How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. It would be great to have dedicated folders to see how we discovered a broadcaster. Let's say I click on someone's twitter link to twitch and I follow the person--it would be fantastic to hold that broadcaster's channel in the Twitter folder. How about Twitchcon? We could make custom folders to say how we met each other (since not all channel discoveries are digital, obviously).

  2. Ranging from writing and discussing novels, to poetry, scripts, comics, article editing, tabletop campaign planning, world creation, etc. There are a wide array of people doing various forms of creative writing on twitch, (Counted 53 channels so far, still working on finding more) and often it's hard to decide between "Creative" "Art" or "Just Chatting". Currently all we have to search for similar content is the "Writing" tag, which some of the broader definitions are hesitant to use, and is also used by people writing computer code, which is honestly a very different type of content despite it's visual similarities.

  3. In my opinion, gameplay is so much more interesting to watch when the streamer has a webcam. Their reactions are what make me want to tune into their stream. Of course it's fine if people don't want to use a webcam, but I'd like to be able to filter by those that do.

  6. I would like to get GS Pro added as a game to your database. It is the most popular golf sim software at the moment and I would love to be able to have it as a selectable game so I don’t have to put I’m playing some other unrelated golf game. I tried to get it added to IGDB.com and they said they wouldn’t add it because it is considered simulator software. Also a golf simulator section would be great as I feel it is a fast growing gaming field that is underrepresented.

  7. Once you're following what I think is around 80-100 categories, they stop showing up on your list of followed categories, even if they have live streams. I like to discover streamers by following a bunch of my favorite games, but I'm running up against this limit constantly, and have to keep unfollowing and rotating out games. Would love this limit to be increased.

  8. Would like to be able to view all Categories my account is Following.

Unable to view all Categories the account is Following. On the webpage, "https://www.twitch.tv/directory/following/games" the page only displays "Live categories" of the Categories(game titles) and does not display the game titles that are not live. To specify it is on the page with the primary heading, "Following" with the secondary sub-heading "Categories" highlighted and a tertiary sub-heading "Live categories". Would have attached a printscreen if the option was available

If there is a way or backdoor way to view all game titles the account is following…

  9. When you see who's live from the people you follow there's only one list from top to bottom, consider having two lists side by side where you see the most viewed channel you follow and least viewed channel you follow.

You could consider adding a third column to see who's live other than just from the channels you follow.

  10. Browsing through the homepage today, the "Recommended smaller communities" section had six channels in it. None had less than 20 viewers and all had at least 3.5K followers. These are NOT small communities. I generally hang out in streams with 10-20 viewers at most and they generally have less than 1K followers. The streams in the section now may not be large, but, compared to the vast majority of channels on Twitch, they are HUGE. If the goal of this section is truly to promote small communities, you can do much better than this.

  11. Merge "Nioh 2" and "Nioh 2 - The Complete Edition" into one category, because it's the same game. This separation confuses viewers and gamers.

  12. Next time, should feature the streamers on the show floor promoting the event.

There was an underwhelming viewership on streamer channels and even the official /twitchth channel. It would make sense to display the streams that are going out of their way to promote Twitch, a sponsor of the event.

  13. Feature directories that match up with top sellers and sale items from Steam. A lot of discoverability can be had from playing sale items as many buyers will want to see gameplay before purchase. Cross referencing the tags on top Steam titles and pushing those to the frontpage will increase browsing and discoverability to those playing such titles as well as allow another avenue for devs/pubs to advertise sales.

  14. It would be awesome if you could add The Disney Afternoon Collection to categories. There's a robust IGDB page already, and it features some classic games. I've tried streaming it under the categories of the particular game I'm playing, but still end up getting muted and a DMCA notice from Capcom.

  17. I search for chess and the chess category doesn't show up, apparently this is a new feature and not a bug which sound real weird. I made a ticket and got told to post "my idea" here. I assume I'll be compensated for having the great of idea of a working search thanks.

  18. Currently (that I'm aware of), there is no way to promote your channel while you're offline - unless of course it's through another site (e.g. TikTok, YouTube, etc).
So, I thought of a solution. How about adding an 'Offline Recommendations' tab underneath the 'Recommended Channels' tab list - this would replace the previous 'Friends' tab.

    How it works:
It'll work similarly to the current Recommended Channels, except only offline streamers. That way, it gives creators more reach with less effort! Of course, it should only recommend streamers that have been live within the past XX amount of days to prevent…

  19. The mobile game F1 Manager was recently rebranded to F1 Clash. The game is still exactly the same as before as it was only rebranded but the game category for the game on Twitch is still named F1 Manager, a game which no longer exists.

Can the game category F1 Manager please be renamed to F1 Clash.

The game information also refers to a completely different game produced many years ago by EA, and not the current F1 Manager/F1 Clash mobile title developed/produced by Hutch.

Information about the rebrand can be found here - https://www.hutch.io/news/introducing-f1-clash/
