1. Preventing Burner Account harrassment

   I've been getting bothered by burner accounts that follow me and use the points to spam their username, which is usually outrageously explicit, before I can manage to ban them.

   A solution I think would be nice would be to add an extra layer in verification to add the option of requiring an account be of a certain age for followers/ first time chatters IN ADDITION to the email/phone number verification. Instead of verified email OR an account older than (x), verified email AND an account older than (x). In addition from preventing chatting, we should prevent following AND ANY CHANNEL REDEMPTIONS.

   This would be plenty to stop the harassment I've been dealing with lately, and I believe this would also require minimal work to employ as it uses things twitch already has in its arsenal. This could be a big step in quality of life and stream moderation.

2. Better support for erroneous decisions

   Giving the streamers a chance to talk to someone, or show that it's a free use thing. when things get muted in video that shouldn't be. For example, audio from rights-free sources.. or rights-free downloads from YouTube or Facebook, that claim we can use them rights-free anywhere. is there any way to do this? we need more people in this field and not AI. please

4. Gaslighting, Logging, Context, Complaints.

   When someone is banned from Twitch, there needs to be a specific Twitch staff ID internally to help identify who issued the ban. If there is already a system in place, then when there are elevated concerns about the lack of absolute context, time, or statements made, the user SHOULD KNOW what it is.

   Just a few days ago, I found out what “Hawk Touh” means, and it’s just one of the thousands of random memes like “bing ****” or “pushing p” that appear and fade out of context. I find these memes irritating and nonsensical. Thanks to hindsight, I understood why I was banned again (after a month prior having been banned for absolutely no reason). These memes, often used without context, can be easily misunderstood, leading to unjust bans.

   The first time, it was for “Hateful Conduct.” Despite phone calls, emails, and attempted audits from third-party overseers, there was no update. The second time, due to the absurd nature of the ban on Twitch staff’s end, it was for “Unwarranted Sexual Advancements.” This time, I had logs. I sent them to the proper third-party auditors and included the Twitch staff CC in a more detailed follow-up email with far more context to the misguided ban. They responded on day 9 (the ban was only 7 days), stating they made a mistake and unbanned me, even though I was unbanned two days prior.

   Accountability: Twitch staff need to be investigated when there is such a heinous claim. This should not HAVE to happen through third-party means, given the context of an “unwarranted sexual advance.” Discussing assets with a developer to the point where StreamElements guided me in the proper direction to acquire the assets in that channel should not result in a ban. I gave them the case number of the Hateful Conduct ban a month prior in their feedback form. I see nothing come of it, just more stories of past issues that have no relevance today.

   This is an example of how terrible the system is. The lack of information in that Tweet by the disgruntled Twitch employee likely reflects the inadequacy of their internal system. This ambiguity in communication can cause unnecessary defense of inappropriate actions based on misunderstood contexts. The ambiguity IS THE ISSUE. The lack of evidence on Twitch staff’s end in my case is likely not reflective of the incident 4 years ago involving different staff. Today, it is NOT the case. There are no guidelines to hold accountability on Twitch for both the user and the staff.

   The takeaway is, without third-party programs that allowed me to log MY OWN chat records, we can’t contextualize our own memes that are unknown to everyone. Since these bans were “repealed,” I have no idea if that means the “Hateful Conduct” or the proven out-of-context “Sexual Advancement.” Knowing that, I had the mods send me my logs when I was unbanned in May, the last thing I said was “DDT was banned in the 1980s, I thought?” So I provided an epa.gov link to the staff and still have heard nothing.

   1.  Set up a system to find out how many strikes someone has for bans. I am assuming all of the bans were overturned but have ZERO way of knowing, as I only know they said “after looking into it” when I never stated anything about appealing the “Sexual Advancement” ban, since I found it imperative to understand the misuse of banning as I provided the evidence of what declared that ban and only provided the case number for the Hateful Conduct ban.
   2.  Compensation when back-to-back bans were PROVEN to be a mistake.
   3.  Third-party auditing that cannot be money-trailed (digital era is digital) to Twitch, involving no conflict of interest in the current matter on a case-by-case basis.
   4.  The loss of privileges to any Twitch staff who has wrongfully banned someone for twice the duration of the ban inflicted on the individuals.
   5.  Refocus the financials on other companies like Valve or just strictly leave Twitch to be linked as an option. The other opportunities for Prime Gaming are massive since 2014. Using Prime for other ventures has been profitable for Amazon, as stated. Twitch needs to refocus employee payments towards staff identified by the methods above and use their salaries to identify botnets, which are damaging ad revenue. Alternatively, develop an application that allows users to know what they said so it’s not “your word against something they can’t find since the account is nuked.”
   

