Stop Stream From Requiring a Manual Refresh on Website https://www.twitch.tv/zfg1 frequently has an error where everyone watching on desktop/web has to manually refresh the stream. He says he is running the latest version of OBS, and his chat says this happens to his stream more frequently than others (about once per 20/30 minutes).

Fix Audio Issues I have a chrome extension installed that allows me to change the speed of any video I watch. Due to this, I can always see the speed of videos in the top left corner. I've noticed that any time a stream I'm watching lags or I fall too far behind live, Twitch will automatically change the speed of the stream from 1x to 1.03x speed. PLEASE help streamers with the infamous "(Error #2000)" problem? This error is HUGE all over the internet for Twitch streamers! We need serious attention done to this error which is causing problems for so many small-time streamers who do not have the resources or knowledge to find out why this error appears. This is one of the most persistent and problematic errors that MUST be addressed by Twitch in a real SERIOUS way!

macOS Safari Playback issues On macOS Ventura/Sonoma (May affect earlier versions and is on Apple Silicon) using the latest stable build of Safari, after watching a Twitch stream for so long, it either pauses or brings up the error refresh button or I am forced to refresh the page as a whole.
This has persisted over several formats of the entire system and seems to randomly happen with no consistency, it can happen every 5 minutes or even 60 seconds-ish or sometimes not happen at all although rare.

Audio and Video falling out of sync especially in Low Latency When watching a stream, especially in Low Latency mode, the stream pauses and buffers every now and again, usually first after just few minutes (despite 1 Gbit connection) and after a few of those, the audio and video fall out of sync, quite noticably.
The fix is to either refresh the whole page (long way, losing chat) or toggle the Low Latency toggle off and on, which fixes it for some time.16 votes -

Player becomes unresponsive While watching a stream if I leave a stream up for an extended amount of time I will sometimes come back to the video player ui having been frozen and unresponsive. I will hover over and click the player buttons without a response, additionally the hotkeys for the different player actions will also not work, spacebar for pausing and m for mute. I couldn't find anyone elses account on this issue.
Sidenote - This is for live broadcasts in particular

Fix error 2000 regarding Anti-tracking software blocking Error 2000 in my experience has been due to the Anti-tracking software I use. This makes the stream crash and quit playing. You need to refresh to get the stream going again. Usually this will cause an ad to play as soon as it is refreshed but not always in my experience. Anti-tracking software does not prevent other streaming websites to run smoothly for me, only Twitch. On my latest Twitch watching stint, my Anti-tracking software shows 13 advertising trackers blocked, 3 site analytics trackers blocked, and 0 essential trackers blocked. Video decoding problems. Twitch video seems to be decoding on my 3D cores and video decode consecutively. AMD Radeon VII. This is a problem beginning in the middle part of this year 2020. While playing Scar Citizen load seems to begin shifting between the 3D cores and video decode. Video decode should never touch my 3D cores or I should have an option in my settings to set stream decoding to "Video decode only!" Performance was perfect before now streams are prone to studders and freezing when my GPU is under heavy load.

If I pause, pause! If I replay a VOD and want to pause it and watch something on another tab, even though I paused it, if I click to another browser tab, the VOD resumes within a few seconds. And so I have to click back to the VOD tab to pause it. And I can only do anything else if I close the twitch page, otherwise the VOD starts, which I would pause if I could.

Video playback stops when changing between muted/unmuted sections. When a vod has a muted section, the video often stops when changing between muted and unmuted sections. The video timer keeps running, but the audio/video is fozen. (firefox/windows)

Solve this infuriating Error #2000 ********. Also, PROVIDE SOME ******* CUSTOMER SUPPORT! Here's an idea, get your **** to work properly, and provide customer support for when your worthless dogshit doesn't work. This error 2000 ******** has clearly been a TWITCH PROBLEM FOR YEARS, while you do nothing about it and can't even be bothered to provide even the most basic customer support to solve the issue. I have no further use for twitch, since it doesn't work and twitch staff can't be bothered to do anything about it.

Improve Garbage Collection of Webapp I've noticed that Twitch seems to have a major garbage collection problem. I use Firefox (97.0.1 currently).
Granted, I currently have 5 streams open with 4 of them tiled on my TV, however, the memory usage can be seen in excess of 10 GB.
When I do manual garbage collection via
about:memory?verbose, it can drop back down to about 2-3 GB total usage on the main process with 5 streams open.This sort of memory bloat only happens when I use Twitch. Firefox reports that the memory is under control (less than 1 GB total) in

Stream Rewind has a bug that causes the resolution to switch to 720p after skipping back to live When using stream rewind, skipping back to live would set the player resolution to 720p even if it was on source before rewinding or during rewind

[1440p] Audio/Video off sync on VOD While watching VODs there's an off-sync between audio and video but only when quality is set on 1440p60i. If we switch to 1080p60i or lower it instantly re-syncronized. I tried to export my VOD on Youtube and the problem appears on this plateform too.

Stop muting game VODS for illegally sampled YouTube songs Modify the algorithm so it stops tagging people for copyright infringement for songs that sampled things illegally on Youtube. I keep getting tagged during Ocarina Of Time because somebody on YouTube illegally sampled Saria's Song. I'm not alone, either. People have issues with Majora's Mask all the time. The VODs are unmuted very quickly, but it's annoying to deal with. I've contacted Nintendo, but obviously they don't care about stuff that small. Wondering why the Twitch algorithm does.

Resolution changes to higher scale when tabbing out I want to save some traffic, when watching streams on a background, but stream unexpectedly change the resolution from 160p to 1080p60 on regular and low latency modes. It looks like a bug because when I open the tab again it changes the resolution back to 160p.

Expired Security Certificate embedded in streams Viewing live streams prompts an AntiVirus Warning that an embedded Security Certificate is currently expired. Warning reads: "attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to global.poe.live-video.net. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since websites must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk."
