These new ads that adjust the screen scaling are way to intrusive. I would so, so much rather them cover up a portion of the screen. It's very jarring having the viewing screen change size during a stream. I'd much rather the ad just cover a portion of the screen.

Ads should be able to be played, so I don't get locked out of watching a streamer. I don't think this is the correct place to post the bug, but on firefox I have had an issue trying to watch a streamer where you will serve me an ad and then refuse to let the ad play. Thus I am locked out of the stream because it repeatedly serves another ad that doesn't play if I hit refresh. I hear that advertisers prefer their ads to be played too.

Snyders Pretzel The Snyder's pretzel ad starts off with some sort of error noise and a connection lost, when it's played it confuses me and makes me think the error is on my side. It's a really inappropriate way for an ad to try to grab your attention

Twitch adds a way to gain a free sub by watching ads monthly If a user watches 1000 30 second ads in a month, they would be able to redeem a free sub, and the user can add upmost 50 ads per day to that ad count and those ads need to count as 30 second ads. Or they could also do a seconds system. 10000 seconds in a month and get a free sub

ENO from CapitalOne Ad for Twitch Rivals Entices Pay-to-Win The ENO from CapitalOne advertisement regularly shown on Twitch is an enticement for viewers towards acceptance of in-game gambling/progression-based pay-to-win mechanics.
Characters in the advertisement saying "This is the 10th time I've climbed those steps today" and then the human in the advertisement purchasing a $49.99 booster to progress past a difficult encounter is not acceptable.
Showing consumers that it's okay to pay $49.99 to get past a difficult section of the game should be considered as acceptance of in-game gambling and pay-to-win based mechanical game design.

Little Sia ad. Please, PLEASE! Stop the little Sia ads or lessen the air time of them. I do not mind watching ads, but 90% of the ads I see are for little Sia. I have nothing against her, I'm sure she is awesome.

Stop running cell phone ads that means removong humans from the banks I don't have a cell phone the 2 cell phone banking ads that look like there set in the 80's will help hackers down the road, & it mean bank tellers be fired if its pushed. when a user select low quality stream, do not display HD ads ... all is in the title. ad quality should be the same as the stream quality.

Advertisements on some streams loop Ads loop, often 5+ times (especially on /cristianes2), appear almost immediately after starting the stream. Also if the stream is manually paused at some point (even if not during an ad), unpausing too often results in an ad within a minute or two.
There are other streams on which I get no ads.
(Also the same ad should never been played twice in succession, surely, as it just encourages people to be angry at the advertiser)5 votes -
Preferred/Disliked ad categories I would really like it if ads were categorized based on content; I love seeing ads for things like pizza and restaurants, but I HATE having to sit through an unskippable ad for a horror movie/show. If ads were categorized, there could be a section in Twitch options where I could move different tags into "show me more" and "show me less" status based on what I do or don't want to see.

Please don't run ads at source quality as some of us have low bandwidth. This can also be a problem if we already have another stream running as it will pause/buffer due to the bandwidth being sucked up by the ad.