   The level on which Twitch operates now is embarrassing. The fact that you can have current Twitch staff hand out similarly worded ban reasons, “and making a mistake” ONLY when I could provide evidence, is something Amazon among other affiliates and partners KNOW has been the terrible standard for a minute.

8. Sexual education content

   Twitch recently introduced the ‘content classified’ categories.
   I am talking about sexual education, no nudity, and I have been classified as “sexual themes”.
   It is a nightmare for me as hot tub girls are also classified as “sexual themes”
   Viewers come to my stream asking me when I will get more naked. They also tell me I shouldn’t say “sexual themes” as I am not doing hot tub.
   I understand we need to protect children but please we need to add “sexual education” classified content.
   I cannot stream with this category

   Le streamhack est un problème récurrent surtout sur LoL et LoL est un des jeux star de Twitch.
   Il pourrai peut-être se régler par grâce à la liaison de notre compte LoL à twitch. Étant donné que notre compte LoL est lié à Twitch, on pourrai tout simplement comparé les deux (celui du viewer et du streamer) pour savoir si le pseudo/compte est dans la même game que celui du streamer.
   Rendre obligatoire la liaison du compte Twitch et LoL dans le cas où le viewer à Lol de lancer sur son device (Discord récupère cette info alors j'imagine qu'on peut la récupérer), si Lol n'est pas lancé sur le device alors la connexion/liaison n'est pas obligatoire.
   Voilà c'est une idée, rien d'abouti mais je pense que ça peut se creuser et ça rendrait le streamhack même pour les autres jeux beaucoup plus inaccessible et rendrait l'expérience utilisateur du streamer comme des viewer beaucoup plus agréable.

    Ich finde die Inhaltskennzeichnung ganz gut, würde aber gerne wissen bzw. sicherstellen wollen das es sich um gekennzeichnete Dinge handelt die im Spiel vorhanden sind. Es geht mir zbsp. darum das ich Raucher bin und mit Drogen nix zu tun habe, in meinem aktuellen Spiel "Crime Boss" kommen Drogen vor. Jetzt stand eben auf meinem Channel das in meinem Stream Drogen und Tabakwaren vorkommen. Das finde ich nicht besonders gut. Es muss klarer definiert sein das sich die Inhalte aufs Spiel beziehen und nicht auf meine eigene Person bzw. meinem Kanal. Wie kann man das auseinanderhalten? Ich spiele, Spiele die lustig sind und Spiele die dramatischer sind. Als Erwachsene Person kenn ich jedoch die Unterschiede. Ich möchte meine Follower nicht abschrecken. Ich würde mich freuen von Ihnen zu lesen.

    The writing is on the wall, and the fall of twitch is upon us. Kick out here poaching the best streamers for literal generations of wealth, while twitch still pinching pennies and handing out bowls of soup to their partners; a far cry from bags of money.
    Since twitch has been steadily deteriorating in rules/moderation/layout&discoverability, if they were to pull the plug right now to stop the bleeding, they could donate a healthy sum of their remaining coffers and assets to the greatest charity humanity has ever created - the Jeff Bezos Space-travelling Cueball.
    At least the creators migrating away from twitch will be able to watch/provide content without stressing about the corner of a ****** showing, or a bloody nose ruining their sole source of income because advertisers are afraid the association between those and their ads will cause their company to implode (nobody even watches ads bros. I legit close my browser when I open a stream and there's an instant ad, followed by a mid roll of 9 in a row during the climax of the stream. Feel free to delete my account - it was only used for watching xqc nowadays anyway since you manage to push all of the GOATs out of the door.

15. Twitch Vods uploaded on youtube by somebody else

    Hello,

    I recetnly found my twitch content (my VODs) on youtube uploaded not by me and it seems i am not the only one.

    Is there anything twitch could provide to help getting that content down? I already filed a copyright strike. One of my problems is that some of the VODs are not up on my channel anymore.

