  1. There has been a recent rise in streamers misusing the tag system, most noticeably with non-Vtubers using the Vtuber tag. This makes discoverability more difficult for both streamers who are actually Vtubers, and viewers trying to use the tag system to find Vtubers. Even prominent streamers are misusing tags, so this behavior has been spreading. I'd like to ask Twitch staff to please enforce action on the misuse of tags to help the streamers and viewers who are using the tag system as intended. Banning streamers from using specific tags they have been caught and verified to be abusing them…

Hi, thanks for flagging this and sharing your suggestion.

We share and understand your concerns about how the intentional, repeated misuse of tags can undermine the purpose of the tags product itself.  Tags are an important discoverability feature for communities, and a powerful way for all Creators—but especially those that are underrepresented—to express their personal identity and creative vision for their content.

We also do not feel Twitch should be the judge of Creators’ personal or creative identity, so we typically only enforce against the misuse of tags when it is associated with other behavior that violates our Community Guidelines such as hateful conduct or harassment.

That said, as the VTuber community’s experience demonstrates, there are limitations to this approach and we are actively investigating additional steps we can take to protect and improve the integrity of the tags feature at scale, without infringing on good faith Creators’ personal choice…

  2. There has to be a better way before going into suspension of an account for something said either in private or public chats. I have experience 3 different people from the LGTBQ+ community be hate reported and suspended for "unsolicited sexual advances" and this being automated is a huge problem as the community can be targeted, you need to have person review this kind of reports before suspending as its not fair for people to get suspensions on the word of a report

  3. The batch reporting tool is a good start, but it's not very useful. Please add a select all option and enable us to select a single report reason and add details to report all users at once instead of having to select each and every user. It's extremely tedious and time consuming when trying to report dozens or even hundreds or thousands of bots.

  4. When reporting a stream, there is no specific choice for reporting a streamer who is interacting with chat while driving. Distractive Driving needs to be added to the list, so it's clear.

  5. Many streamers display videos on screen in violation of copyright.
    (Movies, animations, etc.)
However, the copyright holder does not know this.
Allow viewers to report copyright infringements.

  6. The safety button on the dashboard just logs you out without warning, and when I sign back in, it treats computer I'm using like a new device requireing extra authentifications. It's the worst time for an inconvienience like that when your trying to deal with a major safety issue.
Speaking of which, there's a cocacola advertisement currently running that isn increadibly louder than all the other ads you run, and it hurt my ears a lot

    Hi there,

Could you please clarify what safety button you're referring to? Is it the Safety Center link towards the bottom of the Creator Dashboard menu? If so, I wasn't able to replicate the issue with it signing me out, when clicking it. Furthermore, I was curious to know what you are trying to access, to see if I can help clarify. Thank you!

  7. As twitch terms and conditions changed in June, all streamers cannot do Simulcasting (multistream). However, not only revenue-generating streamers, but also many streamers are Simulcasting (multistream) without prior permission from Twitch.
Why aren't streamers who are simulcasting (multistream) in violation of the terms and conditions punished?
We ask that streamers who are generating revenue be immediately terminated and temporarily suspended for violating the terms and conditions.
Also, please add Simulcasting (multistream) to your reporting categories.
Change the terms again to allow Simulcasting (multistream) only for regular streamers and prohibit Simulcasting (multistream) for monetized streamers.

  8. Remove the report button.

Why not? It's just a 'feel good' button. I keep reporting phishing scammers, cheaters, and use of viewbots.

Does Twitch do anything to stop them? Nope. I've flagged 1000 phishing(Not exaggeration) imposter accounts. They're still going.

I've flagged for cheating, with the specific rule, with the link to the said rule that the cheater is breaking and nothing happens.

The phishing scammers make a new one as one is taken down. No real way to prevent this menace.

The viewbots are quite obvious with looped video streams advertising a website or is to another phishing scam.

  9. Some streamers, such as 39Daph, have really offensive stream titles … Other streamers, such as Amouranth or TheDanDangler, have really offensive stream content. But there doesn’t seem to be a way to report them for offensive content or titles. It is really strange that Twitch doesn’t have offensive content as a ‘reason’ for reporting streamers.

