Twitch broadcasters lack dedicated producers for this purpose, and the current algorithms that automatically deliver ads account for at most the time since the last ads a user watched. ads I've noticed when some ads play they take over the screen and the stream is moved to be above the chat until the ad ends. I think this should be reversed. Ads should take up that space above chat and then disappear; or, perhaps, they appear in the corner of the stream. If this were done, of course, ads would likely have be silent -- and I doubt any user would be against that.

Discoverability through Ads If you want people to run ads, give them a reason to WANT to run ads. The hardest thing to do on Twitch is get discovered. Allow people to be higher up, or at the top of, a directory for a certain amount of time whenever they run an ad on their stream. Cap it out so you can't do it all day.
People will run ads for discoverability AND they'll have a chance to grow.

twitch premium/twitch plus for different monthly rates users can get a monthly "ration" of subs and bits at a discount and are opted out of ads in a "the more you buy the more you save" and "use it or lose it" model. It should also expand upon the "sub tokens" model so people can use them towards different sub tiers.

Select Add Type. Instead of pre-roll, mid-roll, or whatever adds, add a feature where the user can choose if they prefer adds right when they join the stream, throughout the stream, or after the stream(and before watching anything else).

Ads solution!!! We know ads suck but it's what allows free content..so the problem is that it's always the wrong time for ads, Especially when its down to the end of the game and we miss the Fing last battle because some ad pops up. Allow interactive playable-ads in pre-roll ads and in-stream ad breaks So just like Facebook and WeChat allow a preview of games and ads that involve interactivity, perhaps Twitch can include support for playable ads in pre-roll ads or in-stream ad breaks.

i think that you should be able to time ads I think content creators should be able automatically run ads every 15 mins or however often and how long for so there is less need to have your stream manager open

Please don't block the video stream with Ads In the middle of watching someone's exciting steam, an ad pops up covering the entire video while chat continues. Chat is then going crazy because something awesome just happened, yet we were unable to see it because an ad was covering the video stream. What a disappointment.
Make the ad go into a corner with sound or something, but please do not block the whole image. That's the reason why we are here, to watch the steamers. You want the ads for monetary gain, fine, but find a happy medium where you don't disappoint your customers. Badly placed ads drive…

Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Allow Skippable Ads Most of ads should be skippable. Your site is a live streaming platform, you cannot force people to watch ads while they were watching something else that they will completely miss because of ads. Same concept goes for the first AD you are forced to watch as soon as you open one live stream. If im forced to watch something without any possibility to skip unless i close the whole page, i will 100% start hating on the promoted product just beause it is disturbing my plans.

Delay ads during a channel raid or host Currently every time I participate in a raid an ad plays immediately after the new stream starts, and it never ends in time to see the raided channel's reaction. This has caused me to just leave a raid in most cases since I can see everyone having fun in chat, but I'm stuck in an ad for the next 15-20 seconds.
It would be nice to have a bit of a delay on the initial ad so that the whole raiding party can participate.
