Banned and Blocked users only see ads If you have blocked or banned someone from your channel, when they come to your channel they no longer can watch the stream. They see nothing but an endless ad roll. They click on a VOD? You can watch it, after these ads. But then the ads never end.
Not to effect timedout users.
Please. Thank you. I love you.

Rework the Ad Incentive Program Currently, the Ad Incentive Program presents you three offers every month. It's on a take it or leave it basis. I find there is a big issue with this though. The amount of money you are offered is fine. The amount of hours you are required to stream for a month is fine. The thing that doesn't make sense is the amount of minutes of ads per hour you are required to run.
I have received offers in two months now where the lowest ads per hour requirement was 4 minutes, and I have even seen some people with their…

Have a button that allows the viewer to execute the ad break. Ads are a serious issue. Especially when watching a stream and an ad hits at a crucial moment. To correct this, allow the viewer to choose when the ad hits. Maybe there's a break in the action or maybe the viewer needs to go to the bathroom. Have a button that allows the viewer to execute the ad break. Then allow the stream to go for 30-60 minutes. If they don't execute, then the ad runs on the timer as usual. This way, not only will the viewer be more incline to watch the stream, but they will be more…

Show total ad time left instead of or in addition to the number of ads left. When a streamer runs a block of ads, we select the amount of time we want the ads to run for, and that can be anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes. However when we do that, all the viewer sees is the number of ads left, not the total time left. Since ads vary in length, that doesn't actually tell them how long until they're over.
Speaking for myself, it's pretty much a daily occurance to have someone post a message like "8 ads??" in my chat. And sometimes that number can be in the double digits. If viewers…

Reduce the greed on Ads I formulated the title drastically because it‘s a serious problem lately happening on Twitch and don’t see that getting addressed from them, at least not in the level as it should.
I said it several times on social media and i also say it here: Twitch is ruining their ads business, constantly and -seems like- willingly:
- The sheer amount of ads which you face as a viewer of the platform is simply ridiculous
- You‘ve guys taken the control of the ads out of the hands of the content creators
- You implement changes to the ad system without…1,627 votes -
Give viewers the option of when to view ads To prevent viewers being in a situation where they miss live stream content, give users an option to "View ads now instead of on the regular timer schedule", which would then reset the timer. Yes you have to view more ads, but you then are guaranteed ad-free content for the next X amount of time (whatever the current timer is set at for running ads).
i.e. Watching a speedrun, on PB pace, 20 minutes left in the stream, but there's an ad in 15 min. I really don't want to miss the end! I'll just play an ad now, deal…

Return to displaying length of ad breaks The app used to display the length and number of ads still to come in an ad break. I would tolerate some smaller ad breaks (1-3 ads), but switch channels for the longer breaks (6-9 ads) because it's not worth the time and frustration to miss out on that much of a stream. Now that the ad length is not displayed, I'm guaranteed to switch channels when mid-roll ads play since there's no telling when I'll get back to the stream. Please go back to displaying remaining ad time

Find a midway for adds, dont forcefeed them to us unexpectedly, worse than TV as it is now, adds are force fed to us. they come up unexpected, and loud. its worse than TV, and i am THIS close to installing an addblocker. ive seen many folks online for years talking about addblocker. i never took one, to support my fav streamers. but you now implemented adds, beyond the streamers choice. the viewing expierence has dropped, and i will not take it much longer. be rude to us, i draw the line and install addblocker so i can enjoy my expierence.

Give users more control on seeing ads! When the streamer manually starts an ad, then fine, let the ad run immediately (as the streamer is timing it with their content and are aware people can't hear)
But when it comes to auto ads...
Pop up in chat for viewers that you have an ad for viewing, and you have like 5 minutes to trigger it when it suits you, the viewer. For example letting the streamer finish their sentence or their round or race, then start the ad when it fits the viewing.Full screen, muting the stream. But less obtrusive when the user can choose when…

Advertising changes Hello, can you add popup little ads in the corner from xsplit or OBS not from site when twitch show ad on live we want just turn off stream or turn on adblock but twitch can do ads inside the video stream, yes that's ads be unskippable but this ads don't block stream and show the product. Sorry but this is better, obs or twitch can do ads market where all companies can sell ads directly to the streamer with a small commission for twitch or obs and this ads be 100% better cuz streamer can turn it off or…

Pause stream when ads rolls, and run at increase speed until you catch up. Add the option to instead of just cutting away the part of the stream that continue to run even when an ad interrupts it, the stream is paused at the same moment the ads start. Then when the ad ends, you continue where you left off, but the VOD is speed up by an amount you select, e.g. x2 until you catch up to the live stream, at which point you go back to the live stream.
Another option that would be nice if some full screen ads with audio was traded for silent banner ads, and that you get…

a button to watch ad whenever I want If I can choose to watch ads between my streamer's matches, I'd watch way more add than I do currently (add captcha to avoid bots) and not miss any of the action.
Also, if I watch more than X ads per hour, I get to watch them without audio and with streamer audio, so I still have a small streamer window with its audio. Twitch'd make more money and viewers wouldn't be angry whenever something worth watching is happening and the ads ruin their experience.2 votes -
Allow viewer to be subscribed after watching enough ads. I think that would be a good idea to reward a viewer after watching enough ads.
I often leave a stream because there are too much ads and it's frustrating. So we could give for each viewer a "contribution wallet" that fills while watching ads, then after we reach a certain amount, we can sub on that specific channel using the time spent watching ads.
No need to see a value like money/time generated, it could be a progress bar with a % and when we reach 100% we can "sub for free".
For example, let's say I am watching…

Give viewers an option to watch or start an ad in a certain timeframe, with a timeframe of 60 seconds Maybe give viewers an option to watch or start an ad in a certain timeframe, with a timeframe of 60 seconds or 2 minutes where they'll get forced to watch it anyway if they haven't chosen to watch it before this.
This will enable viewers to finish a conversation/wait for a response before being put in an ad slot.1 vote -
Disable ads for all moderators This is a huge issue. Ads severely limit how effective we can do our jobs as mods because we can’t hear or see the streamer in a lot of cases so we lack the ability to communicate, especially when it’s a large group of ads. So Twitch, please disable ads for channel mods.

I think a really good idea would be to make subscriptions make that specific channel ad-free. It would really cool to add a feature where a viewer can subscribe to a creator and get various benefits with one being an ad-free experience. And make it work properly. Otherwise what is the point of subscribing to our favorite creators?

Automatically add a tag for streams with prerolls disabled Having an automatically added tag for any stream with pre-rolls currently disabled (through automatic ads or with the new automatic ads) would help drive discoverability towards those using this feature.
I feel it would also encourage more streamers to use the ads appropriately during low activity moments or when they take a break from the stream, thus also increasing revenue.
By having it as a tag that will be automatically added (and removed) it's easy to filter for streams that have the tag within a category. From conversations with my viewers, they would definitely be more willing to check out…

Ads for Roles: Make it so Broadcasters can give Ads to certain roles and or Vice Versa. Like I can make it so Followers, Viewers and Regulars can get ads BUT I can set it as VIP, Mods and the Broadcaster of their own Stream wont get ads.

twitch seeks out brand deals for creators instead of running a bajillion ads why doesn't twitch implement some kinda program where twitch seeks out brand deals for streamers (creator decides what deals they want to do and can say no to a deal) and takes a cut from that instead of running the invasive ads. higher payout that way. obviously people gonna take those for big payouts too even though they could just go through their own manager for those. just a free deal on behalf of the platform. everyone is happy and gets paid.
