted to bring an idea where i can choose a maximum of 5 streamers as favorite which pop up on the first view if you open www.twitch.tv (only if you are already logged in).
It doesn't matter if they are live streaming or offline, maybe i want to watch their latest streams or something else. Just to navigate easier to your favorite streamers channel some kind of a feature would be the best thing!

    Greetings
    Eren

Channels are gaming twitch drops now, I've been cut off of a stream minutes before unlocking a drop several times now, furthermore the drops page is incredibly misleading and borders on bait and switch. These are marketing promotions and need to follow all applicable laws and regulations. Clean up your house before you get sued.
