There is a problem for years with any other TWITCH STREAMER especially who are AFFILIATES that they want a USERNAME of their choice but its been taken and used already by any other viewer who is not a streamer or anything. So, to solve this problem here is an idea and I know we all want this. So the idea is that when somebody SIGNUP on TWITCH they will get a RANDOM USERNAME including of random numbers and random alphabets generated by TWITCH. They are normal account and they can do anything like STREAM or WATCH other STREAMERS but they just have random username and if they STREAM, once they get AFFILIATE then they will have the OPTION to have their own CUSTOM USERNAME of their choosing or liking and this thing also implies on EXISTING ACCOUNTS that are NOT AFFILIATES. This can solve the username not available problem for AFFILIATE STREAMERS. and the VIEWERS who just WATCH other streamers DON'T need a CUSTOM USERNAME because they don't need any kind of visibility or exposure they are on twitch just to watch but a STREAMER who is AFFILIATE need exposure and visibility and a CUSTOM USERNAME of their choice. So please TWITCH make this happen and its a problem for many years and many AFFILIATE STREAMERS are facing this issue including me and all of this suggestion or idea I think is the thing we all need and its a valid idea and I love to hear on this from you guys please TWITCH make this happen. Hi, my name is Joaquin an im a user of Twitch by web site, iPhone app and a Android TV app. My problem is when i get out some days from Android TV, my session expires, so when i try to login again, a message showsn that i have to enter in a website and activate de code on screen, but i dont have a pc nearby which i was log in to activate the code... and i dont have log in on iphone web browsers neither. So, it could be fixed by extendind Android TV session as lons as iPhone app session (infinite) or well provide a option on iPhone app whitch allow to scan a QR code in the AndroidTV app show. It will be so much easer to login in AndroidTV with my iPhone app account in a safe way. I believe you have to reach with the developing sofware team. If any part of this message doesn’t undestend, im able to be contacted by mail or skype to explan better to a sofware engeering or a product designer... i hope that new feature to log in safer and easily soon. Reduce the amount of cooldown after a name change, I have had to wait for 6+ months to get my name changed after I accidentally changed my name. I didn't get a reply from support after 6 months either, so I had to wait it out.
Even when you change your name you might not even be able to get the name back, which is ridiculous in my opinion. Having to wait 6+ months to get your name back and yet not be able to get it is something that needs to be changed when I accidentally changed my name the Twitch.tv website crashed at the time and that's why I had to refresh the site and then it was logged into the wrong account, so it changed my name on my main account and not my alt. Therefor stuff like this should be reduced so it won't happen to anyone again.

I am a long-time Prime member, and have been subscribing to the same channel every month. My request is to allow automatic renewal of the free channel subscription using Prime, rather than manually renewing month-to-month.

It's quite frustrating to be trying to watch something, realise the month is over and have to re-subscribe.. or even, thinking it is about to expire, but find out it's expiring in 1-2 days and you can't pre-emptively renew it. You also lose your streaks unless you manage to renew on the exact day.

Allow automatic renewal, or at least let us subscribe for N months, or lowest bar is send a notification that the subscription is about to expire.

Turbo Streamer Features

Twitch Turbo doesn't have much use for those with Twitch Prime to subscribe too. Essentially all features (except ad-free) are available with Twitch Prime. People that have Prime have no real use to subscribe to Turbo as well. There are a few possible feature ideas that could make the $9/mo Turbo subscription price worth subscribing too. Here are just a few ideas. Not all have to be implemented, but a couple of them would be greatly appreciated.

• Transcode Options
  For streamers who subscribe to Twitch Turbo, one benefit that many people would be very appreciative of would be having even just one single transcode guarunteed. Many streamers would find Turbo worth subscribing too if they got a single transcode in addition to Source. For example, if they're streaming at 1080p60, a 720p60 transcode would be nice, or if they stream at 72p60, a 480p60 transcode would be super useful. Viewers with slower internet would be more likely to be able to stick around, watch, and subscribe to streamers or donate bits. With the cost of Turbo being $9/mo, in addition to having more people be able to watch streams and spend money on Subscriptions and Bits, it would be a no-brainer for Twitch to add a single-transcode option.




