Issues with ads During the last week and a half, the ads on the ps5 app have been glitching out, and making the viewing experience considerably worse
When ads hit, I'm either getting black screens, an ad timer that shows hundreds of hours for ads, or other smaller issues. This is happening on multiple channels
I have to back out of the channel, starting the issue over again, as I have to either watch pre-rolls, or then watch in stream ads
Couple this with the app feeling incredibly old and outdated, it most definitely needs work

Add playback speed control to the PS5 app We really need a feature to change playback speed on the PS5 version of Twitch for watching VODs. Please implement this soon!

Clip Captions API Twitch already offers Get Clips and Get Clips Download. It would be great to have two additional endpoints:
Get Clip Captions: Retrieve existing captions and timestamps from a clip.
Get VOD Transcript Segment: Retrieve what was said at a specific VOD timestamp, including during a live stream when available.
Since Twitch is already introducing automatic clip captions, why not let broadcasters opt in to sharing that text with authorized apps?

720-1440p60fps on Xbox The issue is Native Live streaming at the max resolution possible on Xbox series consoles and resolution 1080p and a bitrate 6000kbps, it’s technically supposed to do 60 frames but it is locked at a lossy 30 frames per second. Which I also find kind of odd because live streaming at 1080p at 4000kbps isn’t lossy in bitrate quality.
As per conversations with both Microsoft and Xbox Support on X (formally known Twitter) from March 4th through March 11th 2024, the reason I originally reached out to them was to see if they would update the consoles to live stream…

Fix the settings button on streams When watching a stream on Xbox, for some reason the settings option will not open at all. So you are unable to change the quality or anything else unlike on mobile or pc. It is very annoying to have a vod and live streams constantly stuttering or audio bugging out because I’m forced to load at the highest quality.

Your site is not loading well lately Over the past few days, the Twitch site is slow to load. Today it won't load at all for me. Yes, I know to delete cookies, not have AdBlock and the usual steps. This is just another heads up from me that your site is slowing down on your end or something is going to break soon. Good luck tech team and thanks for the quick fixes.

Chat Box GLITCH The Chat Box on Xbox WON'T OPEN with a single push of a button. I have to hold down A button for several seconds and the chat box opens and closes so rapidly I just have to hope that when I release the button the chat box will remain open. IT'S BEEN LIKE THIS FOR YEARS NOW! WTF! NOW IT'S WORSE THAN BEFORE! SOMETIMES IT NEVER OPENS! The old Twitch App never did this, it's 2025 now, FIX YOUR FUING APP!!! Twitch is actually entertaining and you guys are FUING IT UP!!!

Twitch App for Nintendo Switch 2 With the retirement of the official Switch app last year, it is no longer possible to stream Twitch on the Nintendo Switch.
With the upcoming new generation of Nintendo hardware, I'd like to request the return of the app for this new platform.

Create an Amazon controller with a microphone and camera built into it it goes along with your new platform Build a controller specifically made by Amazon for your new Luna that would top any controller that PlayStation 5 for Xbox ever made that would have long last ability along with a great microphone to talk into with a mini camera built into it all in one because that has never been done. This controller would also be compatible with Bluetooth and be able to be linked to other devices as well.

Be able to use chat for typing and communicate straight from the consoles Be able to communicate, chat, and type on chat while using chat on all previous gen and current gen of gaming consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo). Also, be able to use the stickers, bits, etc.. while using Twitch app on gaming consoles.

Bring back Twitch app for Nintendo Switch and start including it for Nintendo Switch 2 Bring back Twitch app for Nintendo Switch console. They should start making one for Nintendo Switch 2 consoles.
They should also make the app to have this options for Nintendo Switch & Nintendo Switch 2:
Live Streaming straight from the consoles
Be able to use chat to type and communicate for live streaming and communicate as viewers
Creator Dashboard
Check Twitch achievements and stream summary
multi stream for other consoles

Update to allow steamers in 1440 to be viewable on consoles (PS4) - Downgrade it to 1080 Notwithstanding that the current PS4 twitch app was apparently designed by the intern and is slow as all eff and crashes a lot...but any chance ya'll could release a console app that doesn't just bork when trying to view a steamer who's streaming in 1440? Just downgrade that to 1080 please. Don't make it unviewable.

Capture Discord voice chat while streaming via the Xbox Twitch App While streaming, Make a setting for the Console streaming options to either capture Xbox Party Chat or Discord Voice Chat.
