Revert username change
I am in agreement with people requesting a reduction on the time before you're able to change your username. Even if i have to wait 2 months before i can change it to something else, I've tested out my current username, as of posting this, and have discovered i hate it. If you could revert a user name change in the first 24 hours at least, even if i had to wait 2 months until i try again, it would solve a lot of people's problems with it. I also hate how there's no way of testing out a username without having to commit to it for 2 months to begin with.

I had a bug last night where my username update didn't save with the capitalization I requested. Presumably wont be able to change it for another 2 months. Because an update didn't save properly. And Twitch support has been less than helpful in addressing this. They just sent me the FAQ that I had read and called it a day.

I wish there was a way to revert a username within a certain time period of creating it. I changed my username to something that I thought would be funny but its actually cringe and I now dont want to be seen in chat with it. Surely there must be a way of achieving this.

There needs to be a way to revert back to your old username within 24 hours of making a new username. Having to wait 6 months for it to become available is absolutely insane. I changed my username recently and everyone hates it and wants me to go back to my old one. I have to wait 6 months and by the time I can change it everyone will know me by this username. Also would be nice if twitch support could change a person's username.

Deleting waiting for a new nickname change because it is pointless and someone may be indecisive and then regret it

I accidentally clicked through and updated my username to the wrong thing and now I have to wait 2 months to do what I wanted/undo it? Seems unnecessary.

Straight up, i made a post about the same thing earlier; almost every word is exact to your post but i didn't see yours until after i made it. Mine got closed bc i think there was another out there(this one haha) but i thought it was crazy how close our posts were in language used. Anyway, i am obviously in agreement; the username thing is utter nonsense. Blasphemy. Desecration. Sacrilege!

People should be able to change their username at any point in time. No matter the situation. I made a typo on mine and can’t even change it. And if there is a reason for this whole situation- at least make it to where you have an alotted amount of edits or you are allowed to edit for 24 hours. I mean, i can’t even correct my username until a month or so later. Thats ridiculous. I also think the layout of the entire website and app can do much much better. Especially with the popularity this website has, it should Be less of a headache. I do not mean any of these to be rude, i love twitch. 🫶🏼 But like. TwitchFix.

Make it to where a person has 14 days to to reverse their name change but still make them not able to change it again for 30-60 days this will help people who cannot contact customer support to help them with unauthorized name change, or for other reasons has a little bit of time to make sure they actually decided to do it.

If you change your username, you should have the option for the old username to become available for grabs instantly, instead of REQUIRING a 6 month wait for the name to become available. It can be useful if you need to swap usernames on accounts, so you don't have to wait half a YEAR just to do so.
