Make all AI features optional, and opt-out by default.
For any features on Twitch which use AI, allow all creators to opt in or opt out of them individually, and set the default to Opt Out for all new AI features. We as creators should have the choice whether to use AI or not on our channels. If we do not want to use it at all, it's important for us to be able to have that choice, AND for us not to be opted in by default.

AI goes against all of my Christian beliefs, and I don't want it to use any of my streams for training.

As a streamer there is no amount of money you could offer me to opt into stealing my face and voice for your GenAI garbage. As a viewer, I will just take my subs off Twitch and send them directly to the streamers via other means. GenAI is not the future, it's destroying the planet for profit. Human lives and art matter more than GenAI. That's the whole point of streaming to begin with, to find community and other humans to connect with. Nobody wants this.

There will be an exodus of both viewers and creators if we are forced to take part in AI training. Viewers don't come to twitch for AI generated slop. Creators don't spend the time making good things in order to support AI generated slop. Viewers will watch something else somewhere else, and creators will stop sharing anything with twitch.

I would very much appreciate it if Twitch didn't use AI whatsoever. I will find another platform if I have to if my streams are going to be used to train LLMs.

It's bad enough that AI features are being shoved down our throats without asking, and every day we're being told we have to go through three new menus to opt out of invasive ********. At the very least, make this opt-in, or better yet don't do it at all!

Given the ongoing extreme backdraft against generative AI, it should be socially suicidal to even think about integrating it into streaming, especially without making universal opt-out the default.
I strongly insist on opting out being the default and all AI features being completely optional - artistry streams consider generative AI an insult to the form, and you can't create a gameplay experience without a quality soul, which generative AI doesn't have.

No, I do NOT want any of my content to be used for AI. It's already destroying jobs and majority don't want their data to train a robot. I cannot wait for the AI bubble to pop

How about just don't.

All AI features MUST be opt-out by default. To do otherwise is a direct attack on creators' control of their own work. Utterly unacceptable on both a moral and a legal level.

I know easily a dozen streamers, including many of my favourites, and some of which are Partners who average hundreds of average viewers, who would leave twitch the moment AI stuff is shoved onto the platform, ESPECIALLY if Twitch doesn't give us a way to opt out.
Also, Twitch is already struggling for money, it doesn't need to waste more on AI, an expensive and destructive technology that most of the userbase, both viewers and streamers, would be happier without.
And Twitch, if you really are hard set on AI data collection and stuff, I urge you to at least wait a couple months in case the AI bubble pops, which might already be in the process of happening, so that you don't cause an irreversible PR disaster for nothing.

GenAI is trash and has no place on twitch, you are wasting resources and trust from creators doing this garbage.

Generative AI is not it. If you plan on using it, it should be defaulted as opted-out. This way those few ppl who are ok with it can opt-in. A lot of twitch users are artists and I’m sure they would not like having their art stolen from them, nor would anyone who js wary of AI being used against want to be any part of this

Twitch. I, no, we need you to do us all a solid. Do NOT implement Generative AI onto the streams that steals from others without consent.
If that were to happen, Twitch is gonna lose not only the viewers, but streamers as well. Tell the Gen AI investors to get lost.

I would rather cancel my subs and pay the streamers directly through alternative methods, than in any way support GenAI.

I am horrid this is being considered at all and can guarantee that if this option is not AT LEAST made optional I will cease all streaming, subs, watching, and any use of Twitch. If you were at all decent you will make it opt-out by default and need to opt in to use rather than switching it on when no one is looking and hope we don’t notice you feckless cowards.

We know you're not blind or deaf to the vast majority that hate gen AI, so I really don't know what we're doing here. That said, while I would much rather have NO AI features on the platform, but if you want to force it, make it opt out by default. Literally no creative wants to have their work be fed to a machine just to have it regurgitate a lesser product with no soul. Y'all know better, so I don't know why we keep playing these games.

If they're looking into scraping stream content, I see no practical way this would work. Not just because of the creators' work, but everything else that goes into a stream.
What if someone is playing a video game? Is footage of the game going to be scraped? How about looking at official art and trailers from the latest movies or TV shows? What if someone's kid walks by in the background of the camera? Frankly it sounds like a liability nightmare.