  10. Twitch's complaints system is completely ineffective in dealing with DMCA violations.

It's part of Twitch's rules, that Twitch considers complaints against DMCA violations only from copyright holders. But how copyright holders could reach small channels, for 5-10 viewer? Of course they can't! And any day, any night i can see a dozens of active channels that broadcast movies and TV series without any rights to do so, grossly violating their user agreements with Twitch and DMCA, but i can't even report them for this.

If I want to complain about a violation of DMCA, I'm redirected to pages with lists…

  11. It would be great if new users were required to fill out a CAPTCHA before making an account. It would help get rid of all the fake engagement and prevent mass of bot accounts from being made.

Twitch use to have it in 2017, but it appears to be gone now - its unclear if removing CAPTCHA from account creation was intentional or accident.

  12. Hello,

I recently had an awful experience on Twitch that makes me uninterested in further using the service. This does involve a suspension, but please give me a chance to explain, it is not my goal to evade said suspension.

On March 17th I reported a user for sending me a NSFW **** link in my private messages. It was actioned on the same day, then exactly 7 days later on March 24th I was suspended very suddenly for allegedly sharing "sexually explicit content in public or private messages".

At this time I have served the suspension and would like…

  13. The hacking and/or hijacking of accounts for malicious purposes has been a known and happened issue on Twitch and is apparently detrimental for the safety of all users, either with accounts hacked or affected by subsequent malicious activities such as fraud or hate spam.
So, it would be good to have more active methods for users to report accounts that start to have suspicious activities, other than passively remind everyone to protect their own accounts.

Recently on a channel where I work as a moderator, there was a user who had been talking normally in the chat for several months…

  14. Vtubers and others who wish to hide potential past lives or the like often post such rules in their channels, which are almost always ignored by others who don't care about the legitimate reasons for wanting to start anew or not have any of their information be leaked online. At least the ability to send a private warning to other users for flagrant breaches of privacy and then a ban request if they continue to ignore it would be much appreciated.

  15. A collective place to review and edit (potentially add new evidence), previously submitted reports.

Including, an identifier that marks if a report has been actioned - this would coincide with the emails that inform us if our report has been actioned.

Additionally, this could be used to submit

  16. Is there a way to implement software that would recognize and suspend accounts which abuse the report feature? and those who spam report/file false reports against streamers based on their gender/race etc.? There has been an influx of streamers who are following Twitch ToS to a T, yet, due to their gender/sexual orientation/race, are being targeted, and reported for things they did not do or terms they did not violate. i.e. a streamer being reported for inappropriate attire and nudity, when she was wearing Christmas PJ's while gaming and the individual who reported her, bragged about it, told her he…

  17. I recently came across a stream who appeared to have accidentally gone live. Their stream was broadcasting everything they were doing on their phone and revealing a lot of personal information. They were entering their phone number, passwords, and all sorts of sensitive information without understanding it was being streamed.

It is the stream of my viewers who appears to have difficulty with technology, and some of my mods were trying to reach out in discord or in their chat to get their attention. We all immediately reported, but there doesn't seem to be a category for this. 6+ hours…

  18. Right now there isn't an option to report an account for impersonating another user. It's really easy for someone to make an account with a similar name by substituting an uppercase I for a lowercase L (I vs l) or with any other kind of letter/number substitution.

There should be an option to easily report an account for impersonating someone else.

  19. you need to have more selections on the report tool not less! the ones that u have to choose to progress have zero relevance to the issues we face. someone pretending to be someone else, scamming and more and there is nothing u can click. i dont think u have improved it at all. in fact u have made it impossble to report ban evaders and more! bring back the choices for goodness sake.

  20. Currently right now if you report a bunch of ban evading accounts , bot accounts you are limited to 50 accounts ( per 30 minutes/per day - it really depends ).

My idea is to allow no limit on reports for partners affiliates and known accounts ( 90 days ). I feel with this sorta arrangement people will be more wanting to use it vs avoiding it.

It would also be nice to be able to get back a message saying what account in question was removed/suspended/actioned on so we better clearly know what account. ( I do know that…
