  1. AV1 encoding support should be a priority add to the website. AV1 encoding is a big improvement in visual quality to streams over CPU and GPU encoding options. Discord already added it, and I believe YouTube has it as well, it's very surprising to me that Twitch hasn't added this and there isn't even an ETA on it being added yet.

  2. At 11:00 (KST), I received a notification email that limit the video quality to 720p in Korea due to the network fee burden. Twitch should have informed Korean users at least a few weeks ago and had to come up with other alternatives. This is considered sufficiently discriminatory compared to global users. Please postpone these restrictions and come up with alternatives.

  3. I am a Korean Twitch user.

Not long ago, the maximum video quality for watching Twitch in Korea was fixed at 720p.

I heard that the reason was that the cost of using the network in Korea was a burden to the operation.

In addition, I understand that Korea's new network fee bill has made it even more burdensome.

Koreans fully understand this and are opposed to Korea's additional network usage fee bill.

As a result, there is a prevailing expectation that this bill will be difficult to pass due to opposition from the National Assembly even in Korea.

    Anyway,…

  4. We understand that broadcasting at higher bit rates costs Twitch more money, so why not enable it as a paid feature, such as for Twitch turbo subscribers?

  5. I used to stream from an affiliate account before and used to get all the resolution change options for my streams. Now I am using a new twitch account to stream, while I am using same streaming options on OBS as before, my viewers don't get the resolution change on current streams. It's always 1080p and it's driving viewers away due to lag issues.

  7. The only servers at the moment in SA are located in Brazil. Even though we are in the same continent, that doesn't means that the connection would be great for those who use the servers. I'm from Chile and even though I have 600m/s upload connection I'm losing frames constantly. Adding a server for those who live to the South part(Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru) could have at least one server in any of those countries and the North part can use the server at Brazil or add another server even more to the North.

At the start when he says 4 there's a pop

https://clips.twitch.tv/OilyAmazonianOrcaNinjaGrumpy-W6l5wQ51eCbiwZIw (click or pop?noise when he says "Goddam..."
Lowering the volume actually makes the click/pop clearer to hear for some reason.

When he says container and miniscus.

    Small pop left ear.

    Similar small pop right ear.

https://clips.twitch.tv/WanderingStormyPigeonAMPTropPunch-gqbvnmK1vW3XMvUz This one is pretty obvious.I think it's clipping?

I can hear this on my pc with my headphones.I can also hear these on my phone with another pair of headphones.

Is it just some coincidence that I happen to watch streamers who have these subtle/not so subtle audio issues…

  11. I must echo the ideas asking that you optimize your streaming. Reporting playback issues through the player is not sufficient because in all the years since the issues have seemingly gotten worse. It feels like a bandaid solution that gives users an avenue to think that something's being done when it isn't.

My previous PC was starting to show its age, but was no slouch. i5 4590, R9 290X, 16GB DDR3 at 1600mhz. It ran DOOM Eternal at around 100fps on high settings. But Twitch streams? Constant hanging, constantly needing to refresh. Adblocking was a necessity for watching streams because…

  12. 1080p in 2023 is a tad dated given the advancement in panel resolution standards and accessibility, coupled with the widespread availability high bandwidth internet connectivity - An option to stream at 1440p 60fps would be great. It'll be playable and crisp on a 4k display without looking too grainy, and streams will be most crisp for all using 1440p displays (I don't have any 1080p displays and my viewing experience is unimpressive as this doesn't upscale as well). Details and clarity are important when viewing competitive esports content.

  13. I have both a Shield TV and Apple TV, the experience is the same… I can start a stream and select 1080p for example. If I pause it then resume, or fast forward and resume, or rewind and resume, the resolution automatically switches to Auto.

This is awful and very annoying as a consumer. It’s bad enough I have to change from the awful Auto setting at the start of every stream, but the fact that any action I take reverts it is just bad design. Please address this so the resolution setting is persistent.

    Thank you

  15. Streams that are in 1440p resolution doesn't have option to select 1080p quality.

This affect devices with 1080p resolution because they have left with 720p as max resolution to watch.

It would very nice if there is 1080p quality for 1440p streams

  16. On macOS Ventura/Sonoma (May affect earlier versions and is on Apple Silicon) using the latest stable build of Safari, after watching a Twitch stream for so long, it either pauses or brings up the error refresh button or I am forced to refresh the page as a whole.

This has persisted over several formats of the entire system and seems to randomly happen with no consistency, it can happen every 5 minutes or even 60 seconds-ish or sometimes not happen at all although rare.

I have tested this with and without extensions as well as enabling all Preview features in…

  17. South Korea's Twitch community has seen rates on Amazon Web Services' IVS reduced by up to 50% since August 1, 2023. And
Users in Korea will not be able to create and upload new VOD content, which will likely reduce network rates.

Since live channels in Korea have decreased a lot compared to last year, I think the network fee has decreased compared to last year.

Please increase the display advertisement to 60 seconds instead of 30 seconds by adopting it as an interim advertisement

  19. izleyici olarak tüm yayınlarda video kalitesini seçerken fps 720p ve üstü için 30 fps seçeneği bulunması gerekiyor internetimiz yetersiz kalıyor.

    Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

Ve seyrettiğimiz yayınlarda yayıncı, oyun, müzik ve discord seslerinin kontrolünü yapabilmemiz izlemeyi kolaylaştıracak çünkü herkesin sistemi aynı olmadığından seyretmeyi zorlaştırıyor.
yayıncının sesini bastıran müzik oyun ve discord gürültüsü rahatsız edici

As a viewer, when choosing the video quality in all broadcasts, there should be a 30 fps option for fps 720p and above, our internet is insufficient.

And being able to control the broadcaster, game, music and discord sounds in the broadcasts we watch will…

  20. When one user is streaming live with friends, and they have their friend Twitch names tagged in the same video, it should be shown on those tagged streamers' videos across each tagged user's channel and other channels. If a fellow streamer is tagged in a stream, their channel should also automatically go live.
