Breast Cancer Charity Badge
I think it would be cool if Twitch partnered up with a breast cancer research charity and If users donate to charity through Twitch they could unlock a pink ribbon global badge and maybe some emotes. I think adding a badge could make it easier for users to find out about these charities and if they donate to it through Twitch they can be sure that the charity is a legitimate foundation.
I'm not very good at photoshop but I made a concept for the badge.

Show streamer/mods passive and active mods present
Having to open the user list to see how many mods are there—digitally if not mentally—all the time is way too much hassle.
Can’t we show channel staff (not regular users because of privacy) a number for the passive mods and active mods so people know whether to ask more to come by and keep things cordial?

Chat division moderator.
Here's an idea on how to moderate an overly active chat full of spam, streamer bashing, and overall bullying without having to rely heavily on a streams moderators. Have a series of settings for chat division based on the viewers sub tier or lack there of. For example: In a stream that has over 100,000 subscribers, simply puting it into sub only mode does nothing, instead have an option that puts it into sub "tier 2" mode which now grants subscribers of "tier 3 " and "tier 2" privacy to their own chat room and have the rest of the…

Monthly Bit Leaders
At the moment the setting is weekly or all time. It would be cool to have a monthly setting, because a week is only a couple of streams for some people, and forever is a really long time!

Make chat more tolerable and reduce spam by temporarily pinning cumulative messages, with the number of people saying it, in the chat.
Twitch chat in popular channels is more about reactions than it is about actual chat. Unfortunately - as fun as chat spam can be - it makes moderation difficult and completely destroys any semblance of discussion that the streamer or chatters may want to have. r9k mode was an answer but, unfortunately, breaks down the way certain chat bots work and ruins, rather than facilitates, certain forms of chat that streamers may want.
I propose that streamers be given the option to enable a customizable "popular messages" feature for their chat. Such a feature would catch any message spam and…

Have alternative user name Font Colors between Light theme and Dark theme
Allow 2 different user name font colors - one for dark theme background and another for light theme background which switches back and forth automatically.
Some colors look great in one version but are literally unreadable in the other.2 votes -
Moderator banner
I am a moderator of a Twitch channel which regularly has more than 1000 spectators. When we want to convey a message to viewers, it is often difficult to read...
I propose to add a new feature to moderators so that they can display a visible banner of all (as, for example, that of bits donations).
Thanks in advance.64 votes -
allow streamers to set a limit on the number of people that can send messages chat.
Since twitch has grown in size, many people have realized that streamers can no longer engage with their community the way they used to. Even with subscriber-only mode turned on, due to the massive increase in twitch prime subs, most long time streamers' chats are still filled with spam. You should give streamers a mode that limits the amount of viewers that can talk in chat, giving priority to those who have been subbed the longest(including or not including prime subs), and then those who has been following the longest. This gives people who have been watching a streamer for…

Add A 'Time Posted' Bubble When Hovering Over A Stream Chat Message/User
Many times when a chat is more quiet it can be hard for a streamer and other chat users to know when the last message, or a specific message, was attached. This can sometimes cause confusion especially if the streamer has added a delay and doesn't see a message for several minutes. I think that, like Facebook Messenger, you should be able to hover over a specific message/user to know exactly when it was posted relative to your own time zone. It's a very simple fix that I think a lot of users and streamers would appreciate.

Split chat into 2 boxes.
Add intelligence to detect and split Spam messages and real messages into two boxes for high velocity chat streams. Problem: When people have something valuable and meaningful to say, their message flies off the screen and into the void.

Black font colour (user names in chat) and dark mode
Better distinguishing of black letters (usernames) when using dark mode, few pixels of white border maybe

Ability to react to individual comments with emotes/emojis (a la Discord)
On Discord, you can react to a message with an emote or emoji. This allows people to react to a comment without clogging up the chat with "LOL" or "yes/no", etc. The streamer would be able to opt-in to it to prevent it when it isn't wanted.

Create badges that display your home country beside your name in Twitch chat
A streamer I was watching (dakopall) was asking where everyone in chat was from, and suggested that Twitch should make optional badges that you could have beside your name (as with Twitch Prime, etc) to display your home country.
I think it would be a great idea to allow people to know what area of the world they're chatting with.

Visible chat/whispers character limit
It would be very helpful to have the current hidden character limit shown just like on twitter or similar websites, and not be able to send the messages when they are too long, instead of giving us the illusion to have sent them successfully when it is not actually the case. Both in chat and whispers.

DM character limit
Twitch has imposed a 4,000 character limit for DMs. It would be extremely helpful if there was a counter with the composition window that showed a user how many remaining characters may be typed in a message before that limit is reached.
I learned of this limit the hard way; one time I clicked 'Send' on a message, only to get a screen with a red box across the top of it informing me my message had exceeded the character limit and my message hadn't been sent. Unfortunately, the text of that message was lost too.

A reminder when trying to communicate with a blocked user
One of my Twitch friends inadvertently blocked me. He would send me whispers, but I couldn't reply. Every time I attempted to reply, I would see the message "That user's settings prevent them from receiving this whisper." It would be helpful if a similar message was displayed for a Twitch user whispering someone he or she has blocked - "You're whispering someone whom you've blocked. That person is unable to whisper back to you."
Also, it seems as though blocking someone from whispering automatically blocks receiving a DM from them. In situations where someone was blocked inadvertently, it would be…

Possible solution for massive streams chat
Current system of chats on massive streams is a big problem. Unreadable and full of spam.
I was thinking one of a possible fixes it should be to make sub rooms of chat. For example
Stream General chat can be splitted into:
chat-en-1
chat-en-2
chat-en-3
chat-es-1
chat-es-2
chat-ru-1
chat-ru-2
I dont know what kind of structure are you using about it.
What do you think?

Get a private message when you are mentioned.
For example:
You ask a question in a chat of a streamer. You get an answer like "@name answer to question", but you could not read the answer because there are 10.000 people chatting or you went somewhere else. My suggestion is that you get a private message when your name is mentioned so you can read the answer anytime.1 vote
