  1. Right to the point: I have a stream where i am regular viewer Guild Wars 2 game, but there is a player who plays in competitive scene of that game, known to the streamer i watch and his viewers.

I've been mistaken for that player many times in streamer's twitch chat because of my nickname, which is similar to that player's nickname.

I don't want to change my global nickname because on other streams it's fine, but for that stream alone, where i am constantly mistaken for someone else, i would set some unique nickname.

    I.e. Just like Discord's server…

  2. Make "Chat Filters" setting persistent. Currently, I have to turn my Chat Filters OFF every time I log on to the website, even though I have cookies enabled for the site, and this is very annoying. This setting should be stored in the account and persistently applied. Even better, it could be applied to each individual channel.

  3. So, I know Pride Months is over soon, but it's never to late to do it.

I wanted to show my support to Pride Month and me as many others we have done it already.

But I would love an option for us to use a rainbow color username during Pride Month to show the support.

  4. Can we have an option to turn off the highlight on monitored users for moderation? It especially is useful for the streamer as the person being suspicious shouldn't draw the streamer's attention more than other viewers.

  5. Hi,

I would like to be able remove myself from leaderboard of specific channel.
I am able to do it globally in my account setting, but after supporting 100+ channels, I would like to be able to remove it from a specific one and keep the rest. I have supported few creators, which have been associated with some kind of drama and I have been harassed online for supporting them, eventhough I supported them before the drama.

Is it possible to add some kind of feature to channel's chat or account setting to be excluded from specific leaderboards?

    Thank you

  6. Allow users to set what timezone they are in, and display both local time and the chatter's time.

eg: I am in US/Eastern and Anon123 is in US/Pacific, so I would see something like this in my chat:
12:01 Nivex: This is a test message
    12:02 (9:02) Anon123: Response message

  9. When selecting emotes to attach to a whisper, only a couple lines of emotes are visible, which is a pain when you have 100s of emotes to choose from. A resizable window or a large pop-out would accommodate this much better.

The ordering system also lacks consistency. The main reason the small window is an issue for me is it's difficult to find my own channel emotes, which I wish would just always stay at the top.

  10. Similar to the setting to Block whispers from strangers. Have a secondary option that re-allows whispers from your followers, or a higher level your subscribers only.

"Want to be famous" bots have been circumventing filters in chat by whispering creators. There are legitimate reasons to want to have whispers open to your community, but currently the only option is to block whispers from strangers. A creator can't go around and follow/friend everyone of their followers.

A reason for including sub only (in addition to followers) would be reducing chance of harassment as subs are less likely to.

  11. Twitch betting.
With polls already existing a betting system could be brought in. A rough idea on how it could work -
A and B streamers are in the same team of a call of duty match and they start a poll (bet) on who will finish the match with more kills and viewers can bet on their choice of player ( A or B ). For eg. a 100 people bet 1$ each (preset odds are 1 for both) on this poll where 60 chose A and 40 chose B. B ends up winning the bet hence the voters…

  12. Why is the @name (if you start typing a name then hit tab it does not autocomplete the name anymore or show a list of names)? Having to typeout the name for @name or !so @name seems to revert back to the old days. Did you delete the coding on accident? As a mod for a few channels that is quite annoying. Can we fix this please?

  13. twitch chat does not correctly handle URLs containing an asterisk. it chops the link off as soon as it encounters the asterisk.

    e.g. posting this link:
    https://miro.medium.com/max/640/1*F1_GUG4BhZ1cd0miUWD2ZA.gif

in twitch chat incorrectly redirects users to:
    https://miro.medium.com/max/640/1*

    :(

  14. Allow the partner badge to be blocked/disabled by the streamer in their own chat so NO partner badges appear in their chat.

This can help with anxiety that may be caused by seeing this and not knowing the person or also block any passive advertising the partner may be doing/aiming for.

    so simply put:
The streamer should be able to remove the partner badge from their own chat altogether for all users chatting in that chat.

  15. Observed Behaviour:
    Given chat is enabled,
and given the browser window is less than 920 pixels wide,
and given the browser window is more than 786 pixels high,
when a user enables theatre mode,
then chat is shown below the stream,
and then there is no button to hide chat.

    Expected Behaviour:
Given there is enough space vertically (currently 170px in addition to the stream player),
then there is a button to show/hide chat.

  17. I have some Community Members for 3+ years now and sometimes I’d love to see their very first chat message just to see how it all began!
I would be so cool if we could have a jump to top feature to see their first chat messages!
Nostalgia, walk down memory lane. All those things. :)

  18. With the usage of third party emote integration it would be useful if this could be used in emote only mode. Some of our favourite streamers use emotes from third party plug-ins which can't be used in emote only mode. It would be nice if there was some from of extended emote only mode where white listed words can also be used which would tie in with the emotes from these plug-ins whether automatically detected or manually added by the broadcaster/mods

  19. Date observed: 5/5/2022

Twitch chat is causing memory leaks. I only observed this because I was watching a streamer with 100k+ viewers and my computer crashed with 32GB of memory with all other applications closed.

In Dev Tools on a Chromium browser:

    1. Select "Performance monitor" in Dev tools.
    2. Observe the JS heap size and the DOM nodes, they progressively increase as chats are sent.

    Another way to observe:

    1. select "Memory" tab in Dev tools.
    2. Use "Allocation instrumentation on timeline".
    3. Record and observe the memory allocation.

Note: tested on Edge and Google Chrome with all the extensions turned off.

  20. Polls are great, but the limited time scales hinders their usefulness.

An hour to choose what people want to see at the start of a stream would be great.

Multi-day/no limit polls would be good for questions you want a wider opinion of. Some viewers are only on at the weekend etc, easy to miss their opinion, forcing us to use external tools or discord (it would be preferable for us all to keep this interaction on twitch)
