  2. A potential new safety feature for Twitch could be a mandatory cooldown period between streams for new and/or unverified accounts. This cooldown period would require a user to wait a certain amount of time, such as 24-48 hours, before they are able to stream again.

This feature is needed because it can help prevent malicious or harmful content from being streamed on the platform. It's not uncommon for new or unverified accounts to be created for the sole purpose of trolling, harassing, or otherwise violating Twitch's community guidelines. By implementing a mandatory cooldown period, Twitch can give its moderation team…

  3. Twitch should offer all users the option to print a QR code they can post in the window of their home that when scanned reads "THIS HOUSE IS OCCUPIED BY TWITCH STREAMER [Link to their specific account] - LAW ENFORCEMENT, PLEASE VERIFY WHETHER THIS ACCOUNT IS STREAMING BEFORE ENTERING THE HOME"

This would 1) potentially reduce the incidence of injuries sustained through swatting, and 2) be a responsible and easy way for Twitch to show they want to give their users the ability to protect themselves while streaming.

  4. "Twitch Streamers Crisis Center": I think that you should create an online "Crisis Center" of sorts to support Twitch streamers who may be experiencing substance abuse issues or homelessness. You could include within that "Center" a "Housing Support" listing advertisements for available housing or roommates wanted. "Housing Support" could also include a roommate pairing service. It could also include a section for supportive chat which would provide both group therapy chat and chat aimed at helping streamers to make friends (and find a "family" of sorts online). You could include an "Opportunities Outside Twitch" section which would help streamers who…

  5. So I came to this conclusion when I saw the recent event that has taken place in a streamer stream that was called "Nadia" she exposed a user first and last name throughout the stream and even if she was banned for that. Not questioning the sentence whatsoever I think that this type of information should absolutely not be shown to any user of this platform and that, even to the person we donated to. Because even if twitch do explain and incite people to take legal action if doxing happens to them, i think that is not enough because…

  6. Require verification to follow a channel.

Over the past couple years on twitch a person, or group of people have been DOXing me constantly using their usernames to do it. I think the best way to deal with this is use the email and phone verification and allow streamers the ability to have verification as a requirement for following. I would specifically go with phone number myself.

This has again been going on for years and twitch has been no help when reaching out to them to stop this from happening.

  7. I want to suggest that there should be an alternative option to blocking users. I feel it should be with the Report button on the About tab. I am aware that there are other ways to block users, I just feel we should also be able to do it on user profiles.

And if they somehow have you blocked already to where you cant block them on their profile, then proceeding to typing /block [username] in your chat would be the next step.

I hope this idea is considered, I'm sure its been considered before but really there are so…

  9. Create a department of referents to help women streamers defend themselves against harassment campaigns. To bring them a real help and support tool so that they can more easily file a complaint in their regions and to offer administrative models according to the countries.
To make bad sexist behavior visible and make this look old-fashioned

  10. block whole channels! i blocked a streamer that sucks as a person and i keep getting raided into their channel anyways - if you guys won't delete his stream for the multiple reports of bullying from multiple users, pleasssse at LEAST make an option to stop me from winding up on his channel. i know my view isn't counted on a raid, but i don't want it to even look like i might be watching

  11. It's great that you have a "mature content" label as an option, but any kid can still simply click through that, they don't even need an account. Many creators that I watch simply don't want kids in their streams for various reasons.

Make it so that creators can also require a login for the video stream of their channel to show up. Maybe when you click into the full stream it gives you an alert that you need to login.

  13. Those who make a purchase (e.g. bits, subscriptions, etc.) should be treated as phone-verified. I only use a VoIP phone number, so I can't phone verify. But I do have an Amazon Prime subscription, so I can get 1 free Twitch subscription every month. My payment information is on file, so if I end up being a creepy stalker guy, you can easily trace me through the credit card, right? That should be good enough to stave off trolls. Let me be treated as Stage 2 Verified (stage 1 only requires an email address) if I either have my payment…

  14. Many streamers does timeout on mods as joke or redeem by channel points.

But is a hassle to have to put it back mod and editor on some of them.

Would be better to have an option to the mod/editor role to be not removed on timeout, and act like the vips who can be timmed out without losing the role.

  15. Personally I do not like that we have to use the same reporting process to follow through with reporting a bot incident in one's own stream. There have been multiple cases of accounts being mistakenly banned on Twitch's end, this reporting process only encourages that to repeat itself.

I believe we should get a new bot reporting process that is separate from the regular reporting process as to avoid any complications that could result in unjust bans of streamers trying to help the whole community.

  18. I consider them 100% necessary.

    1) Accounts with many bans in other channels:
    - Accounts with "some warning" on all their comments that is only seen by the mods.
    - Option for the streamer to decide if accounts with +5 /+10 /+10 /+20 / +50 bans in other channels are considered "accounts with warnings" in their channel.
    - Mods and streamer can disable "account with warnings" status for any account in their channel.
    - Mods and streamers by selecting only one option can ban/timeout all "accounts with warning" that are currently on their channel.

    2) Accounts created 1 hour /…

  19. Many streams have fun aspects such as alerts or scenes to celebrate events. Such as flashing lights or strobes like a rave to celebrate.
Or other music streams center their whole channel around these rave type imagery.

Flashing lights and colors is one of the biggest trigger for seizures for those with epilepsy.

I propose giving streamers a feature just like “flag this channel as mature content” they can “flag this channel as containing flashing imagery” or something of the effect where just as when you enter a mature stream a pop up shows stating
    “This stream has flashing lights…

  20. There are streamers on twitch, that use their body and sexual references to make money. This is fine, but we have minors donating to these streamers to get their names written on their bodies, to get their names moaned into the mics, and it’s overlooked because these streamers bring in money. I was suspended for saying an F-bomb but these kind of streams are fine? Putting an age restriction into place will allow these streams to be okay, and allow minors to safely navigate twitch. You don’t even need to be logged in to watch these streams. Enforcing your guidelines…