    I can also not see any option to contact the support with this question. maybe a short answer (no matter if it is "we cannot help" or "do this") would be helpfull in the FAQ.

16. Warning/Reporting option for users who break Kayfabe

    Vtubers and others who wish to hide potential past lives or the like often post such rules in their channels, which are almost always ignored by others who don't care about the legitimate reasons for wanting to start anew or not have any of their information be leaked online. At least the ability to send a private warning to other users for flagrant breaches of privacy and then a ban request if they continue to ignore it would be much appreciated.

17. Ability to upload/add police reports and screenshots to appeals

    Streamers being targeted, spam reported and subsequently banned due to their gender, sexuality, race, etc. should be allowed to add supporting documentation to their ban appeal(s)

    Ex: if a streamer is reported and banned due to "inappropriate attire" but, prior to the report, the streamer was clearly harassed, threatened or hate raided on stream or in their DM's prior to the report/ban by the very person or persons that reported them, then they (the streamer) should be allowed to attach documents which show they were harassed/targeted.

    Hate groups and their members, and some horrible individuals are abusing the 'report user' feature and utilizing it as a means to unjustly harass, deplatform, demonetize and silence streamers based on their gender, race, sexual orientation, etc. If it can be shown that the person or persons reporting a streamer threatened or harassed the streamer prior to making their report, then the ban should be lifted immediately and the individual filing the report, should be banned instead.

    Because this is a growing trend, and abuse of the report user feature has run rampant, streamers, even when banned, should be allowed access to view and download their DM's, VODs, or chat logs so they can provide local law enforcement (and/or Twitch staff) with documents which substantiate any reports they would like to file concerning threats of violence/****/murder/stalking/hate crimes or sexual harassment.

    Several streamers have been targeted and harassed by those on your platform who abuse the 'report user' button to file false reports, and their actions go unpunished. There is an entire Twitter account dedicated to seeing who they can get wrongfully banned and deplatformed, a majority of those they focus on/target and celebrate being banned are women, men of color, and those in the LGBTQ+ community. They literally celebrate their "victories" in using Twitch's faulty bans and appeals systems to get "another _____ banned" it's disgusting.

    The more that women, POC and LGBTQ+ are removed and banned from Twitch, the more these hate groups and their followers will thrive, and it will kill your community, your earnings, and your site.

    Seeing hate groups and racist or misogynistic individuals celebrate online every time they get a female streamer or streamer of color wrongfully banned, watching them brag about who has successfully gotten the most POC or woman or lesbians off the platform, and knowing they used Twitch's own features and faulty system to do it...it's heartbreaking.

    Reporting and banning creators based on their gender, gender identity or race has become a sport to some of your users, and those targeted and banned by these monsters are left with absolutely no voice.

    Individuals affiliated with hate groups are exploiting your faulty report, ban and appeals systems. Meanwhile, your creators, that ones that were actually bringing money to your platform, suffer. POC, women and those in the LGBTQ+ community who were banned unjustly have no means to access their DM's, Chat Logs, etc. and no place in the appeal portal to upload proof to show they were targeted, harassed, or threatened by those reporting them. There's not even a place to attach a police report if you filed on against a person known to harass and report you... you're silencing the victims of hate crimes and targeted attacks, and believing every user that files a report not realizing it's being used as a means to hurt the streamer for no other reason than who they are.

    These hate groups and the individuals that support them will report streamers for things they have not done--yet filing a false report or spam reporting comes with no consequences, why? Currently, the report, ban, and appeals systems are designed in a way where banned streamers can't see who reported them, they can't provide evidence of harassment or threats leading up to the report, their appeals often go unread, and bans/strikes on their account that are unfounded never get removed, all this is simply encouragement for members of hate groups or individuals targeting people based on race/gender, to continue doing what they are doing, their attacks are successful and as such, they won't stop. It's a loophole that these individuals and members of extremist or hate groups, are exploiting rapidly.

    Streamers who have been repeatedly targeted and victims of spam reporting do not get their wrongfully issued bans reset or removed, and their appeals often go unanswered or denied--leaving them with several strikes against their account for violations they did not commit. After 2 or 3 attacks, hate raids or false reports, these streamers are permabanned, simply for being a POC, female, or member of the LGBTQ+ community on Twitch at a time where it's far too easy for hate groups to target streamers, harass them, threaten them and then get them banned unfairly.