• Channel Points Boost
  This would be a nice to have feature, but wouldn't be required. Twitch nerfed the boost to channel points for subscribers, which makes Tier 2 and 3 subs almost not worth subscribing too, since it would cost double or more just to get the same boost to Channel Points. Giving Turbo subscribers a global boost to channel points rates would be nice. It could be a like 1.5x boost. Then if they also subscribe to an individual channel, changing the Subscriber boost to an additional 0.5x at Tier 1 could give Twitch the income to keep the platform running, in addition to being able to get that 2x boost again.




• Channel Subscription
  Twitch Prime gives a free channel sub once-per-month, but some countries people can't get Amazon Prime, so that leaves them unable to get the free sub per month. Giving someone a single Tier 1 subscription on Turbo as well, would get more people to subscribe to Turbo. And if they have Prime as well, Amazon still gets the money from the Amazon Prime subscription, in addition to the Turbo subscription for the cost of 2 subscriptions per month. A win-win for both Amazon and the Twitch member!

Personally, I (Kenson) do not see much of a reason to subscribe to Turbo, but if even one of these extra features was added, I'd subscribe to Turbo in addition to Twitch Prime. Personally, I'd make the most use out of an single Transcode option for my streams. I like to stream 720p60, but I have 3-4 regulars that have slower internet and they get lots of buffering and are rarely able to watch the stream for more than like 20-30 minutes at a time before their internet craps out.

When you sign up for a new account you are asked to input a one time code through email.

Please implement the One Time Code for ALL, EXISITING & NEW accounts when logging in.

Context: I do not have an active cell phone, I live in an area that does not receive SMS Text for the login code, therefore I can't use Authy either. I've been trying to log back into my account for about 3 weeks at this point with help from friends, but to no avail it didn't work.

Conclusion: Please implement this into the login system, it would not only be a easy fix, but it would save a lot of headaches and frustrations, for people who are unable to use the current Authy system that is in place. I would recommend getting rid of the Authy 2FA and in place of it use OTP (Open Time Password/Code) via Email that the account is connected to when trying to login.

You do have a similar system already with NEW ACCOUNTS when signing up, HOWEVER! Not for accounts that already EXIST within the system. Please update it to this, it would be a lifesaver for those who don't have Cell Phone Service.

Written Under Secondary "Temporary Account"

The iOS app has this annoying habit of logging me out of the app seemingly at random, and with no input at all on any other device. This is very disruptive as I have 2FA set up on my account, and to log in I have to both provide my password and an auth code that may/may not be easy to get to depending on whether I have my auth code generator to hand.

The iOS app never used to randomly log out, so the question is why is it doing it now. I'm aware of the "30 days" feature but it'll often log out well before the 30 days are up.

I know you guys have been "working" on this, but the views not counting for small streamers is crippling. I'm currently trying to get Affiliate status and it feels like every single time I start making progress, your servers/algorithms ***** me over and knock me back down again. I have friends that watch regularly and it had been counting their views... now I'm about to breach 2.2 views and because the system is not counting their views, I'm going to get knocked back down below 2.1 again. It's very frustrating that your system isn't more reliable than this. I love the service, but can IT please fix this issue?

Our company would like to open up some opportunity for new up and coming artists and play their music on stream on twitch. All credit would be given to the artists while their music is playing.

We are an artist services company and would like to stream our playlist on Twitch but understand the current DMCA outlines and as it stands, it is currently not possible as this would be considered a "radio-like" stream. We'd like to make this work in any way possible as Twitch is a very important outlet for all creator and we think that these smaller artist deserve a space to be recognized as well. Could you please let us know what are our options?
