Option to prevent custom badge from automatically changing
I've often found it to be a bit of an annoyance when I have a custom badge (the one that overrides your global badge) set in a channel and then I take some action such as cheering bits of gifting a sub and my custom badge automatically gets updated and then I have to go change it back to what I want it to stay as. I understand the feature in and of itself is nice to have and in many cases I may want the automatic updated badge, but I would like to have an option (ideally on a channel by channel basis) to toggle my custom channel badge to NOT be overridden unless I manually change it.

please please please this. it's even more of a hassle as a moderator, as there is no chat identity button in chat on the moderator page. you have to go into the extra menu, "see non-mod settings", then you can pick chat identity, scroll down to the custom badge section, change it... and do that every time you want to cheer, gift, participate in hype trains

This is still a thing in 2024 and it's SO ANNOYING. I don't want a bits leader badge or hype train badge.
It's worse now because bits leaders reset weekly, so it's constantly changing channel badges. Cmon' twitch, fix this or make it an option to enable/disable.

yes, f**cking yes! i have the 50k bit badge in a channel, and i want that to display always, i dont want the "top cheer" badge or whatever to ever display instead
