I hit affiliate and was taking off, but then life happened and now I can't stream as much (many friends in the same boat). We want to be able to stream when we can, without the added pressure of people subbing or gifting subs. When people pay to see our content for a whole month, and we don't know when we're streaming again next, it makes us feel obligated to stream more.

Receiving bits, having channel points, and having emotes is still something that would be nice to keep, but at least letting us turn off subs as we please would be great. Another use case is during charity events - I would rather people donate to the charity than subscribe to my channel.

Every recent major change that has been push edout to content creators have been usually met with an immensity of upset or annoyance for the sake of that we as content creators have to deal with these changes being enforced on us without any kind of prior opportunity to try things out, to give feedback on if these changes would be beneficial to us as content creator.

The most recent example being the Unban Request manager. This is absolute not needed for a majority of streamers because when someone is banned, it's a permanent situation. Having to receive an unban request can be considered a further form of harassment in some situations.

We would love it if instead of enforcing these changes straight away, throw the idea of a change into the air to us the form of @TwitchSupport tweets, those in the Twitch RPG being able to properly test these planned changes early or give critical feedback as an effective research group, or even just a mailout to affiliates/partners to do a survey. It's literally as easy as that, and that way, you get your feedback before a global change is made that no-one likes.

May I remind you about the 'test' made for the mid-roll ads that were met with an immensity of uproar and outrage because once again, there was no prior warning given to us as creators. Just talk to us, we want your platform to do better. We feel unheard.

As of 2022, it was announced that simulcasting on Twitch and to "short-form" platforms such as TikTok and Instagram would be allowed but that simulcasting to YouTube/Facebook - "long-form" - would not be.

The reason? "...because [Twitch] believes engaging with two streams at once can lead to a sub-optimal experience for your community."

But as clearly demonstrated by Ninja who had to drop Partner/Affiliate in order to simulcast not only to YouTube but to many other platforms, the optimization of viewing experience is highly dependent on the content creator and it showed that it was possible to do it given that the creator had the OPTION to do so. Not everyone will be able to do it and that's fine but giving content creators the room and option to do so is healthy.

With the recent blog post in regards to the rejection of the proposed 70-30 revenue share between creators and Twitch, it is quite evident that ad revenue being dynamic in terms of profit is going to be emphasized a lot more by Twitch. I get it, the company needs to make profit as much as possible but in the same blog post the company also emphasized community and taking care of their creators.

This is why lifting the exclusivity clause on simulcasting to YouTube and other platforms that are long-form would be beneficial for both the creator and Twitch. Twitch will still receive ad-revenue, sub-based split revenue while receiving cross-pollinated traffic from other platforms (which is why Twitch allows streaming on YouTube now with its Partners, just not simulcasting) and the creators will be able to efficiently diversify how they make their content but more importantly SHARE their content in visible places.

Moreover for a lot of streamers who still rely on a part of their monthly income from Twitch, they don't have to lose out on benefits from being a Partner/Affiliate that they've worked hard to attain. For streamers that are part of Twitch stream teams and also (depending on directory) take advantage of Twitch Drops frequently to grow their audiences, this offers a way for sustaining and growing their brand on Twitch without feeling trapped by Twitch and will lead to less complaints for the dev-end to sift through when it comes to monetization/some viewing experience.

EN: I want every change to contract to be sent to the email address associated with the Affiliate / Partner account. For example, when an e-mail or other data has been changed in the contract, information should be sent to the e-mail assigned to the account. Streamers are losing money through data leaks, as I am because someone has changed my email to make a payment and Twitch is not willing to do anything about it or give me my money back.

Discoverbility is terrible on twitch. We already use different tricks to get more exposure through other sites trying to get people on our twitch.

Getting affiliate is not that hard. But reaching 75 viewers is difficult.
My suggestion is to allow affiliates to multistream to grow. To give us a little boost up.

In the end i believe this would benefit twitch because more viewers on a stream is more income for them. So they might want to think about allowing channels below 100 viewers on twitch to multistream. I got this idea because apparently Ninja dropped his status so he could multistream. Maybe this is not such a bad idea. Could become a new trend to drop status to multistream 🤔

I think that the difference in difficulty to get is too large from Affiliate to Partner being an Affiliate is fun and all but getting it compared to getting a Partner is too large. Maybe making it so that you need to average 10 viewers to become an Affiliate and average 60 viewers to become a Partner. This I think makes it easier for Affiliates to become partners as they will most likely have at least 100 Followers to average 10 Viewers every frame. This makes it so that Affiliates have larger channels and would make it easier for Affiliates to become a Partner. The difference between 10 and 60 Average Viewers is a lot less difficult to overcome than the difference between 3 Average Viewers and 75 Average viewers. Making this change could allow for channels to grow easier and allow streamers to have more fun.

The Just Chatting category must be limited to 2 hours per week per streamer as the name means everything and nothing at the same time.

A better definition of the streaming content would leave more space for small streamers and at the same time better distribute the whole community across multiple categories.

An Affiliate or Partner streamer must be able to define the quality of their content and consequently their categorization.

Also, giving people plenty of room to express themselves (sometimes badly) on certain topics can lead to a lot of misinformation that can very well be dangerous.
My idea, however, is aimed at a wider distribution of content and community to increase the possibilities, for small streamers, to be discovered which is not easy at the moment due to the attraction in the Just Chatting category (saturated).
