Generative AI does not help the average streamer in any way whatsoever. Streaming is a creative endeavor. GenAI's entire purpose at this point is to replace said creativity with regurgitated slop. If you implement this you WILL lose streamers. You WILL lose users. And most importantly to you, you WILL LOSE MONEY.
At bare minimum make genAI features optional and opt-out. Preferably do not implement these features AT ALL. For both your sake and the sake of your users. Otherwise you will lose money. That's not a threat. That's a fact.

Imagine seeing all of the blowback on AI by content creators and games and how much money they've lost, then saying out loud and with your whole chest, "Yeah, I think I want to do that to my company." How hilariously tone deaf and out of touch the executives are with the community upon whose backs they're trampling.

Even better: Do not add ANY AI features, opt in or otherwise! I do not want them on the platform at all!

We do not want AI to scan our channels. We don't it at all.

Any AI features or initiatives to train generative AI should only ever be opt-in. Companies using our work to train their models against our will is a disgusting violation of community trust and an ultimately self-defeating idea. Moving forward with attempts to force it on users will prove to be the undoing of the entire platform, as has been proven time and time again by various analogues in other spheres of social media and media production.

Streaming will continue with or without you, Twitch. The ball's in your court on that one. Are you going to be a crash-and-burn money pit that loses the respect of the entire global community or are you going to push past this and realign yourselves with the wishes of the people you provide service to?

I would sooner delete my entire channel than let you train on my identity, my look, my voice, and my personality. You already take streamers' revenue from our entertainment value and to think you could steal our identities as well?

If you go through with this, it must be turned off by default. It must be explicit in what it's stealing from people when they opt in. And anything you gain from it here to be shared with the person you've been stealing from to train your data.

Do not do this. The average streamer doesn't want this. No one wants it for free. No one wants to opt out, it should be opt in with some incentive... but it should actually not be done at all. Sadly, whoever has to field this probably agrees and has to see people be mad about this but for many this is our main THING and we would like to continue to do it without being complicit in generative AI usage on top of free labor. Tell whoever you answer to that we would like them to do better, please.

Opt out must be turned on by default. Having opt-in turned on by default is predatory and will affect non-tech savvy users.

I refuse to knowingly use GenAI ever. Many artists (who create things for streamers) also have "No GenAI" clauses in their TOS. Stop forcing the water guzzling, environment destroying, plagiarism pattern-matching machine onto us. It has no place here.

I will move my streaming to another platform permanently if this becomes something that we cannot entirely opt out of, or better yet, never be opted into in the first place. Generative AI is an abomination that I want no part of, ever.

If I am forced to use AI in any way, I don't know how I'm going to do it but I *will* be terminating all my Twitch subs and I *will* find a new platform to stream on. Absolutely not.
