Player becomes unresponsive

While watching a stream if I leave a stream up for an extended amount of time I will sometimes come back to the video player ui having been frozen and unresponsive. I will hover over and click the player buttons without a response, additionally the hotkeys for the different player actions will also not work, spacebar for pausing and m for mute. I couldn't find anyone elses account on this issue.

Sidenote - This is for live broadcasts in particular

    This has been happening for about 6 months+ now. The twitch tab on google chrome just randomly goes unresponsive.

    I have been having trouble with this issue for the last month or so with VODs.

    Just this week a new issue compounded things. I started being unable to open a VOD from the list below the currently open VOD. no matter what I clicked, it would just jump to top of screen and continue showing me the current open VOD page. even right clicking to copy URL wouldn't work. I had to screenshot while hoovering over the link to see the URL and manually enter it to play the VOD... Like seriously what is going on with the interface issues. I disabled all extensions and refreshed page but the issue persisted. This is on Edge browser.

    this is still an ongoing issue with Chrome on my part.

    I've been having this problem frequently show up too. It seems to happen after the second or third ad break.

    There seems to be numerous other scripting bugs, but this one is exceptionally annoying because I have to force a refresh before I can adjust the volume.

    I've been trying to watch GamesDoneQuick all week and this has been happening. Found a temp fix of Ctrl+Shift+I but that only works sometimes.

    The player seems to stop working after like 20ish mins.

    Having the same bug on Edge browser, started around a week ago. Have to refresh the page to get it to work. Sometimes it's unresponsive in a few minutes, sometimes in half hour+
