1. Please make playbacks more stable and/or make recovering easier

   Regardless of the browser/app I'm watching twitch archive videos on, I'm keep getting errors (3000 decode error on pc, player going away on iOS app) where I need to reload the page to get back to where I was on. But when I reload the video, it forgets where I was and takes me back to the beginning of the video very very often.

   It's becoming a habit of me to hover my mouse cursor to remember the timestamp, reload the page, seek to the timestamp every five minutes or so.

   I know it's quite a hassle to deal with long videos such as twitch archives consistently, but it will be very very helpful if there were counter measures to these errors where I don't need to do the procedures above manually.

2. Twitch layout and chrome favorites bar : downscale blur

   When watching a 1080p stream on a 1080p display using Twitch in Google Chrome with the default view layout and the favorites bar visible of Chrome, the video is actually downscaled from 1920×1080 to 1340×751 — not 1340×754.
   This seemingly small difference makes the stream noticeably blurrier due to less optimal downscaling.

   By hiding Chrome’s favorites bar, the stream displays at 1340×754, which results in a much sharper image thanks to a more precise scaling ratio.

   On Firefox, because the favorites bar and top menu take up less vertical space, the stream is displayed at 1340×754 by default, resulting in better image quality without adjustments.

   I can provide screenshot examples showing how 1340×754 looks significantly sharper and clearer than 1340×751.

4. Make Twitch More Mobile-Friendly with Low-Data Modes （Twitchモバイルアプリに軽量通信モードを追加してほしい）

   Twitch is a fantastic platform for enjoying long streams of gaming and creative work.
   However, the current “audio-only mode” tends to use more data compared to other platforms.
   This creates difficulties for viewers, especially those using mobile networks or with data caps.

   In Japan, there is a strong culture of “background viewing,” where people listen to streams while doing chores, studying, or working.
   At the same time, many users lack access to home Wi-Fi or have limited monthly mobile data plans, making it particularly challenging for students and younger viewers to watch Twitch streams.

   Given these circumstances, I kindly ask Twitch to consider introducing a lightweight viewing mode, including:

   ･A low-data audio-only mode that uses 300kbps or less
   ･An ultra-low resolution video mode, such as 144p or lower
   ･Support for efficient, modern codecs like VP9 or AV1, optimized for low bitrates

   If implemented, these features would allow users with limited data to enjoy Twitch comfortably and provide a better viewing experience for those who prefer lighter data usage.
   I believe this would also help expand Twitch’s audience by making the platform more accessible to a broader range of users.

   I truly believe this improvement would benefit both users and Twitch itself.
   I sincerely hope Twitch continues to grow as an open and welcoming platform for many more people.

5. Romania needs 1440p viewing experience.

   Please allow Romania(EMEA region country) to watch 1440p streams, the country literally has one of the best internet connection on this planet. It's also weird that romanian streamers get 1440p streaming but romanian viewers can't watch in 1440p :(. Most romanians have 500mbps or 1gbps connection, some do have 100mbps but that is also enough of course. So since you do give romanian streamers that stream in romanian language the option to stream in 1440p then let the romanians actually see the difference please.

6. Allow for Custom Parameters when using Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting/Multiple Encodes

   Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting is by default a downgrade compared to server-sided transcoding.

   1. Server-sided transcodes provide a 3500kbps bitrate for the 720p60 non-source track. When using Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting, the 720p60 track is limited to 2500kbps, a reduction of 1000kbps or approximately 28.6%.

   2. Non-partners are effectively denied from streaming 720p60 at 6000kbps. As twitch reduces transcode availability, more non-partners will be forced to use Twitch Enhanced broadcasting to have multiple encodes. Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting limits the bitrate for 720p60 streams to 4500kbps. This is a reduction of 1500kbps or 25%. Effectively, non-partners must choose between the higher perceptual quality of 720p60 at 6000kbps, or lower perceptual quality at 4500kbps to also have transcodes. This is arbitrary.

   3. Custom parameters allow for higher perceptual video quality, especially during high motion scenes. For example, according to EposVox, on RDNA2 & RDNA3 series GPUs, the highest perceptual video quality is achieved with 1 b-frame, and 2 b-frames results in the second-lowest perceptual video quality. To him, and also myself, the difference is visually noticeable, and it is significant.

