Ability for moderators to mark a chat message as interesting for the broadcaster to view. In rooms with a lot of viewers things can be very crowded, making it difficult for the broadcaster to read and respond to chat.
One method for dealing with this is to allow channel moderators to tag interesting chat messages so that the broadcaster can see them easier. These messages could be highlighted to the broadcaster, made persistent like a "sticky", or even a filter mode so only tagged messages will show.
This offloads the work of finding significant messages within chat to the moderators instead of the broadcaster who's already preoccupied with the game.

Let us Popout Whispers window I can keep only 2-3 whisper tiny windows open at the same time, and if someone else whispers me, it overlays the other windows and I can't do anything. Please let us popout these small windows to another tab and session.

To reduce the whispers box when you are in theater mode. Because it gets on the bottom right of the video.
P.S: Not when it's opened but when it's closed.

Smooth Chat Scrolling I think you could follow the chat easier if it was not immediately pushed one line up, instead it should be pushed in from bottom with a small animation.
the speed of the animation could be calculated by an algorithm involving messages/minute(second) the more messages the faster the animation.

Add a lurking mode to chat so you don't appear in user list until you type in chat. I've been in several streams now where I see people appear in the userlist that I know and say hello to them and have the streamer warn me about not calling out users. I would love it if there was an option to be invisible to everyone until you say something in chat! That way you can still read chat but not be disturbed until you choose to let your presence be known. :)

Give an option to remove "deleted messages" from view entirely. You are currently capable of reviewing those deleted messages but most people are not interested in that and at least in my small audience i heard that they would love to have an option removing those "message deleted" messages entirely.
Make it default perhaps?
Mods and people that actually care about that (for honesty ... what reason...?) can turn it on in the settings.20 votes -
Implement mod-only group whispers Would love to see a mod-only chat implemented using Whispers 2.0, or even just a group-chat in general. Love Whispers 2.0 so far, and I think it would do away with the current group chat that I don't think people know much about or use often.

Add the ability to send private messages to more than one person at a time Obviously some measures would need to be put in place to prevent abuse, but this would be a nice feature to have.

Sound! Hello, sometimes I tend to chat with people therefore I completely miss out on what's actually happening with the game that the person is playing. On the other hand - sometimes I tend to watch broadcaster(s) in full screen and therefore if someone wanted to talk to me or just say something quickly - I would never know because I wouldn't be paying attention to chat. Replace followers-only mode with established account mode Followers-only mode is discouraging finding new streams. Especially when streams have ONE HOUR followers only mode. The mode is misused to gain followers instead of preventing spam. Why do I have to follow every channel I want to chat in?

make it possible to add, change, or delete tags via commands in chat For anyone who isn't using the twitch website to stream e.g. console users or even allow mods to do it for you. This would be a much appreciated implementation after Communities were taken away.

Different color highlights I really want a @mods and @everyone. So it will show highlighted for everyone. But i would like different highlights on the @. So if the mod @ someone it shows up different so it stands out more to the viewers.

Stop scrolling chat when I scroll up in chat It is currently IMPOSSIBLE to moderate large channels because I can't scroll up to ban someone breaking twitch TOS (racism etc). Can the devs please just stop chat from scrolling when we scroll upwards in chat? This isn't something very difficult to implement.

Breast Cancer Charity Badge I think it would be cool if Twitch partnered up with a breast cancer research charity and If users donate to charity through Twitch they could unlock a pink ribbon global badge and maybe some emotes. I think adding a badge could make it easier for users to find out about these charities and if they donate to it through Twitch they can be sure that the charity is a legitimate foundation.

Have alternative user name Font Colors between Light theme and Dark theme Allow 2 different user name font colors - one for dark theme background and another for light theme background which switches back and forth automatically.

Chat division moderator. Here's an idea on how to moderate an overly active chat full of spam, streamer bashing, and overall bullying without having to rely heavily on a streams moderators. Have a series of settings for chat division based on the viewers sub tier or lack there of. Monthly Bit Leaders At the moment the setting is weekly or all time. It would be cool to have a monthly setting, because a week is only a couple of streams for some people, and forever is a really long time!

allow streamers to set a limit on the number of people that can send messages chat. Since twitch has grown in size, many people have realized that streamers can no longer engage with their community the way they used to. Even with subscriber-only mode turned on, due to the massive increase in twitch prime subs, most long time streamers' chats are still filled with spam.
