  2. When you report an ad, maybe like saying "this isn't relevant to my interests" Stop playing it nonstop after that. Seems like a easy idea and i shouldn't have to suggest it, but your feedback is just a waste of time (At least it certainly feels like it). If I select playback issue and select "this advertisement is not relevant to my interests) (REF: Doordash) then it should play less like on Twitter/X. What is the problem here at Twitch? Seems like you have the technology, Twitter does, and it works, so Twitch should and so you can reasonably determine…

  3. Today (August 17th) a new feature has apparently rolled out because I have not experienced this before. While watching TeePee, I was keeping my volume on Twitch around 10% as I was doing some other work. When he put his Ad-Roll on (which I don't have a problem with), I was instead BLASTED by Ads sounds overriding the Twitch volume control. I was able to reset it back down, but each subsequent ad turned the volume RIGHT BACK UP.

This is completely unacceptable and forced me to turn off the stream. So if driving away viewers is the goal, then…

  4. Pretty simple idea. Anyone with the editor role in your channel is probably doing a lot of good work for the broadcaster, more likely than not, free of charge for the vast majority of users. Someone who is contributing to the stream shouldn't be forced to financially support the stream to be able to view the content they are potentially going to be editing later, or responding live to assist with running the stream. The should not need to subscribe.

Partners do get the ability to hand out very limited lifelong sub slots, but that doesn't really cover this purpose,…

  5. As a moderator for multiple channels on Twitch, I've encountered challenges in effectively managing streams while also dealing with ads. Many moderators, like myself, contribute their time and effort to support streamers without financial compensation. However, the current ad experience can disrupt our ability to efficiently moderate chats, respond to viewer inquiries, and tackle issues such as hate raids promptly.

Therefore, I propose the implementation of a Moderator Ad Exemption System, which would allow streamers to designate certain moderators to be exempt from ads during their streams. Here's how it could work:

    • Initial Exemption: Each streamer would receive one initial…

  6. :( Either don't let horror movie ads on the platform or let people block them! When I'm watching a cozy stream before bed and suddenly get greeted with an ad of people SCREAMING and all kinds of blood and gore it's AWFUL and it makes me want to stop watching completely! I've had this experience tons of times, but today it was the Immaculate movie ad.

  7. Just a huge idea regarding an extreme annoyance. When I am watching a Twitch video on a channel I am not subscribed to, upon pausing the video I then click play/resume and a new set of Ads appears, even if I just paused the video only a minute ago and just finished a round of Ads. What is this??? This is a bit ridiculous. Does Twitch not have the technology to know that I just watched Ads only a minute ago when I paused the video?

For example, I am watching a gaming channel where I write down strategies, and…

  8. The Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation Act (H.R. 1084/S. 2847) (CALM Act) requires the U.S. Federal Communications Commission to bar the audio of TV commercials from being broadcast louder than the TV program material they accompany by requiring all "multichannel video programming" distributors to implement the "Techniques for Establishing and Maintaining Audio Loudness for Digital Television" issued by the international industry group Advanced Television Systems Committee.[1][2] The final bill was passed on September 29, 2010.[3] (Sick of being woke up watching a relaxing stream, by some unwanted law breaking obnoxious ad about nothing I care about!.)

  10. I am really sick of how twitch doesn't care about it's viewers. Every time i visit a channel and watch a streamer for a while then post a question in chat, every single time a 3 minute ad then immediately begins. there is no way to go back in time to see if streamer answers the question. the really disrespectful situation that often occurs is when you donate bits with a message or donate to the streamer and a 3 minute ad starts. on youtube we can scroll back on a live stream to catch what we miss and we…

  11. If I see the number of Ads be 4 or more in a row on any stream, REGARDLESS of how long they are, I am closing the app.

If I am waiting more than 3-5 mins for ads to complete, I will also close the app.

I know Twitch needs its money to run and be profitable, but several ads running 10+ minutes is not it. People will not sit through it. They will just leave.

Find a way to balance the number of ads and time spent watching them, so people will engage the site for longer. Break up…

  12. So instead of loud ads aimed at more extroverted individuals, allow or strike a deal with companies that create asmr-appropriate ads as they are becoming more commonplace. This would help all parties involved, companies can still profit, streamers won't have to feel guilty for ads that ruin the introverted experience of asmr, and viewers won't have to be rudely awakened from they meditative state with whispered or quiet-spoken ads. It's a win win win win if you are interested in that sort of thing. please and thank you ^.^

  14. If a broadcast is tagged for ASMR, myself and many others believe that ad volume should be synced to the broadcast volume (or a standard low volume) as to not jump scare viewers. As a viewer and streamer, it is extremely off putting and a major deterrent. There has to be a way to fix this.

  15. Why when I want to check out a new stream or something interesting I see on the front page, am I greeted with at least 30sec of ads if not more. This generally makes me just close the window or go to a different channel. This is very counterintuitive to growth of really any streamer. I know I can't be the only one out there who does this as well.

  16. On the positive side, Turbo subscription is a great idea. Especially now that you have so many "always on" channels. However, $15.99 is just too much. Lower this to $9.99/mo, maybe with a yearly contract and you'd have me signing up.

  17. There is an issue where an ad will play and no audio for the ad is present- either from the following

    1. The audio for the ad isn't played til the next ad starts
    2. audio doesnt play at all until the ads are over

which after either of these finish the audio to the stream is out of sync / delayed to the point that you have to refresh the stream. Guess what happens next..

    1. Rewatch the same ads you just watched just before the issue happened
    2. Watch new ads that make the audio for the stream de-sync again

    hope you…

  18. The Doordash (AU) Ad and Colgate gate Ads start off (and remain) so loud it actual hurts my ears and I have mute it. I don't mind it running, but does it have to be THAT Loud. (It's not just in comparison to 1 quiet stream, it's loud compared to every stream I watch)

  20. I like the idea of audio ads because i can still watch the streamer gaming or doing whatever, but they seriously need to be turned down. It says that Audio Ads will match the volume of the stream. That is entirely false. Every time i have gotten an Audio Ad it is significantly louder than the stream volume i have the stream I'm watching set to. Love the Idea, but they need to actually match the stream volume in order for me to be 100% on board with the idea.
