Make new /shoutout command available to Moderators & Editors Please give Moderators and Editors the ability to use the new /shoutout command. Streamers are usually too busy trying to make their stream entertaining to stop and type out a command. The Moderators are usually the ones who give a shoutout to other streamers.
2 votesHey there! Just wanted to let you know that moderators should be able to use the new /shoutout feature in streamer's channels! You can learn more about it here: https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/shoutouts
However, this suggestion will remain as editors do not have access to create shoutouts at this time. Thanks for the feedback!

Allow channel bots to use the /shoutout command The new /shoutout command is pretty cool, but isn't able to replace the existing shoutouts that we all do in our bots. Since the bots are usually mods in their respective channels, those users should be able to use the /shoutout command (just as they can use commands like /announce); however, I have not been able to make this work. Please consider allowing chat (IRC) connections to use the /shoutout command, so we can augment our bot shoutouts with the new feature!

First Chat Highlight Mod View Adjustment Both the default and minimized version of the first chat highlight feature is quite distracting from a moderator's point of view. In a fast paced chat (5k average viewers), the pink frame around the message distracts us from seeing the immediate couple of message above and below the highlighted message, making us sometimes miss things not allowed by chat rules.
I understand that from a streamer's point of view, this is a neat feature for new viewer engagement, however, as a moderator, it would be great if we could get the option to use the "old" compact first chat message…

Open respond to whispers for bots of all verification level Whispers are (rightfully) strongly restricted for bots. But being able to respond to whispers sent to the bot would allow for a wide range of applications while not opening anyone up to spam (who is not seeking it).
Use case 1:
Many streamers use commands to answer repeating questions. The commands and their output are however only usefull to one user (who is using the command). For everyone else it is only filling the chat with extra messages that might make them miss something.
Another scenario: when playing minigames via the chat, the chat can get verry crammed with commands…1 vote -
"Chat Highlight Settings" notification circle instead appears on "Chat settings" for any channel but your own A recent update (this week?) added a pink notification circle to the "Chat Highlight Settings".
Since that button does not appear on other channels than your own, the notification circle is instead added to "Chat Settings", which does not make any sense since there is nothing new under there.
So any user who does not stream will have to know to go onto their own channel in order to dismiss the notification circle.

Prevent Shoutout Misuse & SPAM Similar to RAIDs there should be a section in the Creator Dashboard that allows granular access to control Shoutouts & what gets shown where (ie Chat message vs Activity Feed message vs both).
Currently with the new rollout you are able to;
1) Shoutout the same person every minute or so which causes their Activity Feed to be SPAMmed with notifications (usually of different view count numbers)
2) It is possible to Shoutout the same channel at the same time by multiple accounts which can lead to Bot controlled Hate Shoutouts
3) Resulting Mass Follows to an unsuspecting channel could…1 vote -
Can't reply to messages or expand threads in SL desktop app or Stream Manager Today, when I tried to stream, I noticed I couldn't expand threads and reply to messages in Streamlabs desktop app, or in Stream Manager. But I could on my channel page, where there's a viewer count that can't be turned off. I had to put a small post-it over top, which solved the problem, but not as well as I wanted. Why am I all of a sudden not able to expand threads or reply to comments in Streamlabs desktop app, and Stream Manager? Will this issue be resolved soon?

@name not working Why is the @name (if you start typing a name then hit tab it does not autocomplete the name anymore or show a list of names)? Having to typeout the name for @name or !so @name seems to revert back to the old days. Did you delete the coding on accident? As a mod for a few channels that is quite annoying. Can we fix this please?

url twitch chat does not correctly handle URLs containing an asterisk. it chops the link off as soon as it encounters the asterisk.
e.g. posting this link:
https://miro.medium.com/max/640/1*F1_GUG4BhZ1cd0miUWD2ZA.gifin twitch chat incorrectly redirects users to:

the option to jump to top on chat log! I have some Community Members for 3+ years now and sometimes I’d love to see their very first chat message just to see how it all began!
I would be so cool if we could have a jump to top feature to see their first chat messages!
Nostalgia, walk down memory lane. All those things. :)1 vote -
[Test] Elevated Chat We know on some streams chat moves fast. So we're experimenting with a feature that allows viewers to Elevate their chat messages. If you're in a country with access to this feature, and on a channel in our experiment, you'll see the entry point to Elevated Chat (it's an arrow!) next to the chat input box.
Since this is an experiment, keep in mind that Elevated Chat may appear differently across channels. The experience will likely change before we fully launch to all streamers. We'd love to hear about your feedback with this feature!

Have an extended emote only mode (approved text only?) With the usage of third party emote integration it would be useful if this could be used in emote only mode. Some of our favourite streamers use emotes from third party plug-ins which can't be used in emote only mode. It would be nice if there was some from of extended emote only mode where white listed words can also be used which would tie in with the emotes from these plug-ins whether automatically detected or manually added by the broadcaster/mods

Longer time period polls Polls are great, but the limited time scales hinders their usefulness.
An hour to choose what people want to see at the start of a stream would be great.
Multi-day/no limit polls would be good for questions you want a wider opinion of. Some viewers are only on at the weekend etc, easy to miss their opinion, forcing us to use external tools or discord (it would be preferable for us all to keep this interaction on twitch)

badge for "mutuals" A chat badge next to users who you follow and they follow you back would be cool, I think. It should only be visible to you but across every chat.

10 years on twitch chat badge I have been on twitch since 2012. I have supported this platform and its creators for a whole DECADE, I feel its right to give anyone who has been on twitch for TEN years a special chat badge.
