Option to prevent custom badge from automatically changing I've often found it to be a bit of an annoyance when I have a custom badge (the one that overrides your global badge) set in a channel and then I take some action such as cheering bits of gifting a sub and my custom badge automatically gets updated and then I have to go change it back to what I want it to stay as. /poll isn't working in chat The /poll action isn't working for me on desktop or mobile. I've tried different browsers too. Not sure if it was happening to anyone else or just me. The button to open to interface shows when I type /poll but it doesn't open anything. /prediction works and all that but just not poll. I'm just a mod at the moment so I can't access the full dashboard to do it that way.

Multiple Chat Channels Some streamers with huge numbers have no choice but to have chat in sub only mode. What if you had two chats, all-chat, and a sub only chat, and the streamer could decide which they wanted to look at, whilst the entire community could still communicate with one another.

Remove ‘Chat is active, clip for the streamer’ feature This is an awful feature that ruins the immersion for viewers and chatters and in part the Streamers as we have to hear chat complain about this pop up multiple times every stream.
In creating an engaging entertaining environment getting chat going is part of the job, but just because chat is moving doesn’t mean that it’s worth clipping.
My community and a lot of others KNOW when they would want to clip something, and this ‘feature’ is just driving people away with how constant the spam is.

Lots of unicode emojis being broken due to ZWJ being filtered out I've been looking into an issue where quite a few Unicode emojis break down when being send in the chat. This seems can be observed on both the website as the mobile client, as well as in the chat client I'm working on. The root cause seems to be that the "Zero Width Joiner" character (200D in UTF-16 hex representation) gets filtered out somewhere inside the IRC system. This will cause for example the following emoji (🧑🤝🧑) to break down into (🧑🤝🧑)

Active chat consider a Clip Prompt Feature Redo The new feature based on chat activity to "consider a clip" needs some major overhauls as it is very buggy & is turned on for channels where clips aren't even available.
Some general notes
- Streamers need to have the option to turn it off in their dashboard
- There should be more controls to set who in chat sees it and what threshold of activity counts for a "hypeable" moment vs normal chat activityBUGS (as I can think of them)
- It prompts viewers in DJ channels. (DJ's aren't allowed to have clips.)

Channel Auto Shoutout For Raids I feel the Shoutout command could be improved by allowing channels to configure an auto shoutout to happen when a channel raids. Limits should be placed on when the Raid auto shoutout occurs such as
Raiding VIPs
Raiding channels followed by the creator
Raiding Subscribers
Raiding Followers

Add integrated bot There should be an option to set up a bot without making a new account.
How it would work?
You would have a bot tab, which allows you to get a link to connect other services to it like streamelements, streamlabs, etcWhat are the benefits:
1) people don't have to get their bots a subscription
2) it's extremely easy to customise
3) no one has a reason to create bot accounts unless it's meant with malice. Which would help a ton with things like tracking follow bots and hate raid bots.22 votes -
DM character limit Twitch has imposed a 4,000 character limit for DMs. It would be extremely helpful if there was a counter with the composition window that showed a user how many remaining characters may be typed in a message before that limit is reached.
I learned of this limit the hard way; one time I clicked 'Send' on a message, only to get a screen with a red box across the top of it informing me my message had exceeded the character limit and my message hadn't been sent. Unfortunately, the text of that message was lost too.

Ability for individual users to opt out of Shared Chat sessions The new shared chat feature is great for collabs, but we have heard from some users that they feel the chat gets too busy, or they just want to see the chat messages from the stream they are in.
Could you please provide an option for individuals to turn off shared chat just for them and only see the chat messages from the stream they are watching?

Birthday badge becomes visible on your birthday only A badge for both creators AND chat members.
The creator badge will be shown next to the creators name on their live stream thumbnail, as well as in the title of the stream next to their name, but also will show the chatters birthdays as well.
Weve all been in a chat and someone obnoxiously @s the streamer saying "ITS MY FRIENDS DOGS COUSINS SISTERS BIRTHDAY TODAY - CAN YOU SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BIG BERTHA!??"
If we have a birthday badge, it will subtly put that exciting news out there without anyone having to tell anyone else about it…

Command Chat This idea specifically pertains to command driven channels, like Twitch Plays Pokemon, SaltyBet, and the like. Generally in channels like this it becomes very difficult to read conversation when the chat is flooded by commands, and depending on the channel, bot responses to those commands.
My suggestion would be to grant channel owners the option to have a bot/command specific chat log, perhaps with a simple vertical separation from the standard chat, so as to separate commands from conversation.

Ability for moderators to mark a chat message as interesting for the broadcaster to view. In rooms with a lot of viewers things can be very crowded, making it difficult for the broadcaster to read and respond to chat.
One method for dealing with this is to allow channel moderators to tag interesting chat messages so that the broadcaster can see them easier. These messages could be highlighted to the broadcaster, made persistent like a "sticky", or even a filter mode so only tagged messages will show.
This offloads the work of finding significant messages within chat to the moderators instead of the broadcaster who's already preoccupied with the game.

Give an option to remove "deleted messages" from view entirely. You are currently capable of reviewing those deleted messages but most people are not interested in that and at least in my small audience i heard that they would love to have an option removing those "message deleted" messages entirely.
Make it default perhaps?

Chat replay in twitch clips is very out of sync from the original broadcast. When viewing a clip, the chat is very out of sync from what you would see live or in the VOD. The chat appears to start with messages that were sent at the end of the clip instead of the beginning - as if it is referencing the wrong time offset.
This is also noticeable when clicking the 'Watch Full Video' button below a clip. This will open up the VOD to the end of the clip instead of the beginning as it used to.

Blocked terms / blacklist for Whispers A similar feature to chat blocked term or other form of blacklist words for chat whispers.
This thought came up because the "Want to be famous" bots have taken to whispers instead of chat. But this feature would be great to ease issues of harrassment being able to block potential slurs or other disparraging words.
In chat we have blocked terms as well as third party bots to filter out spam or unwanted words. But bots don't currently have the ability to filter whispers and twitch has no native method to block unwanted whispers outside of fully blocking all whispers.

Increase Whisper per Day Limit I am a very active twitch user, and whisper a LOT of people daily, but after a certain amount of whispers, you MUTE me... and I can no longer whisper.
There is no explanation, telling me that I sent too many, nothing... so I thought it was a bug, but it turns out you probably have a daily limit. You may want to reconsider that as your platform is quickly growing. Put it up to 200 or something. Or unlimited really, up to you but I hope that you change this feature.19 votes -
Chat log It would be nice to be able to view your own chat log, the same way moderators/streamers can view yours. And if you've been timed out, you can see which chat message got you a timeout.
