Ads Regenerate Every time I pause/resume unsubscribed Twitch Channel!!
Just a huge idea regarding an extreme annoyance. When I am watching a Twitch video on a channel I am not subscribed to, upon pausing the video I then click play/resume and a new set of Ads appears, even if I just paused the video only a minute ago and just finished a round of Ads. What is this??? This is a bit ridiculous. Does Twitch not have the technology to know that I just watched Ads only a minute ago when I paused the video?
For example, I am watching a gaming channel where I write down strategies, and I have to pause the video to take notes. EVERY TIME I pause, I get hit with Ads when I click Play.
Come on Twitch Team, do Ads really need to be this out of control? You've go to be smart enough to create an algorithm that knows that I just got hit with 3 minutes of Ads only a minute before.

This is exactly why people use ad blockers. Forcing ads on every new channel clicked on. I don;t want to open 4 channels and watch 15 minutes of ads before i can see if I even like the streams I clicked on. Ads are getting out of hand...

I have always watched Twitch when doing homework and whenever I pause for literally 30 seconds to think, I get another set of ads. I swear I am watching more ads than stream at this point.

This is super annoying, even going back a few seconds does this.

This is incredibly frustrating and really makes me want to use another site than twitch. Really hope this gets fixed.

I wouldn't mind as much if it was just a single 10-second ad or something, but it's usually 2 or even 3 ads of 20-30 seconds, that's a lot to sit through just for pausing a video for a few seconds.

Good morning!
Could someone explain to me why when I pause the recorded transmissions, regardless of how many times and what is the interval between the pauses. Advertising will ALWAYS regenerate, this is very strange, even disrespectful! If I pause the video 5 times in 1 minute, I'll get 5 ad rounds. This is disrespectful to everyone who uses the platform and receives nothing in return.

Stop/start VOD = ads start again
While watching Twitch's own "Patch Notes" VOD about Monetization I would need to pause the VOD to take care of IRL things like family, phone calls, etc.
EVERY time I resume the VOD it would then play another batch of ads. Even if I just paused it a couple of minutes earlier and watched a bunch of ads.
Please fix this. At least YouTube can sense how long ago you saw an ad and then prevent it from playing right after. This is broken.

Or when you have to refresh because twitchs servers or whatever are ****, only to come back to ads.

I've literally been watching 1 show on here and I can barely stand it. It's a card game tournament for Eternal and sometimes I pause it to see what the card does and read the text...probably a common thing for people to do. Well twitch triggers a new #*%&ing ad series (which can be up to a few minutes) every time you pause and unpause it EVEN IF YOU JUST WATCHED AN AD LESSS THAN 30 SECONDS AGO!! I'm struggling to finish this 5.5 hour tournament on Twitch because the platform ad set-up is so poorly thought out. I will be watching any and all content I can on Youtube or some other venue if at all possible. Please think your ad stuff through guys and modify it to make it be less annoying and actually make sense based on what people are doing on your platform.

The amount of ads getting served while watching vods on twitch is honestly well into the "bug" category. I launch a vod, get served 3 ads. If I pause the stream at all and unpause it, I get three more ads, even if the last three JUST finished. If I mute the video player or switch my browser to a different tab during the ad, it instantly serves three new ads as soon as the ones I was avoiding watching finish. This is literally from a Black MIrror episode and it's not ok. I watch vods while doing other work and I have to pause frequently and this makes the site totally unusable.

Still happening. I’m guessing this “bug” is a feature to increase profits.

Sometimes after an ad plays I pause the stream and press play again to remove any delay caused by the ad, but if I do it too quick, the same ad plays again a second time. Very annoying and I can't believe this has not been fixed yet since the "ad features" has been getting a lot of updates.

I'm unable to point out what exactly causes the bug, but sometimes normally briefly after an ad if I pause and play the stream, the bug happens, after I click play the same ad( in my experience it has been the same) repeats. So what happens is after an said ad is played in a window of time that I don't know exactly if i pause and unpause the stream I will get the same ad played.
I'm using brave browser. -

Cannot find an option to submit this bug via support tickets. Twitch desktop website: there is a bug when you click on a live video. Twitch force-shows a 30 second ad before you can view the stream. Once the ad finishes playing, the stream is paused so you press play to start the stream, then THE SAME 30 SECOND AD PLAYS AGAIN. When that ad finishes, the stream is paused so you press play to start the stream, then THE SAME 30 SECOND AD PLAYS AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME. So I have been forced to watch 90 seconds of ads before I even get to the stream.

So I was watching several channel by now, and I watched the ad that shows when I visit the channel. And then I tried to pause then start the stream to remove the delay after the ad and it gives me another ad not even 10 seconds after I watch the previous ad. It happened on Android app and website. I seriously just want to remove the delay especially on Android app.