   My suggestion:

   Allow Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting to, at a minimum, allow you to change source quality parameters, and at best, allow you to change all parameters for all tracks.

8. Add 4k/8k video and performance quality on gaming consoles

   They should start adding video performance/quality for gaming consoles that supports 4k and 8k quality for live streaming and watching live stream as viewers. Consoles like PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 Pro, etc.

9. [1440p] Audio/Video off sync on VOD

   While watching VODs there's an off-sync between audio and video but only when quality is set on 1440p60i. If we switch to 1080p60i or lower it instantly re-syncronized. I tried to export my VOD on Youtube and the problem appears on this plateform too.

10. VODs rewind and start over on mobile background player

    Open a VOD

    Lock phone screen and listen to stream
    Eventually the stream will skip backwards several minutes and continue playing from there
    This seems to be mostly Android.
    App version 24.6.0
    There are several complaints on reddit
    One comment noted similar issue with quality set to auto. It may be related but I haven't tested thoroughly

11. Sorting and Filter Options for the Twitch TV App

    Hi Twitch Team,

    It would be incredibly helpful if the Twitch TV app included a language filter, similar to what’s available on the Android and iOS apps. Currently, it's quite frustrating to open multiple streams only to realize they’re in a language I don't understand — or to always have to cast from my phone to the TV just to find suitable content.

    Being able to filter streams by language directly on the TV app would make the viewing experience much more enjoyable. If possible, it would also be great to include additional filters to narrow down streams (e.g. from many to fewer, more relevant ones), just like on the mobile platforms.

    This would be a very valuable addition. Thank you for considering it!

    Stream volume is always jumping up back to 100%. I normally watch streams at 1 to 5% so it keeps hurting my ears so could you fix it asap.

    When i click ,, start streaming ,, on obs i start streaming even twitch is saying im streaming but when i click on the stream it had my offline banner and its saying that im offline while i have around 11 minute streamed and i even had 3 poaple on my stream while i was offline that makes no sense

14. Allow us to set Twitch volume.

    Whatever the bug is that is causing all streams to open at 100% volume makes for a lot of trouble for the extra loud streams and don't know it will be. Give us a volume control at least in settings that allows us to set the volume for opening a stream. It will require me to turn up or down some streams but makes for a much more pleasant experience than to click to view a stream and feel like it is trying to bust my eardrums.

15. Please fix ads on Android TV App. Streams don't play after ads.

    Every time an ad plays it won't return to the stream. I'm stuck with a black screen & play button. I have tried all the things. Clear cache, & data. Reinstall app. Updated to the latest Android TV. It started a few months ago only happening once & a while; but has been increasingly worse & now happens every time an ad plays.

17. Keep streaming quality as user selected when using picture in picture

    When using Picture in Picture mode, the quality of the stream drops to the "out of focus" quality, rendering the PIP mode unusable.

    When I use PIP I'm ACTUALLY watching the stream, so it would be nice having it in HD when applicable.

18. Provide streamers with metrics info for viewer transcoding

    Hi everyone, We'd love to have info available to streamers regarding how many viewers watch Twitch at each transcoding level. So, for example, how many people view at 1080 vs. 720 in general? How many by category? Having this info for each category + region would help streamers make informed choices with bitrate and resolution. We run a DJ stream, so we need to stay at 320kbps for audio. This means we can't use enhanced broadcasting to solve transcoding issues. (Enhanced broadcasting = 160 audio.) We've so far settled on 1536x864 at 6000kpbs video and 320kbps audio in OBS. This seems to optimize XP for both 720p viewers and 864p viewers. Once we go to 1080p, the graphics quality tanks because the bitrate for Twitch can't go higher than 8000, and the quality really tanks for 720p viewers because the transcoding at Twitch from 1080 to 720 isn't great. We could pop up to 1660x936 at 8000kbps, but that also loses more quality for the 720p user than the 864p option. So, in conclusion, it's good to know how many people in our audiences actually prefer to view at 720.

    heres the thing i know you only want nvidia cards to stream cause your cheap to make amd gpus work with streaming the software you got for amd users is 100% trash and outdated people been asking you guys for years to fix this issue get off your lazy butt and FIX THIS i can stream on youtube in 4k 60fps with my 7900xt with no issues and game at the same time in 4k ultra settings.