    Adding an option that would allow streamers to show proof in their appeal that they were targeted, that the person(s) responsible for reporting them have been repeatedly threatening/harassing/targeting them and/or abusing the report user feature to file false reports against them and others, would be a huge step forward in showcasing that you truly support and value your streamers, ALL of them, not just the big ones or those who are buddy buddy with staff. . .

    It's also imperative that streamers who are banned not be immediately locked out of their account/DM's (as this is essentially preventing them from collecting, downloading or screenshotting evidence of harassment, sexual harassment, or threats of violence) there must be a way to prevent reported streamers from streaming if banned, while also allowing them access to important documents which can substantiate their claims and reports, such as DM's, Chat Logs, Clips or Stills that support not only their appeal but any reports they wish to file with local law enforcement if they feel unsafe--which often times, they do.

    Taking that right away, preventing a targeted, harassed, or threatened streamer from immediately obtaining Dm's, Chat Logs, VOD's or other documents on your site, which may help with properly reporting or identifying those harassing or threatening acts of violence against them and/or others, is unconscionable.

    Nothing should impede a streamers ability to obtain evidence of threats or harassment and file a report with local law enforcement, especially not a false report made by a hate group or member of, that was made merely to target, deplatform or demonetize a streamer due to their gender, race, or sexual orientation.

    It's important when filing a report with law enforcement to have as much information as possible, but the ability to do that is taken away from the victim/targeted streamer when they are immediately locked out of their account, without any proof. You are essentially punishing streamers and rewarding users that filing false reports with the system you have in place now, they know this, and as such, continue to utilize this practice. They are aware of the fact that once the streamer is banned, they can do nothing to report them, stop them, obtain information needed to file a report with LEO's, nothing, so they make threatening/hateful comments until the moment they get the streamer banned, and face zero repercussions.

    Fostering an environment where hate groups and their supporters are allowed to thrive, file false reports repeatedly without consequence, and succeed in getting streamers banned due to their race, gender, religion, etc. is against the very values Twitch claims to hold dear. As it stands, your actions and policies, or lack-thereof, do not support your values.

    There must be a better review process in place for bans and appeals, because at this time, hate groups are taking advantage of this loophole/issue to ensure that women, POC, and those in the LGBTQ+ community are silenced and no longer able to stream--if we don't take action now, this will only continue to fester and grow, getting worse as time goes on.

    It's not just about fostering a community of inclusiveness, but revenue is impacted as well, while these small-ish streamers being targeted may not seem like a big deal because they don't garner the impressive numbers big streamers do, they do add up, just one streamer that is wrongfully permabanned due to targeted attacks that has say 50k followers, generating an average 4k in revenue a month (not including ads), is a consistent 2k that you are wiping out, when you account for how many are banned due to targeted attacks, and an inability to state their case and challenge their appeals properly, you're talking tens if not hundreds of thousands a month in revenue slipping through your hands--you are hemorrhaging money by allowing a system which permabans streamers that garner steady views and generate consistent revenue on your site. Doing nothing to stop hate groups and their members who work to get those bringing income to your site removed--is and will continue to be, a hinderance in your earnings. Why continue to cater to those that aren't bringing money to the site by implementing a system which rewards them for targeting streamers and filing false reports? An improved ban/appeals system to combat this issue would improve revenue and the community as a whole.

    Streamers being targeted, spam reported and subsequently banned due to their gender, sexuality, race, etc. should be allowed to add supporting documentation to their ban appeal(s)

    Ex: if a streamer is reported and banned due to "inappropriate attire" but, prior to the report, the streamer was clearly harassed, threatened or hate raided on stream or in their DM's prior to the report/ban by the very person or persons that reported them, then they (the streamer) should be allowed to attach documents which show they were harassed/targeted.

20. Music in streams isn't recognized correctly

    Not an Idea but pain in the a** for me. I didn't find any other way to report this issue. The problem is that twitch algorithm doesn't recognize music playing in my streams correctly so I am getting muted all the time in my videos. Recognized song isn't even close to what I am actually playing.
    For now I have to fill out appeal every time I finish my stream but this is no really a way for me. So Twitch please fix your stuff.
