How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  2. Please allow the viewers to set the video quality of each stream separately, instead of globally. This will allow the viewers to override streams that use unusually (and unwanted) high video quality while also maintaining a valid quality on other streams.

  3. Enable Multipath TCP (MPTCP) on ingress servers. With MPTCP you can increase the stream reliability and performance by using multiple physical paths from streaming computer.

  4. Do NOT introduce P2P (peer to peer)!
Do NOT continue with your testing of this in Korea or ANYWHERE!
You will expose our IP Address's!
You will expose us ALL to being hacked!
You can not be this irresponsible!
If you use P2P you will be putting EVERYONE at risk!
This will be the end of Twitch.
It only takes one successful hack!

  7. VODs currently default to 160p if navigated to from a Clip.
This only pertains to the "twitch.tv/channelname/clip/uniqueslug" pages, not the older "clips.twitch.tv/uniqueslug" pages.
This also doesn't happen if you click "Watch Full Video" after creating a clip, as you're on a "clips.twitch.tv/uniqueslug" page at that point.

Specific reproduction steps - follow them closely:
    1. Go to any Twitch channel page
    2. Click the channels avatar to expand the featured/videos section.
    3. Click Videos -> Find a clip and click the clip
    4. Click the "Watch Full Video" in the lower right corner just below the player
    4.1 (If no "Watch…

  8. Have an option to watch any stream in the mini pop-out player, as the default player to watch.

It helps when you have slow or disconnecting internet speeds, or the streamer only has a large resolution display option for their stream at or over 720 p, etc., to watch their stream in the mini pop-out box/it's more stable and faster loading for slower internet users.

  9. If I replay a VOD and want to pause it and watch something on another tab, even though I paused it, if I click to another browser tab, the VOD resumes within a few seconds. And so I have to click back to the VOD tab to pause it. And I can only do anything else if I close the twitch page, otherwise the VOD starts, which I would pause if I could.

  11. I have a chrome extension installed that allows me to change the speed of any video I watch. Due to this, I can always see the speed of videos in the top left corner. I've noticed that any time a stream I'm watching lags or I fall too far behind live, Twitch will automatically change the speed of the stream from 1x to 1.03x speed. I believe this is a good idea and the change in speed is small enough to not affect the video. However, this speed change DOES affect the audio and in the case of music streams,…

  12. Honestly, I don’t know what exactly needs to be done, but twitch, unlike the same YouTube, always lacks Internet speed. I watch streams via wifi. Through the Windows task manager, I often see that twitch consumes over 20 Mbps and uses 70% of my processor. At peak moments of using the Internet, streams and recordings of streams do not freeze, but the speed constantly increases from 0 to 20 Mbps and falls back, at times when it is below 10 Mbps or I open even the usual "new tab" in Google stream or its RECORDING (it's like a regular YouTube…

  13. Category: PROBLEM WITH SERVER IN PERU COUNTRY

Summary: the vast majority of colleagues from my country Peru, lately are having problems with the stream, the solution would be the possibility of opening a server in LIMA, PERU. since several internet companies are limited by the bandwidth in my country.

  14. I live in Saudi Arabia and there is no server near us

All Gulf countries suffer from the same problem, and our audience is very strong, and we have all the required capabilities and qualifications, but unfortunately, to this day, we suffer from the problem that we do not have any servers in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, etc.

  15. This issue has been going on for months now.

Certain streams have been buffering until they are 8 - 10 seconds behind.
It usually buffers 2 - 3 times, until the stream is 8 seconds behind, and then it runs with no more buffering.
At first I thought it was just random streams, but after I posted about the issue on Reddit, someone pointed out that it's only happening on stream with less than ~100 viewers. Once a stream gets over 100 - 150 viewers, there's no more buffering.
I usually watch stream with lower viewercounts, and interacting with the…

  16. Twitch is not optimised for macOS safari. Errors include #2000, #3000, and rarely #4000. These bugs do not occur on Google chrome, with #3000 being an exception. Cookies have been cleared, history wiped, pc restarted, account logged out/in, the codes still persist. No ad blockers, content blockers, or VPNs other than apples private relay that’s included in their service subscription; iCloud+

  17. There are routing problems between Egypt and Twitch EU servers that cause frame drops (A lot ) during live streams, by using restreaming platforms FPS drops is solved, however, I lose the perks I get from streaming directly to twitch such as (VODS audio track in OBS Chat extensions) and many others.

We would like Twitch to keep taking care of the MENA region.

  19. Please fix the bug (or feature added recently?) where your sound level snaps to 10%. I usally have 3 or 4% when watching streams, but latley it snaps to 10% or Off.
Its very frustrating and sounds are really loud at 10%.

    thank you
