  1. Until a few days ago the "following channels" sidepanel has also shown channels that are offline, just with a greyed out version of their profile picture. But now that those are not shown anymore, there is no more visual clue on whether there are more channels live that you follow than there are shown on that sidepanel when it is not expanded.

To fix that issue I would propose the follling approach (but I'm also open for other suggestions):
Once there are more channels you follow are live than fit on that list, instead of showing the last one of…

  3. Actually i would like to sort my "recommended" session by the less viewers, i am a person who like small chats, small streamers and give more attention for who is a small streamer than someone who is already big or already have a more "populated" chat.

  4. Upcoming Streams section is mostly always inaccurate and therefore unhelpful. For me, on average, more than half of the streams listed as scheduled, the user hasn't been active for over 6 months. If there was a way to hide a user from that section or to auto disenroll them from that section if they haven't streamed in a month or missed multiple scheduled streams. Otherwise it's just a big giant inaccurate unhelpful section.

  5. The following titles are the original and ports/expansions of the same game:
    * Phantasy Star Online
    * Phantasy Star Online ver. 2 (expansion--note this is different than Phantasy Star Online 2 which is a different game and should be separate)
    * Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II (port + expansion)
    * Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus (essentially just a patch!)

This was previously proposed and implemented with https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310210-discovery-browsing-and-searching/suggestions/39303526-combine-the-5-phantasy-star-online-categories -- since then, the implementation was mostly undone, with all categories except Blue Burst mysteriously returning without announcement or explanation.

When the categories were consolidated previously, it was…

  6. Virtual Reality discovery is limited on Twitch. Indie titles are spread across multiple categories, with arguably the only unified VR category being Beat Saber.

Since 2016, the VR playerbase has increased by approximately 30% per year on Steam alone, this does not take into account the million+ headsets sold by Oculus-Facebook, Sony, and users on their respective platforms during this time. (Source: https://www.vrlfg.net/Charts)

We are proposing a general Virtual Reality category to support all VR titles, from Half: Life Alyx to Pavlov VR to the smallest and newest VR indie titles.

  7. I would really like a save the world as a category option as I don't feel it fits into just fortnite category. Most people want to see battle royal mode and use fortnite category to find it. But as a save the world founder, I've noticed people want to learn how to play this game but can't filter it out from battle royal. This basically makes content creators undiscoverable on save the world mode. There's been an increasing interest in this mode and I'd like to show people it.

  8. I would love to see an actual category devoted entirely to only Veterans. We could provide our proof of service to be given access to stream in the channel and everyone, whether they are a veteran or not could interact and participate. It would allow millions of veterans to connect and interact with those that support our veterans.

  9. Please move the Carousel higher for promoted streamers during Black History Month, Women's History Month, and more.

The point of this is to get more eyes on lesser represented streamers and having to scroll down the page defeats this purpose. Above even "Live channels we think you'll like" would be amazing.

  10. Users should have the ability to set a global filter for what languages they want their recommended streams to be in. It's annoying to have to set a filter just to get streams in a language I understand every time. There should also be the ability to set multiple languages as many people speak multiple languages.

  12. How about adding another non-gaming category: "workplace"

More and more people are streaming their workplaces or businesses: bakers, cobblers, kiosk owners, carpenters, truck drivers and many more.

The current category of choice, used by these streamers, is "just chatting". This is unfitting, as working people often don't even chat on a regular basis. An own category would be great, so users can easily discover all the people streaming their work.

  13. I tried to submit feedback throughs customer service but it forwarded me here which does not seem like a form to provide feedback but anyways. I have my Twitch language set to English, yet its showing me tags in Swedish. With very clunky translations I might add.

Please show tags in the language selected on the website.

  14. A big issue with discoverability on Twitch, especially with retro or niche topics, is through how Categories are currently handled. When categorizing what the stream is doing, there is only two extreme options of the exact, specific game ("Pokémon Scarlet/Violet" or "Final Fantasy XII Remake") or the broadest topic of the game ("Retro" or "Games + Demos"), with no middle ground to help summarize things and no choice to have more than 1 game in your category. Along with this, retro titles (Such as older Final Fantasy games), are basically screwed into being a part of the extremely broad categories…

Hello! Thank you for letting us know about this help article error. We have corrected this. We will be leaving your suggestion open, thank you for the feedback!

  16. It would be useful to include separate tags for the two main Portuguese dialects: Português (BR) and Português (EU). There appears to be a lot more Brazilian streamers than European Portuguese on Twitch, but it would help to have separate tags to identify the two.

  18. I follow a lot of people who stream gambling content but the moment they start streaming slots etc., they disappear from the followed channels list. I've been following some of these people particularly for their gambling content but I can't even see whether they are live and this simply forces me to visit all channels one by one to see if they are online or not. This unsolicited censorship is completely uncalled-for, I want to watch content creators I like regardless of the content they're streaming.

Please remove this filter or make it optional. Not every Twitch user is 12…

  19. I'm asking to add "Indie game" as a category and not just as a tag. To begin I would like to site an original post that was Declined.

    https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310210-discover/suggestions/20615884-have-an-indie-category-like-retro-creative-irl-etc#comments

This letter was declined because the games are auto tagged as "Indie game". My counterpoint is that a common user doesn't know how to search by tag. It is not as accessible as the category search. For smaller streamers and game developers it is difficult for a casual user of the app/site to discover their content. For example "Adventure Lamp" has 4 Followers and is greatly unknown. It is a fantastic…

  20. The purpose of the carousel is to show people streams that they might not find otherwise. The hope is that they will find things they like and then ideally subscribe and make Twitch some money. This is all good.

The problem is that I can't find any way to filter what is shown in the carousel. Today I went to Twitch and every single item in the carousel was "music". I have zero interest in music streams. Other people might not have any interest in sports, art, or even games.

It would be fantastic if we could (at minimum) exclude…
