  1. Currently the Raid Channel button on the Creator Dashboard only lists live channels that the streamer is following. This is just helping to make the large channels larger and gain more viewers/followers, while smaller channels with not as many followers get left behind. There should be an option for small streamers (say, about 50 or less concurrent viewers) to "opt in" for discovery so they have a chance to be listed as a "suggested streamer" when a streamer clicks that Raid Channel button.

Just going to note this here, too: About 90% of the streamers I follow and whose content…

  2. We all use autohost, raiding and manual hosting sometimes. Its labor intensive & tireing though. One has to devote time to find a stream to drop viewers into. On top of inconvinience of that process... there is corruption going on in certain communities. People are retaining viewers by hosting their group of friends only, so these viewers are never exposed to anything new.

My idea is to automate the process of raiding, to disperse thousends of viewers watching huge streamer, by sending them to zero-viewer channels from same game cathegory.. or to the ones having simmilar cathegories history. By doing…

  4. Raids at any point during a stream can significantly alter the statistics for that stream over time, and changes the meaning of those statistics. As such they ought to be represented on the graph on the Stream Summary page.

For example, the bar representing the 5 min chunk where a raid occurred should be a different color than the rest, and hovering over it, which now brings up "Average Viewers: #" should also include "Raid (username): #"

  5. Add the ability to filter criteria like stream language, stream category (game) and a viewer range to then click "Raid Random" and raid a random streamer matching these criteria. Therefore streamers can raid small streamers without needing to decide on who to raid and without needing to check the online streams list.

  6. When choosing to raid a channel at the end of a stream, the button gives a pop out of channels I follow as options to raid, or enter a username.

As I've recently joined a stream team, it would be nice to have another tab in the raid popout for Stream Team members, instead of just channels I follow.

As mentioned in another suggestion, it would also be nice to then have a third tab of players streaming the same game we were.

  7. Give an option to flag your twitch that you're ending soon and wish not to be the target of a raid. Often times I see streamers get raided close to when they would be ending and are put in a position to have to either a) stream longer than they wanted to or b) be overly apologetic out of guilt, especially if it was a sizable raid. I think it would make a nice feature for the creator dashboard quick actions.

  8. Back at the end of September 2018, Twitch REMOVED the ability for a broadcaster to press "RAID NOW" from chat when the broadcaster wasn't the one who started the Raid, this was complained about, as there were a number such as myself who use Bots to start off the Raids,

Twitch "Fixed" this with the new Raid & Hosts panel that was launched shortly after in the Dashboard....

Now the Dashboard is changing, and there is no longer a Raid & Hosts Panel only a Raid Option (Nothing to indicate an in progress Raid), this is now a Problem AGAIN

  9. Maybe by using the raid channel/Host a channel buttons we can have a tab where we have the CHOICE to raid people from our follower list AND a tab to choose from people that are streaming the same category as us that we don't necessarily follow.

This way we can host other viewers that are streaming the same thing as us and reach out to communities of the same size.

If we can only host/raid people we follow, the potential for growth stagnates.

  10. When raiding/hosting a channel, the list of channels you follow should have a scroll option again. It currently only shows people you follow with the top 5 most viewers.

I used to be able to scroll down and choose smaller streamers to host but that isn't possible anymore for some reason.

  11. I love the new dashboard, BUT I need to see the channel I want to raid AFTER the raid.

Raided channels and their viewers interact and say thank you, I need to see that after the raid to say hi and such

  12. When ending stream and raiding another streamer, let us suggest or adjust the volume for everyone joined in the raid. I'd love to be able to raid and set everyone's volume to like 10% on the stream we visit. If they are awake, they can adjust it back themselves. If they are asleep, they won't be disturbed. (Maybe don't let the volume adjust take effect if the viewer has the stream muted already).

  13. When starting a raid, it is useful to join the raid so that the streamer can interact with the raided streamer and chat room.

  14. Allow us to click on the name of who we're currently hosting so that we can easily go to their channel from our stream manager.

  15. Having a random floating bar is very intrusive. The currently hosted channel should be shown in activity (or somewhere, anyway, maybe a dedicated panel) instead.

  16. I think this kind of feature would be really interesting and exciting for viewers and streamers. Streamers could press a button to split their viewers to groups of for example 100 people and raid random channels in chosen category or all over twitch. With big streamers getting tens of thousands of viewers, this would mean a lot of small streams would get exposure from this feature. I have noticed chat gets really excited when raids happen, in both the raided and raider channel. This kind of random twist would make it even more exciting and fun!

  17. Before raiding someone, it could show a video created by the broadcaster to introduce themselves to the audience. Whether it's a personal greeting, highlight reel, etc. The Streamer can have this video automatically play after the raid timer stops.
Of course with this functionality you should be able to make an option to ask the streamer if they want to show this intro video or not before a raid as well.

  18. To create a command ( with toggle on/off) for streamer to use on their channel to prevent incoming host when about to end stream. I'm sure streamers have encountered getting hosted when they're about to end stream and sometimes you host someone whose stream has just ended. Suggesting that when the streamer toggle on this command (Eg. /endingon) , people who attempt to host the stream will get a pop up saying " the channel you're attempting to host is ending soon. Do you still want to host this channel ? " The command should also have a timer of…

  19. The new /raid feature is great for channel networking as hosting has always been, but both can be problematic for many viewers. It would be convenient for the User Settings page to be updated with a set of opt out settings for both raids and hosts. If a user opts out of raids, they will be considered to automatically click "Leave" at the end of any raid countdown timer. If they opt out of hosts, hosted channels will not load unless the viewer intentionally presses the "Play" button.

Raids and Hosting present problems for:

    1) Temporarily AFK viewers during the…

  20. if a channel host raids another channel it will switch your url which will delete chat history as well some channels have "This room is in 10 minutes followers-only mode." so some raiders can't raid

1 having the option of turning off raids for a certain channel your in so you don't get auto switched or turning it off completely for all raids because maybe you like switching to a different channel then join a raid.
