2. Make Twitch More Mobile-Friendly with Low-Data Modes （Twitchモバイルアプリに軽量通信モードを追加してほしい）

   Twitch is a fantastic platform for enjoying long streams of gaming and creative work.
   However, the current “audio-only mode” tends to use more data compared to other platforms.
   This creates difficulties for viewers, especially those using mobile networks or with data caps.

   In Japan, there is a strong culture of “background viewing,” where people listen to streams while doing chores, studying, or working.
   At the same time, many users lack access to home Wi-Fi or have limited monthly mobile data plans, making it particularly challenging for students and younger viewers to watch Twitch streams.

   Given these circumstances, I kindly ask Twitch to consider introducing a lightweight viewing mode, including:

   ･A low-data audio-only mode that uses 300kbps or less
   ･An ultra-low resolution video mode, such as 144p or lower
   ･Support for efficient, modern codecs like VP9 or AV1, optimized for low bitrates

   If implemented, these features would allow users with limited data to enjoy Twitch comfortably and provide a better viewing experience for those who prefer lighter data usage.
   I believe this would also help expand Twitch’s audience by making the platform more accessible to a broader range of users.

   I truly believe this improvement would benefit both users and Twitch itself.
   I sincerely hope Twitch continues to grow as an open and welcoming platform for many more people.

3. 映像がptpt/プツプツ途切れる

   最近日本のtwitch配信者の間で配信中の映像が時々止まることについて配信内でたびたび言及されるのを目にします。同時接続数が増えると映像が止まることが増えるらしく、個人的な体感でもそれを感じます。その度にyoutubeliveやニコニコ等の代替サイトの話になりますが、まだ本格的な移行は行われていないようです。twitchはいつこれを改善しますか？

4. Wierd bug after Twitch started war with bots

   Alot of people from my stream and my friends streams (streamers mostly from Czech and Slovakia) are reporting huge stutters on streams, their viewers are telling them. (micro loading times) They sometimes get LONG loading times and sometimes it completely stops their stream and they need to F5, I'm not sure if it's happening only to people in Czech and Slovakia BUT even when I watch KaiCenat, XQC and other international streamers I get the same issue. It all started happening when war with bots happened. I have 1000-1000 internet connection and this was never an issue, I never changed a single setting or piece of hardware nor did my friends or the viewers. Please look at it, there is something wrong deep in and there is no way how to fix it. Twitch is killing CZ/SK community, I was talking with support and they redirected me to this forum so the developers can see the issue.

6. Incorrect clip offset and duration

   This is an old bug where the clip's start and end points are shifted relative to what is selected in the editor. The client sends correct offset/duration data but on the server side the fractional part is discarded.

   Steps to reproduce:
   - Open the clip editor.
   - Move the start point to the very beginning of the timeline and then shift it slightly forward by less than one second.
   - Extend the clip to one minute and slightly move the end point, for example, to a clip duration of 59.9 seconds.

   Result:
   - The resulting clip has a duration of exactly 59.0 seconds and starts exactly at the beginning.

   Previously, it was possible to create a clip with some margin and then edit it to get an exact clip. However, after a recent editor update, the editor always loads the original 1.5 minute segment, making it impossible to create a precise clip. Additionally, the API shows the correct clip duration, and if you reopen the editor the preview will be correct. This means the bug affects the final render only.

8. Bring back video quality selection for all streams.

   Everyone knows Twitch is now limiting quality selection to 1080p or Auto, as the only two selectable options for lower-view streams. This equates to the overwhelming super-majority of your platform. This is clearly detrimental to the health of the platform in the long term. I would highly suggesting reverting these changes, or offering full quality-selection to subscribers, which would incentivize purchase. It's scummy, but it's no different than your competitors. At least be equal. Not worse. Thank you.

9. [1440p] Audio/Video off sync on VOD

   While watching VODs there's an off-sync between audio and video but only when quality is set on 1440p60i. If we switch to 1080p60i or lower it instantly re-syncronized. I tried to export my VOD on Youtube and the problem appears on this plateform too.

10. Allow for Custom Parameters when using Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting/Multiple Encodes

    Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting is by default a downgrade compared to server-sided transcoding.

    1. Server-sided transcodes provide a 3500kbps bitrate for the 720p60 non-source track. When using Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting, the 720p60 track is limited to 2500kbps, a reduction of 1000kbps or approximately 28.6%.

    2. Non-partners are effectively denied from streaming 720p60 at 6000kbps. As twitch reduces transcode availability, more non-partners will be forced to use Twitch Enhanced broadcasting to have multiple encodes. Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting limits the bitrate for 720p60 streams to 4500kbps. This is a reduction of 1500kbps or 25%. Effectively, non-partners must choose between the higher perceptual quality of 720p60 at 6000kbps, or lower perceptual quality at 4500kbps to also have transcodes. This is arbitrary.

    3. Custom parameters allow for higher perceptual video quality, especially during high motion scenes. For example, according to EposVox, on RDNA2 & RDNA3 series GPUs, the highest perceptual video quality is achieved with 1 b-frame, and 2 b-frames results in the second-lowest perceptual video quality. To him, and also myself, the difference is visually noticeable, and it is significant.

    My suggestion:

    Allow Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting to, at a minimum, allow you to change source quality parameters, and at best, allow you to change all parameters for all tracks.

11. Open Dual Format and Enhanced Broadcasting outside of proprietary OBS

    It is encouraging to see new features being explored but limiting access to the proprietary OBS connection is unfortunate.

    Ideally, the ability to send multiple streams would not be gated behind the proprietary OBS connection so that advanced users could configure their stream pipeline to take full advantage of the latest features.

    This would be particularly helpful for stream broadcast suites or users that run their own rtmp relay.

    For example, a user might leverage SRT to a cloud server that transmuxes the streams to rtmp to get around local or mobile network inconsistency.

    If they could manually configure streams to known endpoints at Twitch they could push one stream to their relay and have the cloud server transcode and deliver various qualities even creating the 9:16 vertical orientation.

    It is encouraging to see new features being explored but limiting access to the proprietary OBS connection is unfortunate.

12. Issue with rewind while stream in background

    Since rewind has been implemented, if I keep the stream playing in the background and then I go back to the stream, it "rewinds" of like a second and so I hear the streamer saying the same thing twice in a row.
    I think this may be due to the feature on Chrome that decreases the quality of the stream while it's not focused to reduce bandwidth, but then it bugs out for a second while going back to the maximum quality.

14. Enable better network performance or multiquality again to affiliates

    Clearly something changed. Twitch is allowing more and more affiliates while also providing with low possibility to give multiquality features.

    This means that:
    - those who cannot afford or just have the best internet connection will never be able to have more viewers since the max quality isn't helping viewers with low connection
    - clearly Twitch is trying to give more affiliations while hoping to get better revenues, but at what cost

    Do something, the max quality video is doing a big damage. Restore the multiquality.

    Hi! I'm getting following notifications on my antivirus while watching streams on Twitch with Firefox.

    "firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an untrusted certificate to prod.ivs-device-config.live-video.net. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since untrusted certificates are issued by unrecognized Certificate Authorities."

18. Random automatic pauses

    You need to fix the issue that streams randomly stop playing and go on pause.

    If i press on "play" it plays for 10-50 seconds and then pauses itself again. It's unbearbly annoying.

    It is not an issue that only I have, I have seen streamers be on twitch and experience the same issue.

    **** I even have Twitch Turbo and the stream just pauses itself.

    I found out that if I delete cookies and website data, it works fine again.

    But that cannot be a long term solution.

    Please fix! :(
