How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:
This forum is for ideas only. If you need help, please check out our help portal for tons of articles that may answer your questions. If you still need help, you can reach out to our support team in the help portal as well!

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

  1. The Issue: Recent updates to the Twitch TV app (Fire TV, Android/Google TV, Consoles) have removed Chat Replay from VODs.
Why this matters: > 1. Loss of Context: A Twitch VOD is a communal archive. Without the chat, 50% of the context of the stream is gone.
    2. Lean-Back Experience: I watch on my TV specifically so I don't have to hold a device. Forcing me to use my phone to see the "vibes" of a past stream is inconvenient and counter-intuitive.
    3. The Solution: Bring back the optional chat overlay. If "UI clutter" is the concern, make it a…

  2. Twitch could add a "Randomized Clip Username" setting in the Security & Privacy tab. This feature would allow users to display a random username or a nickname on clips instead of their real Twitch username, enhancing privacy. Users can enable it optionally and choose between a random username or a custom nickname. Streamers and moderators can still ban clip creators using the hidden real account information, maintaining fairness.

  3. When giving the Mod role to a follower, the role is automatically added. The person receiving the role is not required to confirm nor receives notifications.

Being a Mod is generally seen as being associated to the channel, and can therefore lead to abuse, for example in case of controversies/controversial channels.

I suggest to add one additional step to how mods are assigned, that requires the recipient user to accept the role.

If this cannot be easily implemented (because it would, for example, break how Mod bots are configured for a channel), I suggest a clear notification should at least…

  6. In account settings add a button at the bottom of the Security and Privacy Tab to request to delete all personal data on your twitch account including user reports (e.g., any reports you've filed against content or users. This feature allows Twitch users to request the deletion of all personal data associated with their account directly from the Security and Privacy settings, without requiring full account deletion

  7. Stream Rewind should be enabled for subscribers by default. Viewers can’t always join at the start, and many streamers don’t make all content available as VOD. Allowing subscribers to rewind during a live stream would let them catch up or replay important moments—tips, content shares, song names—without missing anything. It’s an invaluable feature that should be automatic. Thank you.

  8. Make the clipping feature better and more fun to use.
I clip on streams a lot, and like many others, I’ve built up hundreds, if not thousands, of clips. It can be very very hard to navigate them when you just want to find and rewatch a specific one. That’s why i want to suggest a "Favorite Clip" and a "Clip Collection" feature; it would make searching for and organizing clips so much easier.

If you go to Creator Dashboard > Content > Clips > Clips I've Created, you can see how messy it can get. That’s why it would…

  10. Twitch user reports should be kept confidential, and Twitch staff should not disclose reporter's identities to streamers to protect users from potential retaliation and maintain a safe reporting environment. If streamers know who reported them, they might harass those users directly or through their communities, deterring users from reporting legitimate violations due to fear of being identified. Create a dedicated reporting form accessible via the Twitch platform (web and app) that does not require users to log in or reveal identifiable information. Replace the current reporting system, which may tie reports to user accounts, with an option for fully anonymous…

  11. I have hackers and trolls that snipe my stream. Whenever possible I ban them. Many after ban watch my stream incognito (no login) and continue to terrorize. I can not see them let alone report or ban them. Is there a way to only allow people who have signed in to twitch to see my stream. I understand this may impact my visibilty but this behavior has been going on for quite a while. Love a box to check for this option. TYSM

  12. I’d like to request a feature that allows users to stack gifted subs onto other users who already have an active subscription.

    For example:

Dan is a viewer in a live stream; he is being a great community member. As another viewer I want the ability to reward him by paying for a month of his sub (or several months)

Here is how it could work:
    • Done through the user card in chat
    • The streamer receives their normal value on the day that the "resub" occurs
    • The recipient (Dan) is emailed / notified that “You’ve received a…

  13. There are options to pick lower resolutions for the stream. But there is no option for selecting lower framerates.

For example, if I want to watch at 1080p or 720p but want to decrease the framerate to 30 from 60.

  14. Please make the new vertical streaming mode an option for the viewer. I want to be able to hold my phone vertically and see the full stream at the top of the screen with the chat below it, like it is now. I don't want to have to tilt my phone to see the whole stream. I'm not opposed to the vertical stream option, but make it AN OPTION for viewers. The vertical view will cut off parts of the streamers gaming screen and I want to be able to see the full screen. Please and thank you.

  15. Twitch, please create a separate category for GTA Online or alternatively one for GTA RP. It is very inconvenient to find GTA Online players among all the RP players. There are many RP players who do not specify their RP server in the title.

  16. As an epileptic, the DJ streams... just really are not for me. Yet I can't seem to log in without one being suggested front and center from the main page.

You need a DO NOT RECOMMEND option for category types. I don't think it's an extreme request to not have a seizure when I'm just tryin to watch some games

  17. For those of us who use stream decks and tools like SAMMI, having to tab out to use the Quick Actions function can be a pain. Please add a /stopraids function and API call to trigger the function.

  18. Being able to create alerts through the native Twitch alert manager for my streamer would be extremely helpful, as they are not super tech-savvy and it would take longer for me to walk them through it than it would for me to just do it myself.

Alternatively, allow Editors to manage Alerts and Channel Points with their role.

  19. Middle-click, ctrl+click, etc. on the "Open Stories" link in the Twitch sidebar in a desktop browser should open the stories interface in a new tab, the expected behavior of opening a link on page in such a way.

Attempting to do this now either does nothing, or opens it in the current tab instead. Right-clicking to open the context menu does not reveal link opening related options either

  20. Revert the changes to the mobile app. The new mobile app is not user friendly. We want the option to opt out of stories as we already see them several places between multiple platforms. Go back to where we can see who is live and choose between them, and not just have the largest streamer pop up when you immediately open the app. It's bad for smaller streamers in channel growth and it's going to cost you revenue.
